Brentarded? - sorry for issue if one was caused

Hello Gogo, I realize that with the username chosen it seems like the brentarded is a reference, however here in the Vancouver both gary and brentarded are words being used regularly as described. I simply posted them as many I know are using the terms and including myself and I am constantly explaining their meaning. I'd like to simply refer them to Wiki for answers, easier. The user choice is simply due to the synonym. deletion valid reference on gemstone page

Hi

You deleted a reference I've been using on and off for years. Quoting Wikipedia guidelines point 3): "online textbooks" the reference is in fact according wikipedia linking guidelines. The page shows over 100 full text copyright-free (antique) scientific publications on gemological topics and is furthermore a non-commercial page without and advertisements. The reference I am referring to is This library page

Unless you have a valid reason to delete the reference I will be placing it back. I would furthermore appreciate it if you would contact me before deleting references I add. I take great care in the sources I use.

Upon further inspection I just noticed you were trying to undo the spammer's link addition so I presume it got lost in "the noise". I will wait with re-adding it until things get more "tranquil" to prevent confusion.

I've been asked by the artist Casino Steel to remove the total nonsense on the enlish Wikipedia page about Casino Steel. Someone has twisted the information and facts about him in a way that is very provocative for him.

First I tried to remove all information but for som reason it appears again. Then Casino Steel has sent me his biography so I put that up instead. This biography is published on his web site www.casinosteel.com but he has the rights to this material.

Would you please inform me on why I can't edit this nonsense? As I said; it is a complete falsification almost the entire page.

Hi Gogo, the band Hereafter has a substantial following in the Southeast asia Region, touring there as well as locally in Brisbane, Queensland, and around Australia. You Do A Very Good Job Here :)

I had that change up for less than a minute and you took it down, bravo :) I was curious about the Wikipedia response times. I couldn't post it on the sandbox as it would have stayed there and defeat the purpose. Granted it wasn't the smartest thing to do, but the experience left me satisfied and impressed. People say that "oh anyone can edit Wikipedia" to downplay it's value as a resource suggesting it's a free for all. But you have proven it's moderated efficiently. Could have been worse lol. You need to establish his notability per the guidelines for inclusion for musicians. Language of Prohibition

Actually the language of abolition is correct here. Those who see prostitution as a form of male violence against women ("exploitation" as the listing names it) do not want to "prohibit" prostitution, but rather see progressive laws put in place that penalize the exploiter. There are important differences between the "prohibitionists" and "abolitionists". Prohibitionists would advocate for the criminalization of all parties involved in prostitution. Abolitionists advocate for the decriminalization of the person being sold and penalizing the buyers and pimps. Additionally, abolitionists advocate for robust services for all women including education, a livable income, access to affordable housing, etc. before they are forced to prostitute, and for exit services for prostituted women. The reason I changed the language is that in the current prostitution debate in Canada the term "abolitionist" refers to the counter-position to those advocating for full decriminalization. Concerning Issues of Abuse

First and foremost I posted information from a very credible and reliable source Bankole Johnson this was disputed by two people in questions, understandbly why, not everyone would like what he had to say. However the source used to counter Mr. Johnsonm has severe crediblity issues. Myself and a number of editors have reversed the deletes, but what is worse, I and a relatively new member user have been referred to as sock puppets. I do not have a sock puppet nor am I one. I find this type of behavior intimidating and abusive. I have posted a rebuttal on the discussion page, including information concerning the unreliabilty and bias of the source used to counter Johnson. It is at the bottom of page.

non-free image on dubstep

hello again gogo, hope you are well! i could use your help with something - User:Novemus has added an image to the article which i have reverted, because it added nothing to the article - now, the problem is that he's uploaded it under GFDL, but this is emphatically not his own work. it's been doing the rounds as a cover for audio-only youtube vids amongst other things since 2005ish. i'm not that well up on the process for disputed licensing, so perhaps you could assist me with nominating for deletion. i think it's also on commons, btw. It was at best a (junior?) high school garage band. Jasta had left after a mere two years to start Hatebreed. I mean, I could see including it in the Jasta article, but as it stands the band is wholly unnotable. Can you please explain why you removed the delete tag? The Deletion of Matthew S. Wilson

First off let it be noted that I respect your decision. I understand that you must deal with a lot of Spam here at Wikipedia, Kids trying to promote themselves, teens trying to promote their bands. All sorts of things I'm sure. However, I feel as though my Matthew S. Wilson page was deleted without just cause. I think the page was deleted mainly because you, haven't heard of Matthew S. Wilson, which does not mean he isn't important enough to be featured on Wikipedia's website. I've followed Matthew almost since the release of his first mixtape, and I know that he is worthy enough simply by his record breaking number of downloads of his mixtape on Datpiff. I completely understand that there's a policy for deleting articles, but I think that some should be a little more forgiving, or actually take the time to realize that you don't know everything, about everything. And that because something looks shady, or not up to par, that it isn't irrelevant, or not worthy, and give the creator fair warning that it isn't up to par, and give them a chance to fix it. The article I created for Matthew S. Wilson is completely relevant, and of importance, but it was marked for speedy deletion within 5 minutes, and then deleted completely within 30 minutes. I did not make a mistake at that time back in 2007 because most of the points you brought up were not available back in 2007 as they had not happened yet. For #1, all of the references except for the Wilmington Star article was published after 2007, so could not have been used back then. For #6, the Kooley High article did not exist in 2007 (it was created in 2009) and there was no mention of any connection to Kooley High in the article as it was in 2007 (and even if there was, since the article on Kooley High did not exist, it would have not established their notability since there would have been no context). For #9, the contest happened in 2008, so was not known in 2007. For #12, the same thing applies: the television show happened in 2008 and the article was deleted in 2007.

So, back in 2007, the deletion was correct. The band did not meet the notability guidelines from the things that had happened up to 2007. Lots can change in three years and this happens to be one of the "up-and-coming" (per the deleted article in 2007) that really did make it. So as of today in 2010, the band is probably notable for the reasons you indicted. What you can do is create an account and write a fresh article with the references you provided or, if you do not want to create an account, you can use the article wizard to request one to be made for you. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 06:04, 17 December 2010 (UTC)

Rob is a World-Class athlete who just had brain surgery and his story is notable for his athletic accomplishments. It is also inspiring to others because of his hardships. His fans and friends will contribute to the article. With his informed consent I will expand the article within the next week sufficiently to match Wikipedia's standards for relevancy.
