Speedy deletion templates edit

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you.--Bongwarrior 09:08, 25 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Page move of Robert Silverberg edit

Please do not move a page to a title that is harder to follow or move it unilaterally while discussion about it is underway. We have some guidelines to help with deciding what title is best for a subject. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Thank you. --Bongwarrior 09:20, 25 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Read WP:NOT. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and it is not a breeding ground for whatever you want to post here. There are other websites that you can use to post personal opinions, such as MySpace or LiveJournal. Thanks, Nishkid64 (talk) 16:39, 25 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hello. I have deleted your userpage because Wikipedia is not a blog. I have also deleted the article David Charles Osborne which was a redirect to your userpage for the same reason. Please contact me if you have any questions about these deletions. Pascal.Tesson 05:55, 3 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Zurvita edit

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Zurvita, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.zurvita.com. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.)

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 08:56, 17 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Zurvita edit

A tag has been placed on Zurvita requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. March 2010 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 09:02, 17 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of "GOOOH Florida" edit

A page you created, GOOOH Florida, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is a test page. Use the sandbox for testing.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you. DARTH SIDIOUS 2 (Contact) 13:38, 22 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Re your message: You are welcome to recreate the article, though you will probably need to establish why the Florida chapter is notable enough to warrant an article separate from the GOOOH article. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 17:41, 22 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of GOOOH Florida edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on GOOOH Florida, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you.    Thorncrag   03:12, 23 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi there. Whereas GOOOH in general has questionable notability, you will have a tough time having an independent article for a local chapter, especially one which has no information or assertion of importance. Further, an article which has one brief sentence but lists links will be interpreted as spam. I would suggest merging the Florida chapter into the GOOOH article.    Thorncrag   03:14, 23 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

I see you marked the GOOOH page for deletion requesting additional sources. I am the GOOOH Florida Director and I have tried TWICE to create a GOOOH Florida page, and suggest that all 50 State Directors create a GOOOH - "state" page as well.

The NATIONAL Goooh Organization is somewhat of a "new political party" but not in the traditional sense since the National Party has no agenda and each candidate in each of the 435 CONGRESSIONAL districts is able to define their own platform.

This is significant on its own merit, the State director is the "key leader" in each State who has the responsibility to find/appoint district leaders and partner with other grass roots political organizations to bring ALL citizens into the GOOOH process.... regardless of their position on ANY issue.

Please allow me to create a GOOOH Florida page. I am not a WIKI expert but I am sure that there are several in our organization that can take on the task of starting an appropriate page for each State. David.osborne1 (talk) 15:11, 23 October 2010 (UTC) David.osborne1 (talk) 15:13, 23 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

I understand your frustration. However please understand that Wikipedia is designed to contain articles for organizations which are notable; it is not intended to itself serve as a platform to enhance or create that notability, which is why it is demanded that organizations such as these immediately provide references that assert it's real-world coverage and notoriety. You may want to review the guidelines on notability. If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to drop them on my talk page again. Cheers!    Thorncrag  18:12, 23 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

File copyright problem with File:25floridagoooh.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading File:25floridagoooh.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Chris G Bot (talk) 02:20, 12 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:Gooohfloridalogo.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Gooohfloridalogo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 03:26, 29 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of ByronDonalds edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on ByronDonalds requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. ViperSnake151  Talk  21:29, 14 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia is not an election noticeboard edit

Wikipedia is not for what you are trying to do. It is a project to build an encyclopedia, and is not for advertising or promotion of any kind: one of its fundamental policies is WP:Neutral point of view. In particular, being an unelected candidate for political office does not confer the notability required for a Wikipedia article. If candidate articles are allowed, it leads to edit-warring between supporters trying to make them into election manifestos full of promotional fluff and opponents trying to vandalise them. After the election is the time to make an article for the elected representative.

If you are connected with the candidate or his team, please read the guideline Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. JohnCD (talk) 09:04, 15 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Your submission at Articles for creation edit

Thank you for your recent submission to Articles for Creation. Your article submission has been reviewed. File permission problem with File:ByronDonalds.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:ByronDonalds.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 15:06, 12 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

File source problem with File:ByronDonaldsProfile.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading File:ByronDonaldsProfile.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 11:08, 17 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
