Yasu (野洲市 Yasu-shi) is a city located in Shiga Prefecture, Japan. The city was formed on October 1, 2004, by the merger of the towns of Yasu and Chūzu; in doing so, the former Yasu District was dissolved.
As of August 1, 2011 the city has an estimated population of 50,583. The total area is 80.15 km².
