Political appointments by Donald Trump

It would be much appreciated if editors would watch and periodically update Political appointments by Donald Trump and its sub-articles. This is a useful article, but it's neglected and becoming very out-of-date. --1990'sguy (talk) 16:33, 28 May 2020 (UTC)

Massachusetts legislative districts and sessions

We're having a discussion over at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Massachusetts about the naming convention for sessions of the state legislature (currently, e.g., 179th Massachusetts General Court (1995–1996)); and for legislative districts (currently, e.g., Massachusetts Senate's 3rd Middlesex district and Massachusetts House of Representatives' 3rd Middlesex district). Input from WP:PLT members is welcome! ``` t b w i l l i e ` $1.25 ` 03:36, 8 June 2020 (UTC)

Ballot harvesting needs work

Just came across Ballot harvesting, which has received 100k views in the last month. It's surprisingly poor in quality. I don't think I'll have much time to work on it (and, unlike some others, I'm sure, haven't really been digging into the reliable sourcing on the subject), so putting it here for now. — Rhododendrites talk \\ 00:48, 9 June 2020 (UTC)

The article is/was basically echoing talking points, and tons of people are reading it. Just adding this to underscore the dire need for attention. — Rhododendrites talk \\ 00:57, 9 June 2020 (UTC)
This is a good catch. I've watched it and I'll try to put some work in when I have a moment. - Astrophobe (talk) 18:15, 10 June 2020 (UTC)

Reopening the conversation on Trumpism and fascism

You are invited to join the discussion at Talk:List_of_fascist_movements#Semi-protected_edit_request_on_11_June_2020.

I know that this is a well worn and controversial topic, but in light of the shift described in the recent article "The Debate Over the Word Fascism Takes a New Turn" by Jennifer Szalai in The New York Times,[1] I wonder it may be possible reopen the discussion in a civil and productive way. While a definitive statement identifying Trumpism with fascism may not be advisable, a section in List_of_fascist_movements detailing the controversy, and the fact that notable mainstream historians, philosophers and political scientists have come around over time to viewing the term as a useful description, seems to me appropriate. Center for Countering Digital Hate

The current version of the Center for Countering Digital Hate article seems to contain quite a lot of loaded language: I think some review by non-involved editors would be useful to ensure that it meets the WP:NPOV criteria. -- The Anome (talk) 06:21, 17 June 2020 (UTC)

An RfC which may be of interest to the members of this project can be found here. Beyond My Ken (talk) 17:12, 19 June 2020 (UTC)

The RfC clearly states: An editor is attempting to remove the following material from this article: and if that is not neutral, then the RfC is not neutral. I am going to state that at the article talk page because it indicates to me that the RfC is malformed. Atsme Talk 📧 17:39, 19 June 2020 (UTC)

Colombian politics improvement

I assume this is fairly low on the to do list, but if anyone knows anything about Colombian politics it would be great if they could take a look at the articles- I tried to use them to understand the politics better and they’re all pretty low quality. 201.232.213.20 (talk) 00:33, 5 July 2020 (UTC)BBMJ13 04/07/2003

Kamala Harris

The page is undergoing an extraordinary number of edits in advocacy of Sen. Harris receiving the Democratic nomination for Vice President of the United States. These edits have received some media coverage. Semi-protection did not seem to help the situation much, and my request for Full protection was (legitimately, IMHO) denied. If you are so inclined, please drop it on your watchlist and keep eyes on it. Rklahn (talk) 19:20, 5 July 2020 (UTC)

Does Michelle Tidball (Kanye VP) deserve an article?

As I'm sure many are aware, Kanye West has recently announced his intention to run for President in 2020. This has been one of the main stories (it's on the front page of BBC US and Canada and had lots of articles) and has received a lot more coverage than a third party campaign usually would. This raises the question. Is Michelle Tidball (Kanye's proposed VP) notable? She has had a fair bit of coverage just in the last 12 hours including this from forbes: [1], but has only received coverage for being announced as Kanye's VP. It's probably WP:TOOSOON at this exact moment, but would people be against it if she had an article? AlessandroTiandelli333 (talk) 22:39, 8 July 2020 (UTC)

It seems like she will inevitably have one if this candidacy does not turn out to be a stunt. BD2412 T 22:53, 8 July 2020 (UTC)

Scope of this project and of Politics of COUNTRY articles

Hey! I'm a relateivly new contributor to any given WikiProject, so I'm not particularly comfortable or know what I'm doing, but I was just wondering a few scopes. Does this WikiProject include governments/government agencies, or purely politics (Democrats vs Republicans etc)? Also, with articles along the line of Politics of COUNTRY (Politics of Australia etc), exactly what do they cover? - at least in Australia, politics is considered just Labor vs Liberal vs Greens etc (electoral campaigns pretty much), whereas the article explains the governance of Australia with a brief little section about Political Parties (which List of political parties in Australia then goes into ore detail about... even though it's a list article). Any help would be really appreciated! ItsPugle (talk) 12:29, 12 July 2020 (UTC)
