Mark A. Sammut

A series of changes by an anonimous user on this just-revised page: [1]. To be noted, the page had oroginally likely been drafted by the same subject, and such accounts had later been blocked for sockpuppetry. --Dans (talk) 09:19, 12 January 2022 (UTC)

Current article does not seem to have any issues of WP:POV. Any particular part you are referring to? Signed, Pichemist ( Contribs | Talk ) 14:25, 12 January 2022 (UTC)
I think the most recent edit is quite problematic - it arbitrarily removes sections of the article which are clearly of public interest and were well-referenced. These include statements related to the subject being disciplined by the European Parliament (and his subsequent lawsuit against the EP being dismissed), as well as the lawsuit by Raymond Mangion against the subject. As @Dans stated, I believe it's a clear case of a person writing their own article. It seems they have been blocked so a quick revert should do just fine. Signed, Pichemist ( Contribs | Talk ) 09:48, 17 January 2022 (UTC)
here is a message from the same anonymous user (claiming Malta Today is an unreliable "tabloid"). I believe all changes by 2a02:a03f:a59f:9100:701f:f18d:206e:e4a3 should be reverted, but I would appreciate if someone else than me could do it, so that it does not look like a bilateral issue between me and this anonymous user. --Dans (talk) 11:53, 17 January 2022 (UTC)
At this point it's probably wisest to just delete the article. Signed, Pichemist ( Contribs | Talk ) 14:13, 17 January 2022 (UTC)
And see Talk:Mark_A._Sammut#Article in dire need of clean-up by @Elemimele: --Dans (talk) 13:33, 17 January 2022 (UTC)
I was unaware the article was under discussion here, and posted on its talk-page as an outsider concerned at the article's problems. I'm glad it's under discussion here with people who know what they're talking about! I know absolutely nothing about Malta, so I'm not the right person to fix it. It just reeked of potential COI and definite poor/absent referencing. I can't judge whether the subject is notable. Elemimele (talk) 15:36, 17 January 2022 (UTC)
As a Maltese national with a keen interest in the subject's field, I have never heard of him yet the references say otherwise. I suggest a second opinion. Signed, Pichemist ( Contribs | Talk ) 15:57, 17 January 2022 (UTC)
I've heard of him, but primarily through knowledge of his father's work (his father was one of Malta's foremost novelists), rather than through any work of his own. I wouldn't really have thought that he was notable, to be honest. Nevborg (talk) 18:24, 17 January 2022 (UTC)
I'm going to consider this as an instance consensus and propose deletion for it. Signed, Pichemist ( Contribs | Talk ) 19:16, 17 January 2022 (UTC)
