It is a concern that such a high profile article on a living person is so poorly sourced. It is a matter of priority that statements are sourced. See Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons. Quotations from Elton John or any other person must be closely cited, as per Wikipedia:Quotations. If reliable sources cannot be found then all contentious material should be removed - [1]. Medal of Honor related articles

Over the past month or so I have been going through all the Medal of Honor related articles varifying their assessment status, makingn notes and creating a page to track it. This is not a formal project, just smoething that I created to give myself a starting point to start building up the content of the Medal of Honor related articles. I though I would post this out here as well in case others are interested as well. If you look at this page Medal of Honor assessments other than Amerian Civil War (ACW) you will find tables oif all of the Medal of Honor recipients other than those for the ACW with their assessment and some rough notes. This page reflects the same for the ACW Medal of Honor recipients and this page reflects those that still need to be created. The ones who are lined out are already done, although some are still stubs and need work. Just a few notes about the state of the articles in general:

1. All have infoboxes
2. Most have persondata
3. All have references although some need to be cleanup and expanded
4. Most have a link to at least one applicable portal
5. Most have a link to at least 1 list
6. Many still need photos
7. A little over half the recipients have pages but a lot still do not, most of those that still need articles are in the Indian wars or the American Civil War.
8. I am currently working on cleaning up the talk pages making sure they all have appropriate project banners (At a minimum they should have biography, MILHIST and United States), task forces and general info tags (needs photo, persondata, infobox, etc.).

A query about the article regarding Kenneth Anderson (hunter)

I am really cofused about the exact year of death of Kenneth Anderson(b 1910). Whereas the Wikipedia article states that the Scottish Indian hunter turned conservationist died in 1974, the Kenneth Anderson Omnibus, Vol,I, Fourth Impression 2002, published by Rupa & Co.,India, contains a story " The Mauler of Rajnagara"(p.386, Ibid), which opens with this line : " AT THE MOMENT OF TELLING THIS STORY(NOVEMBER 1995) THE MAULER IS STILL ALIVE". Now, this is utterly sunning! Was Anderson alive till 1995? Can anyone pl. clarify?

The story was published in his second book. As his third book was published in 1959, it is very unlikely that he wrote his second book 36 years after his third book. Janet Munro page in need of citations.

She was an actress (seen in the movies "The Swiss Family Robinson" and "Darby O'Gill and the Little People") who passed away in 1972. The article here claims she was an alcoholic and died of myocarditis but provieds no citations for these and other statements made about her. HOWARD STORM

Everyone has a personal testiomy. Facts can not always be proved, but that doesn't mean the testimony is any less true. People have no problem believing in near death experiences when it involves heaven. Why? Is it because it's a glorious place? Is it because heaven is close to God? Is it because heaven is where most people want to end up some day? If a person can have a NDE and experience heaven before returning to their earthly body, then why do people have a difficult time believing a person can experience hell before returning to their earthly body? Is it because the concept of hell is something to real and too fearful to comprehend? Is it because people want to continue living for themself rather than living for a higher spiriual power? Whether one wants to believe it or not, we're all going to be spending eternity somewhere. The choice is ours to make. Will it be heaven, or will it be hell? NDE experiences are provided as a gift from God so that others will hear and have their eyes opened to the heaven/hell reality.

I say leave the article in! To all the nay-sayers: It may not be YOUR testimonty, but it IS Mr. Storm's! It may not be how you would have written the article if it were your experience, but it is how he chose to write it; and, therefore, it is correct in every aspect!

Having said that, we don't need testimonials here, nor on the article talk page and all articles need to meet notability requirements. McLaughlin Reference on Julee Rosso Page

On Julee Rosso's page, the connecting link to Michael McLaughlin (the cookbook author) is going to the wrong Michael McLaughlin (the British far-right politician). Also, I have a copy of The Silver Palate Good Times Cookbook, which references Sarah Leah Chase, not McLaughlin, as its co-author. However, McLaughlin may have worked on other cookbooks besides The Silver Palate Cookbook with Julee Rosso and Sheila Lukins. We have a long-standing dispute/edit war going on at Yehuda Amichai. User:Epeefleche is currently trying to mediate at Talk:Yehuda Amichai, but it's quite intense and it looks like it's going to take a fair bit of time and effort. If there's anyone here who might be able to join in the mediation attempt, and offer opinions and suggestions, I would be very grateful. (Disclaimer: I am one of the parties in the dispute). DR. VAN SERTIMA ENTRY IS RIDDLED WITH WESTERN BIAS

I was executive producer of a long running radio program which featured Dr. Van Sertima's work. I also had the pleasure of attending a lecture he gave at California State University at Dominguez Hills. I also spoke with him at length by phone about a book he was finishing: "The Golden Age Of The Moor". The founder of the program has countless hours of Dr. Van Sertima in both lecture, and interview.

The late Dr. Van Sertima was constantly embattled with attacks from European centered critics that want to keep clear facts about Africans in antiquity out of history. I attempted to truthfully, edit this un-abashed malignment of his work and memory to keep it in the "conjecture" catagory in the minds of readers about him.

I researched Dr. Van Sertima's findings, and came to the same OBJECTIVE conclusions he did. Its fact that the Native Americans were Africoid. I've researched countless drawings, and etchings of early natives that substantiate his documentation.

I am tired of White supremacist media lying about the truth in history to affirm its so-called stronghold on the minds of Black people. The truth is already out, and there is no turning back. Lennox Lewis

Lewis vs. Klitschko

The last sentence of this section states that Lewis was leading 58-56 on points when the fight was stopped. However, other sources suggest that it was in fact Klitschko who was leading with the same points score. My best source for this is at http://www.411mania.com/boxing/columns/99658/From-the-Vault-03.18.09:-Lewis-vs.-Klitschko.htm. I don't know how authoritative this would be considered. Other web sources also suggest that Klitschko was leading but without being so unequivocal about the score at the TKO.

Lady Gaga image

Hi all. I wanted to have a clarification from a biography point of view. In the Lady Gaga article, which of the following images is best suited to be used in the infobox?

Setting up direct DNB links

While something of a biographer, I've not been here before. I wanted to mention that the Dictionary of National Biography (DNB), Victorian version, is being posted at Wikisource, a project that will take a number of years yet. Very many Wikipedia biographies (deaths by 1900) do cite the DNB in this edition, and I have created a maintenance category Category:Articles requiring a direct DNB link for any articles that would benefit from linking to an online biography in the DNB. As things stand, about 10% of the biographies have been created, and adding the category on the Talk page of any article will mean that biographies that are needed for referencing here can be given some priority. (I have in mind that the category will mainly be used in cases where the paper DNB is already cited; I'm interested in existing online citations too, but I have found many of those with the External Link Search tool. If you add the category when the DNB is not yet cited in the article, please leave a Talk page note if you are thinking of someone other than the subject of the article, otherwise it could be puzzling.) Question: Biography of a married couple

Having created a variety of biography articles, I am drafting an article entitled: Doris Ashley and Franklin Daniel Huffine. As can be deduced from the title Doris and Dan are a married couple. Apart from their early years and few years after Dan’s death, their biographies are essentially the same inter-twined story of their years working in and around Glacier National Park. If one wrote separate articles on each, each article would contain essentially the same story. Notability is not an issue here. My question is this: Are there guidelines or MOS issues I should be concerned about in crafting this article? A quick review of the Biography project pages provide no clues in this regard. Below is the probable lead-in to this article and potential outline.
Doris Dorothy Ashley (born February 1, 1902, died January 20, 1989) and Franklin Daniel (Dan) Huffine (born 1905, died December 2, 1984) married 47 years were Glacier National Park (U.S.) employees, concessionaire employees, entrepreneurs in and about Glacier National Park operating several tourist related establishments and museums in close proximity to the park from 1925 to 1989. --Mike Cline (talk) 02:22, 23 February 2010 (UTC)

Pope Joan - medical aspect

User talk: As a retired scientist (reproductive medicine, biochemist) since six years, I (Jeanne S. E. Dericks-Tan) missed the medical aspect of Pope Joan in english as well as in german wikipedia articles. Since my retirement, I am dealing with gardening and reproduction in botany (fruit, wildfruit) with historical aspects from the ancient time untill now. Together with my coauthor Gabriele Vollbrecht (history, mathematics), we contribute to many german wikipedia articles.

In the section Related issues or see also - we propose to add Pope Joan: an obvious syndrome:

In Time magazine in 1979 it says that the former U.S. Treasury Secretary W. Michael Blumenthal was married to Eileen Policy since 1951 while Wikipedia says that he married Margaret Polley in 1951. I wonder was Eileen Policy previously Margaret Polley ?

Category:WPBiography templates using nested parameter

I dunno what's going on with Category:WPBiography templates using nested parameter, but I found it unparented and added a parent category ... however, it contains tons of article talk pages. I suspect that some template which is supposed to be in this category has omitted the <noinclude>...</noinclude> wrappers. I haven't the energy to fix it myself, but maybe someone might like to investigate.
