Phoenix people edit

No point in making an "attendees" section before we have the details of any event, but it would be nice to have a central list of Phoenix (or near) people to contact in the case of future goings-on.

Table edit

Maybe we should make a table where each person can fill out availability, preferred locations, etc? That might help us get a better idea of what's going on. -- Ned Scott 05:46, 11 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Yeah or someone just needs to be bold and propose something. :) --Laser brain (talk) 06:14, 11 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
I would, but it depends on whether we want to pick a central location (and where that is). If it's Tempe as I assumed, I'm not as familiar with the area as others, so I don't really have a recommendation. It doesn't sound like we're very picky though, if anyone has an idea. ;-) Dominic·t 11:10, 11 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

First meeting edit

I should have remembered to check this page sooner. I guess I missed the one for today, but I hope it went well! Looking forward to hearing how it went. -- Ned Scott 04:50, 29 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Missed it too, it really snuck up on me. Who showed? --Laser brain (talk) 17:07, 29 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
Um, the person only put it up a couple of hourse ahead of time, which is kind of weird. I think it's safe to say that since noone came that one doesn't count as a real meetup, and you folks should start thinking about getting a real date planned.--Pharos (talk) 17:55, 7 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
I have removed the WP:geonotice for now, because it's been there for a while with no recent discussion here. If you folks pick a date, I'll gladly put it back up with that date.--Pharos (talk) 23:26, 13 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

All righty edit

Who wants to attend a meetup while the weather's good? I'll plan it as long as at least a handful of people would show. Heck, I'm up for grabbing a beer at the Skeptical Chymist if nothing else. --Spike Wilbury (talk) 16:53, 18 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

I'd be interested. Tan | 39 16:56, 18 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
Cool, what's your availability? I work in Scottsdale so it's easy for me to do something on a weeknight. Weekends are kind of a mixed bag between now and the holidays. --Spike Wilbury (talk) 18:02, 18 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
I work from home (16th St and Northern) most of the time, and travel for work 4-6 days a month. I'm pretty much booked through the holidays on weekends, tho. Maybe we should set something up for January. Tan | 39 18:27, 18 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
I'd be up for it. Brandon (talk) 20:10, 18 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
So is the consensus that only weekends are good, and that we should wait until January? --Spike Wilbury (talk) 21:33, 18 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
I can do weekdays or January, so I don't really have any input there. Brandon (talk) 22:23, 18 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
I'm thinking about planning a weeknight meet and greet somewhere in the east valley for soon, and then a larger meet in January on a weekend. --Spike Wilbury (talk) 03:06, 19 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
Sounds good to me, I'm going to see if I can find Dominic. We made up the last "meetup.". Brandon (talk) 03:19, 19 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Two attendees so far... not a very impressive showing! I guess December in general must be a bummer for everyone? --Spike Wilbury (talk) 15:20, 1 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

So should we move the venue to Scottsdale since everyone attending is there? --Spike Wilbury (talk) 02:40, 7 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
Dom and I approve of this. Brandon (talk) 02:51, 7 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
All right. Any suggestions? --Spike Wilbury (talk) 04:24, 7 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
Well, never mind. I just found out I have to move out of where I am living by Saturday, so I will be unavailable until after the holidays. --Spike Wilbury (talk) 20:17, 7 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
As much fun as Dominic is I think it'd be best to scrap this one and try again after the holidays. Brandon (talk) 22:43, 7 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
OK, I've removed it from WP:geonotice (and also Template:Meetup). I'll gladly put up another geonotice whenver you folks have a new date ready.--Pharos (talk) 22:52, 7 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
