I live in Arizona, USA. My main focus on Wikipedia is working on articles about entertainment and fiction (particularly anime and science fiction, which is probably not a big surprise), though I do enjoy working on much more than just those kinds of articles. Lately I've been more active in meta space than in article space, focusing on discussions and technical features such as templates. I'm also very interested in applying some of the methodology of Wikipedia to other wikis around the internet, which lead me to start up WikiProject Transwiki.
Unfortunately my personal time is being consumed by some other stuff lately, and I'm not nearly as active as I once was. Don't let that stop you from leaving me a message or asking for assistance if you feel I can be of some help! I will always be a Wikipedian, and look forward to always having at least some level of contribution to this great project. I also plan on getting more active again to at least finish a number of projects/ideas that I've either had or was involved in.

Should we refer to Julian Assange as a journalist?

Talk:2024 United States presidential election
There is currently an edit dispute on whether Kennedy Jr. should appear in the infobox of states that will likely not receive polling in the 2024 presidential election or have not been polled yet.
Option #1: Kennedy Jr. should appear in the infobox of every state he has ballot access in. Option #2: If the aggregate state polling shows Kennedy Jr. under >5% or >10% (whatever is determined by the RFC): then he shouldn't be included. If no polling has been done or he is above 5-10%, then he should be included. Option #3: Kennedy Jr. should not appear in the infobox if polling of the state has not been performed. |
Talk:Francis Scott Key Bridge (Baltimore)
The lead section first sentence says "The bridge was", in past tense. Should the first sentence be in past tense (Support past tense); or in present tense (Oppose past tense)? -- GreenC 19:24, 5 April 2024 (UTC) |
Should the nationality in the lead section be represented as English or British? HorrorLover555 (talk) 15:56, 5 April 2024 (UTC) |
Hi fellow editors. The conversation about changing Ariana's photo seems to be going nowhere. From what I can see, there doesn't seem to be any decisions being made but constant edit warring, so I thought starting an RFC would be the best course of action. There are so many images available so I am unsure why this has become a problem but hopefully this speeds things along. Comment below which photo you think the article should to change to and feel free to comment on why! Maxwell King123321 01:43, 4 April 2024 (UTC) |
Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard
Following both previous discussions at Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard/Archive 315#Is WION a reliable source? and Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard/Archive 335#WION News, should WION News can be considered as unreliable? 103.230.81.135 (talk) 03:10, 24 March 2024 (UTC) |
This page has a fairly large section that takes up about half of the page detailing a list of times that space marines have appeared in fiction. I removed the section on the basis of it being unsourced, WP:FANCRUFT, and for it being an WP:INDISCRIMINATE list of WP:TRIVIA. However, this edit was reverted because an editor thought that this section was "very different" from other pop-culture sections. Instead of engaging in an edit war, I would like to make a request for comments to decide if the section should be removed, stay, or if some other solution can be decided on. Thanks. As this talk page shows, there has been an intractable debate on whether the subject should be described as Greek (or Albanian etc) and what spelling his name should have and connected questions. This RfC hopes to solve this issue. The issues are as follows:

Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Enforcing ECR for article creators
The purpose of this RfC is to determine the consensus for how creations in violations of general sanctions such as WP:ARBECR should be enforced. Awesome Aasim 04:14, 8 April 2024 (UTC) |
Wikipedia talk:Criteria for speedy deletion
Should there be a new R5 criteria for incorrectly formatted redirects to DAB pages? Redirects to disambiguation pages with malformities qualifiers such as Foo (desambiguation), Foo (DISAMBIGUATION) and Foo (Disambiguation), this excludes redirect using the correct WP:INTDAB title namely Foo (disambiguation) or any title that has useful history. Redirects with incorrect qualifiers that don't target disambiguation pages can be deleted under G14.Crouch, Swale (talk) 18:50, 6 April 2024 (UTC) |
Should we add Rowling's comments on India Willoughby from March 2024 to the end of the second paragraph of views -> transgender people before the paragraph as a whole is rewritten? I am proposing that we (only) add a short summary of the fact she did misgender Willoughby on Twitter and a short quote of one of the comments she made (see examples I have proposed elsewhere in this talk page). It would have a maximum length of two sentences. Subsequent developments after her comments themselves (police report etc) would not be included. The comments Rowling made on Willoughby in March are separate from those made on several transgender people including Willoughby on April Fools' Day. I'm almost certain her comments in March were the first times Rowling publicly misgendered a trans person. This would not include Rowling's additional recent comments on trans people in Nazi Germany, or other recent (separate) topics related to her views on trans people. 13tez (talk) 23:30, 4 April 2024 (UTC) |
Should the following proposed insertion to the list of exemptions to the edit warring policy be added?
