June 2008 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Saab Lofton. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Saab Lofton edit

Hi -- I left a quick note addressed to everyone who has been working on the article on the talk page. Best, phoebe / (talk to me) 04:09, 11 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

You're welcome. This was maybe not the best article to get started on :) Most articles are not this controversial and hard to work on, I promise. -- phoebe / (talk to me) 06:01, 12 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

To all members of the Anarchist Task Force - about improvement of the AI-Wiki-page edit

I have just joined the Anarchist Task Force, and I have had some problems with publishing of my Anarchist International Wikipedia page, see my sandbox http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Anna_Quist/Anarchist_International for the present version/proposal. This page needs improvements to reach Wiki-consensus, and this should be a somewhat collective project to avoid a "COI"-template. As I am new to editing here on Wikipedia I need help with the page, I hope for your cooperation with this improvement. As an introduction to this cooperation, feel free to read this note on my talk page:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Anna_Quist#Message_to_all_anarchists_on_Wikipedia_-_Anarchy_is_cooperation_without_coercion.2Fdestruction.2Fdeletion_-_about_the_deletion_of_the_AI-Wiki-page_and_cooperation_to_achieve_an_updated_AI-page_with_general_Wiki-consent .

Any contribution, matter of fact criticism, to give input and advice, or even contribute to new sections, will be helpful, and is much appreciated. Please join in the project...

Congratulations! edit

Manifesto of the Sixteen is now up and running as an article; we hope you like how it has turned out! Mahalo, the skomorokh 20:23, 10 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Congratulations, and thank you for bringing this article to the Anarchist Task Force's attention. Although you were not as able to actively participate in its progression as you may have liked, without the initiative you took in creating and promoting it, this article may never have been created. Again, thank you, and I hope you'll continue to work with the Anarchist Task Force in the future. --Cast (talk) 02:29, 11 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

DYK for Manifesto of the Sixteen edit

On 13 November, 2008, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Manifesto of the Sixteen, which you created or substantially expanded. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

Anarchism edit

Hi Potemkin01,

I saw your work on articles related to anarchism and wanted to say hello, as I work in the topic area too. If you haven't already, you might want to watch our noticeboard for Wikipedia's coverage of anarchism, which is a great place to ask questions, collaborate, discuss style/structure precedent, and stay informed about content related to anarchism. Take a look for yourself!

And if you're looking for other juicy places to edit, consider expanding a stub, adopting a cleanup category, or participating in one of our current formal discussions.

Feel free to say hi on my talk page and let me know if these links were helpful (or at least interesting). Hope to see you around. czar 13:32, 9 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Greetings CZAR,
Thank you for reaching out! I've been around on Wikipedia for a long time, but still feel pretty beginner-level with it. I do hope to be able to contribute more going forward. I've added the noticeboard to my watchlist, and will take a look at some stubs to see what I may be able to do. As you saw, I'm trying to get the draft of John P. Clark to a decent level of quality. He's done a lot of writing, theory, and activism, but secondary sourcing seems difficult to come by.
Thanks again for reaching out and providing suggestions and links. I feel pointed in a direction and look forward to continuing to help the Anarchism WikiProject! Potemkin01 (talk) 15:34, 9 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Glad to hear! Clark will be a tricky article to write. I recommend starting with paraphrasing reviews of books he's written and scholarly commentary of his work. I would minimize citation of primary sources (such as his own works) since, as a tertiary source, Wikipedia is meant to summarize the secondary source commentary on his career. Also we generally discourage editing on topics when editors have a conflict of interest to avoid bias. But in the meantime, there are many other articles needing support! And if you have a question on anything, please feel welcome to ask in the anarchism noticeboard or the Teahouse. czar 14:12, 10 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
