Wikiproject Slogan boxes (Explanatory) edit

Slogans Proposed 6-12-2007. Consensus needs to be made, before using these templates too much. Users: please check Main Mythology Wikiproject talk page and help us reach a consensus before we apply them:

Slogan for articles about a named religion & mythology (i.e. Christian mythology) edit

{{Myth box religion}} {{Myth box religion}}

It is proposed that other religons follow these template examples, quoting a respected member of that religion for how myth is viewd to that religion. Goldenrowley 05:52, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sample Mythboxes edit

At bottom of page, horizontal edit

These are ideal for shorter articles; on longer articles the navbox can be viewed only after scrolling down to the end of the article.

Norse myth - Salleman's edit

A right aligned box could interfere with pictures and so on, therefore I propose a centered box at the bottom of the page like the template {{Norse mythology}}. Every mythology could then have an individual color scheme and religious symbol. The general layout of the boxes can of course be discussed.

Roman myth - Bacchiad's edit

See discussion for more info. At right is the {{Roman myth}} template. I've also created a Template:Greek myth (currently unused) and a Template:Greek myth (big) (currently on the Greek Mythology page, unless someone reverts my edit).

At top of page, vertical edit

These are ideal for longer articles; on shorter articles the navbox could add extra blank space.

Greek myth edit

Narrow box for specific articles - Didactohedron's edit

Note colors of sea and the sun for the Greek Isles.

Larger box for general or main article in topic - Bacchiad's edit

All navboxes in Greek myth have the same shade of green for continuity.

Semitic myth - Castanea dentata's edit

Narrow box for specific articles edit

Note sleek desert scheme.

Larger box for general or main article in topic edit

Note sleek desert scheme.
