Need old page version from edit history: When Younkers.jpg was moved to Commons, it was separated into two files on Commons: File:Des Moines Younkers 1.jpg (older) and File:Des Moines Younkers 2.jpg (newer). I suspect that the older File:Des Moines Younkers 1.jpg accidentally got some of the information from the replacement, and should have a different location description that isn't in the upload log but might be in the English Wikipedia edit history. -Closeapple (talk) 04:31, 23 June 2015 (UTC)

We may be willing to restore it again, but only if you provide a definite assurance that you actually intend to work on it and provide a short description of what you intend to do to improve it to meet our policies and guidelines. Why keep the past edits hidden? Now that it has been listed at AfD, it would be very useful if the previous edits could be restored so we can have a full and proper look at the article that is being discussed. Dolovis (talk) 21:03, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
The past edits were already deleted as a result of previous AFDs. Restoring them is equivalent to overriding those AFD decisions. The mere existence of a new version that doesn't address prior concerns doesn't invalidate the prior AFDs, therefore restoration is not possible. The AfD is not decided on the article's contents. Per WP:CONTN: “Notability is a property of a subject and not of a Wikipedia article. If the subject has not been covered outside of Wikipedia, no amount of improvements to the Wikipedia content will suddenly make the subject notable. Conversely, if the source material exists, even very poor writing and referencing within a Wikipedia article will not decrease the subject's notability.” If the AfD succeeds, then all the previous edits will once again be deleted from the user's view, but until then, we should see what has been shown before. Which is pointless as such edits are irrelevant to the present AfD. The only reason they would be relevant is if the article got a declined G4 speedy (which it didn't). This article, which I created some time back, was deleted in December 2014. I failed to notice the AfD as it was going on. The subject was then of dubious notability, but now is unquestionably notable, due to his promotion to Major League Baseball. I think there was more content than what another editor has recreated. It is a wonder why the page I am creating is being deleted every so often. it does not violate any rules and has not been copied from any website or digital place it is presenting our company and will be updated and reorganized gradually over time. but every so often someone comes to delete the page!   •   Not done Fmsco, it looks like you previously requested that the AfC draft get restored back on December 1, 2014. It was restored and no edits were made other than an attempt to remove the speedy tag once it was placed. You also created a version of the article in the mainspace on December 9, about a week after the AfC version was restored. It was deleted as WP:G11 (promotion) and WP:A7 (notability). We cannot restore the mainspace article because it's G11 and A7. I'm going to decline the AfC article as well since that was also promotional in tone. I will e-mail you a copy of the article, but you are not allowed to post this back in the mainspace. You are instead encouraged to create a new, neutral version of the article at WP:AfC and submit that. However I am going to block you for a promotional username, so you will need to either open up a new account (make sure to read over WP:COI and make sure that your affiliation to the company is known) or request an unblock and seek a username change. World Photography Awards

Original article was PROD deleted after 5 days in 2008. I stumbled upon it as I was about to create a redirect under the same title and was wondering if the previous article could be saved or would be useful to be incorporated into the World Photography Organisation article, after all, (S)WPA was very new in 2008, but is an established photography awards meanwhile.   • Oof - that page is very, very unambiguously promotional. It looks like it was tagged as such, but James Walter Clifton removed the tags. James, the problem with the page is that ultimately you appeared to be using it as a WP:SOAPBOX to promote your church and your religion. Listing the statements of belief is seen as promotional and what you need to do is basically write it in a neutral fashion, akin to things like this church's entry. However I do need to point out that the main reason that the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart has an entry is because its building is a historical landmark. You have to show where your specific church has received coverage in independent and reliable sources. I know that in the talk page you said that you stylized this after Lutheran Orthodox Church and Independent Lutheran Diocese, but I note that both pages have issues with tone and sourcing. I've nominated the first for speedy deletion for those issues and it looks like the second one will likely be put up for deletion in some form or fashion as well since I'm also seeing notability and tone issues with that article. The problem with saying that WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS is that the mentioned articles may not necessarily fit within policy either and might need to be deleted as well.   • Since it has now been deleted, this is a   Not done on my part. I'm not against the idea of you making an article, but I will say that I'd prefer that you make this at WP:AfC rather than in the mainspace since that would allow you more time to work on the article and you'd also have an opportunity to have an uninvolved editor look over your work. I will warn you: most churches will not pass notability guidelines since most churches will never gain anything beyond coverage in their local newspapers at best. It's fairly rare for one to stand out since there are hundreds of churches in any given area. Hi Komandhur. Well yes, in a sense. The core issue at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Appium was that it appeared there did not exist sufficient reliable, secondary and independent sources publishing substantive material about the topic, in order to show that the it topic was notable. Its "newness" was not in any way a direct basis for deletion, but only cited as the probable reason those sources did not yet exist.

Anyway, there is no impediment to the article being re-created. However, it must substantially address the basis for deletion by citing the types of sources I mentioned. If it does not, then the article is likely to be quickly deleted under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion as a substantially identical repost of a topic previously deleted on the merits and after discussion. That already occurred once and while it looked a bit different than the prior content, the sourcing was about as poor. Anyway, we do not undelete topics deleted after discussion here, as stated prominently at the top of the page.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 18:42, 29 June 2015 (UTC)

  •   Not done This was pretty unambiguously promotional in many places and it's also partially a WP:COPYVIO from the official website. I don't mind e-mailing you a copy of the article, Ashton Wolf, and I've done just that, but I can't restore this to the draftspace with those issues. You can use the email version I sent you to re-write the article to remove the copyright violation and the promotional tone. It was pretty much the lead paragraphs that were the biggest problem with promotion and copyvio offhand, so those are the ones that need the most attention. (Although on a side note you will also need to source the material in the article as a whole with independent and reliable sources since most of it was not sourced or had WP:PRIMARY sources. I see that there is a draft article at Draft:Arthur Lawrence "Art" Hellyer, Jr. and some information at your userpage, but nothing really elsewhere. I will say that you should probably move the stuff in your userpage to your sandbox though, as the userpage could come across as a WP:NOTWEBHOST issue to an unaware editor. It's not immediately apparent that this is your workspace for the Hellyer draft and as such, kind of unintentionally comes across as a resume at first glance. I'm not trying to be accusatory or anything, just that this happens so much with userspaces that people tend to get a little trigger happy with anything that doesn't look like the typical userpage.   •   Not done Franky Diamond, this was deleted by Deb for WP:G11, Unambiguous advertising or promotion. I took a look and the page really did contain some fairly promotional tones because of phrases like "Another song available on YouTube for your listening pleasure" and "Zara's distinctive voice is captivating and with Charlie's solid support vocals this is a delicious blend." There are some parts of the history that aren't as promotional so you may be able to request that Deb restore those portions. However if it is restored then you will need to add sources to the article since the last non-blatantly promotional version of the page lacked sources to show notability.   • It looks like there was a rash of IP edits that added the promotional content, which might have been the same person that did the Zara Clark article. It's the same writing style from what I can see. I'm not entirely sure what they're trying to accomplish since the edits only made the page worse rather than better. Furthermore, the information you added was not "totally correct an sensible". It was unverifiable, unsourced, and filled with non-neutral peacock terms. In other words, not sensible at all, and completely inappropriate for an encyclopedia. Wikipedia is not to be used for promotion, and that's what you were doing.
