Reboot After Install

We create an application installer using Installshield. When we try to install the latest version onto a Windows Vista PC, the installer produces a warning saying that some files or services couldn't be updated while the system is running, and we will need to reboot. We're fairly sure this isn't true, and the application runs fine without rebooting. The message doesn't appear when we install on a Win7 box. How can I find out what specifically is triggering this message, and can we suppress it? Thanks, Rojomoke (talk) 15:32, 29 July 2013 (UTC)

I can't give an exact cause of this (sorry!), but a bit of digging seems to suggest using REBOOT=REALLYSUPPRESS should do the trick.  drewmunn  talk  17:22, 29 July 2013 (UTC)

Communication via electronics. Well, it's certainly made the world a much more "connected" place. You might find these articles helpful:

• Email
• Internet forum
• Message board
• Social network
• Internet culture
