| The April 2014 meeting will be a small-scale meetup of all interested Wikimedians from the New England area. We will socialize; review regional events from the beginning of the year; look ahead to regional events of 2014; and discuss other events. Background & topics edit
Hello, New England Wikimedians! Hope you can join us on April 19th. Here's a rough agenda for the meetup:
- Meet-and-greet for new and returning members.
- Brief recap of local WP events held in Jan, Feb, March, and April. (Will also include report from the Wikimedia Conference, to which we sent representatives.)
- Members recount any interesting Wiki projects that they, personally, are proud to have worked on recently.
- Brainstorm ideas for spring and summer events. Ex: Potential trip to Cape Cod for a photobombing expedition for Commons (gas refunds?). Also discuss sending folks to WikiConference USA, happening at the end of May (scholarship applications are over).
- Edit-a-thon as part of the Wadewitz Tribute Edit-a-thons that are planned for late May
- Brainstorm ideas for NE Wikimedians swag. (T-shirt, buttons, etc.)
- Group business, if there is any.
NOTE: This meeting is at the *new* Clover at 5 Cambridge Center, in the Kendall Sq. area of Cambridge.
