Visa policy of Ecuador

Most visitors to Ecuador may enter the country without a visa. However, visitors from certain countries must obtain a visa from one of the Ecuadorian diplomatic missions.

Citizens of most countries may stay for up to 90 days without a visa (except citizens of China, who may enter for tourist purposes and stay without a visa for up to 90 days within any year).

All visitors must have a passport valid for at least 6 months, (except citizens of Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay, who may enter Ecuador with an ID card if arriving from a Mercosur member state or associated state).[1]
