Welcome!

edit

Hello, YunZhiWong Chinasong, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you created or edited was Draft:Nicholas Xjie Wong, which appears to be an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians—as this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. Your user page, however, is a great place to write about yourself, making sure to stay within user page guidelines. Just click your user name at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and edit it normally.

The page you created about yourself may well be deleted from the encyclopedia. If it is deleted and you wish to retrieve its contents, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page. If your contributions to an existing article about yourself are undone and you wish to add to it, please propose the changes on its talk page.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! -- Thanks, Alfie. talk to me | contribs 23:26, 16 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Your draft article, Draft:Nicholas Xjie Wong

edit

Hello, YunZhiWong Chinasong. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Nicholas Xjie Wong".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Hhkohh (talk) 09:40, 17 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your recent contributions. Getting started creating new articles on Wikipedia can be tricky, and you might like to try creating a draft of your article in draftspace or in your userspace first, which you can then ask for feedback on if necessary, with less risk of deletion. Do make sure you also read help available to you, including Your First Article and the Tutorial. You might also like to try the Article Wizard, which has an option to create a draft version. Thank you. power~enwiki (π, ν) 20:58, 20 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Ways to improve Hugo Rüter

edit

Hi, I'm Nick Moyes. YunZhiWong Chinasong, thanks for creating Hugo Rüter!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Please cite sources to prove verifiability and to support the facts you've stated. Please rmeove the 'personal information' box - this doesn't match with our style or biographies. Please add some relevant categories to help users find this page.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

user page deleted

edit
Hi, YunZhiWong Chinasong, you'll likely not be pleased about this but I have suppressed a number of edits to your userspace which reveal too much personally identifiable information about yourself. I've done this per policy and for your own protection and safety on-line as you are a self-declared minor. I'm really sorry about that and I know it's annoying, but it's for the best. Please don't re-add it. For some useful information on privacy and safety, take a look at Wikipedia:Guidance for younger editors. Thanks, and sorry for messing about with your pages. -- Katietalk 01:31, 21 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Non-free rationale for File:RueterFaKJ.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:RueterFaKJ.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. (ESkog)(Talk) 22:44, 22 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Please stop

edit

Hi Nicholas, please stop editing the Hugo Rüter article; it's as good as it can be for such an incredibly minor figure in classical music. I don't think creating articles by machine translation like I think you did there is a good idea. Graham87 01:22, 24 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Okay.

Nicholas Wong

edit

I'm not 80 years old right now. I'm 10, and my real name is Nicholas. What's all about this block thing? A block from the backyard?

Confused, Nicholas

You're not mature enough to edit here yet. Please wait until your sixteen years old. Graham87 05:37, 23 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
