Okay, now what the heck happened?

Jushiro, Kaien, and Yumechika and Soifon was all merged into the Shinigami article. I found NO final decision, so the merge was done WITHOUT everyone coming to an agreement. Technically, I'm annoyed at this. I believe Soifon and Jushiro should actually stay as articles, since they've actually done something and they are quite popular characters. Delahunt

I haven't dug to the bottom of it, but Brewcrewer appears to be on a mission, maybe all by himself. You might ask him what it's all about. Delahunt, by the way, is not a disambiguation page, as you claimed in the edit summary. Per WP:MOSDAB, "Pages only listing persons with certain given names or surnames who are not widely known by these parts of their name otherwise are not disambiguation pages". Delahunt is a surname article. The term "disambiguation" within WP has a narrower scope than simply allowing a reader to choose an interesting article from a list. A page listing people named "Steve Adams" is a dab page, but a page listing people with the given name "Steve" or the surname "Adams" is not. Happy editing! Yoruichi

I read the discussion and I notice that what you are stating seems to be Wikipedia:Original research - unless one can prove that the "u" is meant to be pronounced clearly through reliable sources (the author stating that the u is meant to be pronounced as such), what is here is Original research and that is not permitted. The pronunciation could still be interpreted differently, one. Perhaps we could record sound samples and listen to them, and make note of speakers, times, etc. We could say that in the anime characters seem to prounounce the u. But..

Number two is that this could be a consequence of the anime company. Remember that Bleach was originally a manga. Did Tite Kubo make a specific point of having Yoruichi's name pronounced as such? Do any official romanizations (by Kubo, by Shueisha in materials manuals published about the series, or anyone else) actually romanize the name as "Shihouin"?

There are lots of materials and documents out there...

Sometime we should get some scans of the guidebook. I know VIZ uses circumflexes/macrons with Yoruichi's name, so I don't see any alternative. - BTW Tokyopop is known for using strange romanizations such as Toushiro, etc. WhisperToMe (talk) 20:53, 26 December 2007 (UTC)

Please restore what I wrote about Censorship of Gmail on the article about Censorship by Google and what I wrote on Shabak and Talk:Shabak. I'm the source and I put evidence on Talk:Censorship by Google and Talk:Shabak (deleted). Are you related to any government or secret agency and specifically the United States of America or Israel? Wikipedia should be edited by individual people, the evidence I wrote is concrete and should not be deleted. From what you wrote I understand you are a soldier in the army of Israel.

Sorry, I don't understand. I didn't move the page - I just found out today that when it was moved ages ago (on 3 March 2007), that the person who did it did a cut and paste move rather than a proper one. PS - their English website refers to them as Yisrael Beiteinu, Yisrael Beitenu and Israel Beytenu all on the same page. Inclusionist vs. deletionism

Its not that I changed sides. After long consideration, over hours in fact, I have realized what fulfills certain criterea, and what doesn't. I have always prefered to include rather then delete. Deletion is absolutely the last thing I want, but significance of certain things must come first. The example you gave about the three kids who pissed Ichigo off in the first episode barely adds anything to the plot and is not remotely important. They only get Ichigo angry, and the next thing you know, they disappear. What I believe qualifies for the list is Karins' soccer team, and Orihime's classmates. They do appear over several episodes, adding to the plot of that episode and deserve to be kept. As for bigger articles, example being Grimmjow and Szayel, I really do prefer to keep them, but Nnoitra and Ulquiorra? Not that they are stubs, but I doubt any of them with the exception of Grimmjow could get significant coverage or real world information to satisfy WP:FICT. I rather not have another AFD where these articles are on the disadvantage, gets wiped off Wikipedia without being transwiki, and we have to start over.--Hanaichi 09:42, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

Hadag Nahash

The group hates that classification. I know the lead singer, who’s a friend of a friend. He said the group is placed in the hip-hop section because the record company to which it is signed did not know how to classify its sound. It sounds like the Brand New Heavies, not Wu-Tang Clan or A Tribe Called Quest, although it is influenced by hip-hop music. Remember: beats + rhymes = hip-hop. However, I wanted to note that from Lod you note the old Eastern railway line as "unused". This is not so in practice as while that line no longer reaches Hadera from Lod, it does go all the way to Kfar Saba. So I think marking it as 'unused', at least from Lod, is incorrect. Thanks for correcting the map. However, according to your own ledgend, the Lod-Rosh Ha'ayin line should have been drawn in red or purple as it is quite often used by frieght trains and empty passenger trains.

List of Bleach locations

Bleh my internet connection has been very unreliable recently. Although it has been a month since that AFD and discussion, I was under the assumption that most people wanted it to be merged into Bleach settings in the main article. I personally thought that would bring up a lot of clutter, so I suggested to merge it to a new article, List of Bleach locations, but most didn't see it that way here. Most manga and anime series usually have an article like that because usually a single article for a specific place cannot stand alone. Then there is a problem with Karakura Town. Some admin deleted it, based on the number of votes, so all the information is gone there. Now somebody else has merged everything into the Bleach (manga)#setting area, giving the main article too many copyrighted images and it might lose its GA status because of that, plus making everything untidy and cluttered.--Hanaichi 02:14, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

Actually I will like to see a reference that "Arad Visitor Center" is a tourist information centre. I think a google book search will be helpful. I know it is not controversial information, but reference makes an article complete and it looks good. Do you have any book related to tourism which describe this fact. Sorry I didnt see that - I currently have Haifa awaiting a GA review and Tel Aviv recently failed its FAC to give you some idea. The content of Arad is now much better but I think it could do with more referencing. A GAC review will also say the lead needs extending and perhaps the demographics section also. I completely agree - if it were my opinion the page would be referenced enough but I know from having put Tel Aviv and Haifa through GAC and Tel Aviv into FAC that the reviewers want every point to be sourced. I will have a go - in my opinion this is one thing holding back many Israel related articles in general because often it is difficult to find sources, especially in english to reference to the article. Maybe actually it would be an idea to nominate the article for GA now. Remove those tags - see what happens and if neccessary we can always delete the statements. The Haifa GA has been waiting for a month with no review yet so it might be an idea to get it in now and carry on working on it. Let me know (and I'll remove the outstanding tags). I'll nominate for GA now - and in the meanwhile we can continue working on it as before. If we are ultimately going for FA we need to pass through GA anyway so might as well. I think I'd find it very hard to find sources to those articles - Ive really found it hard to source anything which has prevented development of many of the Israeli geography articles in general. Thanks for those links. Ive extracted some information for demographics but think I will struggle with the government and culture sections. For the government section, there needs to be information on the municipality - its makeup, jurisdiction and what it covers (responsibilities), regularity of elections etc. Also basic information on law in the city, and other public services of notability. For the culture section, I think it just needs general expansion with whatever ifnromation is available at that source. If you would do this - itd be fantastic. Thanks. Yediot

The Yediot thing was not intended as a transliteration - the article's name itself is the (albeit bad) transliteration - but rather as a pronounciation guide - kh is used in English to denote the sound of both Het and Khuf as we English speakers cannot really differentiate between them. I made those changes to facilitate discussion, I wouldn't have been so brazen it if it wasn't simply a proposal. I never meant for it all to be permanant. In addition, I'm offended you removed imformation on what the policy will be with he at the end of words, and the transliteration letters to avoid (i.e., q, ts, ...), because since you did a blanket revert (which is fine), you should have responded to the paragraph I wrote at the bottom Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (Hebrew)#Comments regarding guideline when I made those edits to begin with, and in which, as of yet, no "other editors will be more than happy to discuss the issue(s) with you and reach proper consensus," I'm still waiting for that. Restoration of templates

Just wanted to thank you for restoring the original Israel muni infoboxes for those Negev towns. I was doing that before for towns in the Galilee, but just got tired of it. I'll start restoring infoboxes everywhere now. --Al Ameer son (talk) 04:58, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

Just got done with some Center District towns and moved Kafr Qasim to the cities list of the Center District template. Re: Eilat opening panorama...

Actually I got both the idea and the image from Dutch Wikipedia (through Commons, of course) and used it to replace the previous gallery shots - which were not very good. You are probably right, but this to me is a much more attractive and descriptive image of Eilat than a profile of North Beach hotels. realizing your issue is with the image itself, not the formatting, i've formatted the image properly and moved it to the bottom. feel free to move it around, but please leave the current formatting. Actually, I prefer the way I had it at the top, without the formatting, but I appreciate your attention to detail and will retain the formatting when I move it back up. Thanks for the heads up - I was a little unclear. My Hebrew isn't good enough to translate the Hebrew article, so I don't suppose you could have a go at it?

Arad GA Fail

RE: List of cities in Israel

Introduction

I saw your posting at User talk:El C's page today. I'm on a kind of crusade to get rid of anti-Semitism on Wikipedia, mostly by accident. I mostly edit medical and science articles, because I am a physician (and spent several years in the US Navy in the Medical Corps), and I think I accidentally ran into Race and intelligence. There was an editor who thought he could get away with an evil comment about how Nazi's executing Jews was humane (the logic still eludes me, but since I'm missing Uncles and Aunts because of the humane treatment, I might be biased). I see your passion on some of your edits, so you might want to watch some other articles where anti-Semitic behavior is seen--right now there are a couple of racist editors involved with Ku Klux Klan, which is a Neo-Nazi hate group in the US.

However, this isn't the reason I'm writing. I noticed your name, and I had to laugh. I am a big hockey fan, and I share Los Angeles Kings season tickets with an Israeli ex-pat and his wife. We attend many games together, and we even went to watch the Israeli team play in some games in the US a few years ago. My son, who, of course is Jewish, plays hockey and I've tried to convince him to go to Israel and join the team. Then we found out that just about every good Jewish hockey player in the US, Canada, and Russia moves to Israel for the team, and my son isn't that good! Matthieu Schneider came to a friends Bar Mitzvah a few years ago (when he played for the Kings), and he told me the story that he is the answer to a great trivia question: what is the only NHL goal by a Jewish player which was assisted by another Jewish player. It was Schneider passing to Camalleri (both with the Kings at the time) in a game at Carolina. However, it took 100 years for that to happen, so it may not happen for another 100 years.
