Ralph Klein edit

Are you sure that Ralph Klein is a "she"? The name sounds male--MiguelMadeira (talk) 11:36, 27 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Thanks. Good catch. I confused Ralph with Melanie Klein. WikiPeterD (talk) 01:09, 26 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Edits to Relative Velocity edit

Are you certain about your edits to Relative_velocity#Special_Relativity? I think the formulas are wrong. More precisely, the formulas were not properly translated into the notation of the paper. By the way, thanks for including the reference to Fock (1964). It's a valuable on-line resource that I didn't know about.--guyvan52 (talk) 13:27, 5 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

I struck out the first two sentences of the previous post because the equations seem right, after all. I deleted your insertion of ideas pertaining to Special Relativity for reasons I outlined on the talk page. I also have been guilty of being so enthusiastic about my edits that I inserted too much material pointing to my contributions.
One more thing: I presume you got your equations from Fock (1964). If you could give me the page numbers I would

insert them into the article. With complicated equations tiny errors are always possible, and the page numbers in the references help minimize that problem. And now, after initially believing that your contribution was well-intentioned but harmful, and then carefully reevaluating that assessment, I can with all sincerity say: Good edit!.--guyvan52 (talk) 23:53, 5 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
