Capitalization edit

To take one example among many, Sanyo consistently writes its name as SANYO; newspapers, etc., ignore this, and so does Wikipedia.

If Urwerk chooses to write its name as URWERK, that's its privilege. But Wikipedia ignores this. -- Hoary (talk) 14:18, 21 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

image permission underthedial edit

I made an error selecting image licensing with three recently uploaded images: Image:Speake-Marin.jpg, Image:Christophe Claret.jpg and Image:Roger Dubuis.jpg. I have since corrected the licensing from Attribution ShareAlike 3.0 to Attribution 3.0. Would you please confirm if that is OK or if you would like me to take further action. IanS (talk) 14:12, 30 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your message. In future, please leave new messages at the bottom of my talk page.
Both of those licenses are acceptable; what is in question is whether you have the right to release the images under those licenses. You need to link to the source website where it shows that these images are released under the appropriate license, or send/forward a permission email to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org, quoting the image names. Image copyright problem with File:Daniel Roth.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Daniel Roth.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 08:49, 15 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

wikiproject edit

You will probably be interested in joining Wikipedia:WikiProject Watches, in the "members" section. Like other wikiprojects it groups and helps to organize the editors that want to improve the articles on a certain topic. (it's not very active at the moment, so you might want to check the list of members and contact directly one of them). --Enric Naval (talk) 21:15, 21 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Re: Maitres du Temps edit

Took me a while, but I'm taking a look now.

The article uses this source from 2008 for the collaboration with Roger Dubuis. Then it lists a 2007 source for Jean Dunand from the same wabsite (JCKNewswire), but the link goes to the same 2008 source as Dubuis. I tried to search the website for a 2007 press release but I couldn't find any. Please find a link to the source or find some other verifiable source. --Enric Naval (talk) 16:48, 21 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

I finished editing the article and removed the advert tag. --Enric Naval (talk) 17:11, 21 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for August 1 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Urwerk, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Sumerian (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Tone of your contributions edit

Not to be rude or presumptuous, but the content of articles you have written such as Maximilian Büsser is very promotional in nature and sounds like it was paid for. Please be mindful of this and strive for a more neutral tone. -Indy beetle ([[User talk:Indy beetle]) 22:36, 20 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
