@Moneytrees:, I am sorry for not being able to provide the source from where the content was copied. The content of this page was copied & pasted from the website newpakhistorian but was unable to add the link as an evidence of copyright violation or plagiarism issues while tagging as WP:G12 because this website is banned on Wikipedia. But I would make sure to use a URL shortner tool to report such links in the future.

@Simtastic01:, you can easily add categories to articles using WP:HotCat. You can activate it in the following way: Preferences --> Gadgets --> Editing (just check the appropriate box (HotCat) and finally Save. After that you would be able to add categories at the bottom of articles. You can also add manually. For more details please see help:category.

If you think it should not be deleted then please click on the Contest this Speedy Deletion button appearing on the top and state your reasons as to why you think this should not be deleted. I would also advise you to familiarize yourself with Wikipedia's policies such as WP:RS, WP:NFILM and how it works so that you can avoid your articles being tagged in the future.

@John B123: Why would I tag a redirect page for speedy deletion under WP:G12? I was about to nominate the one you just moved to draftspace to be speedy deleted under WP:G12 as the content of the article was copied from [1]. Before I could do so you moved the page already from mainspace and the tool tagged redirect page for deletion instead. I think you should also have checked for any copyright issues before taking your actions.

That's quite weird, I've never had that problem. Are you including a signature in your custom message? MasscomAlight No, the article in question has not been written from a neutral point of view and contains promotional content and peacock terms. Please read WP:NPOV. Wikipedia is not a place for advertising. The sole purpose of it is to create promotional-free articles without being engaged in WP:COI and undisclosed paid editing. Since you have not contributed with neutral point of view, gives impressions of your promotional editing. I have noticed you have previously created an article for a fintech company which raises concerns about your editing behavior. It again sounds so promotional that it might have qualified for WP:G11. The article has also been tagged with a UPE and COI which you have not addressed yet, neither did you respond to the COI warnings on your page. New Page Patrol December Newsletter

Year in review

It has been a productive year for New Page Patrol as we've roughly cut the size of the New Page Patrol queue in half this year. We have been fortunate to have a lot of great work done by Rosguill who was the reviewer of the most pages and redirects this past year. Thanks and credit go to JTtheOG and Onel5969 who join Rosguill in repeating in the top 10 from last year. Thanks to John B123, Hughesdarren, and Mccapra who all got the NPR permission this year and joined the top 10. Also new to the top ten is DannyS712 bot III, programmed by DannyS712 which has helped to dramatically reduce the number of redirects that have needed human patrolling by patrolling certain types of redirects (e.g. for differences in accents) and by also patrolling editors who are on on the redirect whitelist.

Please remember to assume good faith

Hello Uma, thank you for marking the article Priya Anjali Rai for speedy deletion. That was a good thing since it has already been deleted three times. However, it was not necessary to assume bad faith on the part of the editor who created it. Please remember that assuming good faith (WP:AGF) is a fundamental principle on Wikipedia.

As they wrote in reply to your template message at user talk:KyloRen3#December 2020, they created the article in good faith. Indeed, there were a number of needed articles they created at the meetup they linked to, none of them with any connection to a “financial stake”, so the warning template was clearly not appropriate.

AFD is a place where people debate about whether or not an article should be deleted. You could also partake in the discussion by clicking here and put forward your arguments there. Now let me explain to you why i nominated your page for deletion, because the sources are mere mentions and profiles on various platforms which do not amount to establishing notability. In order to meet the general notability guideline, "a topic has to have received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject" and As mentioned above, the news sources you have provided mention the subject in passing and those profiles [5][6] are not considered as independent coverage. This page has been deleted even before due to lack of non trivial coverage. I still can't see any independent sources that discuss the subject directly and in detail. @Umakant bhalerao: Thanks for clearing your point of view on it. I would like to discuss with you that 'Notability' varies everywhere. It completely depends on the perspective of the domain where we are talking about. It's an encyclopedia, not a web magazine where we can add only those who have top 10 or top 100 things we can list only... who have media coverage in large quantity.

In encyclopedia Category to category things change and criteria of notability also change.... for example, a person who won the national-level award, is added by editors in Wikipedia because that awards itself stands for the notability of that person. That person gets only one-day of media coverage. where on the other side artist, celebrities get their notability from media coverage. The same happens in the matter of government officials or bureaucrats. They get their notability because of their position or their contribution ... the only thing is that we have to provide the reference from few reliable sources. (Reliable source does not mean to the quantity of coverage in media only ) That is why I added the Government website as a reference for the information which I have mentioned on the page. Now let's talk about other references... He is a corporate personality and National jury in awards event which is conducting by direct Government of India. That's why I have chosen his page to add to Wikipedia. Also, he has coverages many times on national-level media houses... still, if you have any issues with notability you should use the notability tag instead nominate this page for deletion. I would again insist you kindly withdraw your nomination for deletion.

Anthony Bradbury, yes, because they have added several misleading user boxes on their user page which is not in line with user page policies. For example although they are not an AfC reviewer, they put {User AfC} which reads "this user is a participant in AfC." This was done to trick people into accepting their submissions. They have a long history of sock puppeting and been involved in promoting M.Zaid. The draft they created was blatantly a hoax as all references they inserted were about a different person with a similar name. They have created this article under several titles and they were all deleted as WP:G11 and WP:A7.

I have a question: why did you move Hiroki Aiba to draftspace? The article has existed since 2006 and the subject is notable. Lullabying, Just because an article has existed for years doesn't mean it merits an entry. There are piles of articles that were deleted after a decade also simply because they were not meeting the current notability requirements. I don't know whether or not he is notable as i have not checked online references. The reason i moved this page into draft was because it severely lacks independent references and needs to be edited to conform to Wikipedia's WP:NPOV. Out of three sources cited, the first link is a profile, the second reference is a link to a Japanese Wikipedia page (his Alma mater), and the third one mentions him passing, so none of these are reliable/independent of him and establish notability. It would have been nicer if you did check the online references before doing so or at least brought it up on the talk page before doing so. Lullabying, The article had been tagged for additional sources for over two years and the issue is not resolved yet. I don't think a discussion is needed now. Its one of the core policies of Wikipedia that all articles be written from a neutral point of view and cited to reliable sources. Look at the Career section, its entirely unsourced and the three cited sources are not even reliable. He may be a notable actor and therefore i instead of AfDing it moved to draft so anyone willing to improve the article can do so. I disagree with having it moved to draftspace. While there are issues with sourcing they could be worked on, by putting it in draftspace, the article is at risk of being deleted for inactivity if no one works on it. Thanks for noticing and taking action, Goldsztajn. Just want to clarify one thing here, when i accepted this draft and moved to article space, the image was not there. It was added by the user afterwards, see [11]. Since the article is on my watch-list, i also saw when they had uploaded the image from Twitter claiming it to be their own work and was about to mark that for deletion myself. Skiman514, While its great that you want to add content to the draft about "Survivor Corps", the content you have added is copyrighted from https://www.survivorcorps.com/. If you scroll down to the bottom of the page, there is clearly a copyright notice "All rights reserved" which means you cannot cut and past the content onto Wikipedia unless you have a permission from the copyright holder. You need to reword the section in your own words or have to have a permission from the copyright owner to reuse it on Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia can not accept copyrighted material taken from other websites and such additions will most likely be deleted. I'm writing to address your concern regarding the speedy deletion of Thailand Foundation due to the alleged copy rights violations. First, it is never in my intention at all to plagiarize the statements from the website, but I believe it will best capture the visions of the key persons to directly borrow the texts in their originality, with explicit direct quotation marks, from the official source.

@Adersons: I don't know if you have looked at the copyvio report that i had attached to the page, a huge chuck of the text was lifted directly from www.thailandfoundation.or.th. While you can use the website as a source of information, you are not allowed to copy paste content that are copyrighted onto Wikipedia.

Is there a specific wiki tool that I should use when I do direct quotations?

Pranay Dongre 27, While he has a large fan base on YouTube, it counts for nothing towards notability if reliable source coverage isn't there to support the article. I have witnessed many articles being deleted despite the fact that they had a huge fan following. So, it's not a criteria for inclusion in Wikipedia. Now let's go over the sources you have pointed to one by one. The first article (The Indian Express) is nothing but an announcement of a music video he featured in and doesn't talk about him in depth. I see the Economic Times nowhere in the article. As far as ANI is concerned, it's clearly a PR piece which is neither reliable nor independent. The first two articles are about how many subscribers he has and how much money he makes from YouTube videos. They do not offer indepth coverage needed to meet WP:GNG. While the third link is a press release which i have explained in my earlier comment above is not considered as a reliable source. Hey Hatchens, was just wondering why you marked the article as unreviewed? Its perfectly alright to mark an article as patrolled after listing it at AfD, as its fate will be decided via discussion Wikipedia:New_pages_patrol#Articles_for_deletion_(AfD). Another reason of doing so it to eliminate such articles from NPP. It saves time of other editors and helps in reducing the backlog in some ways. Suryabeej, I would suggest having a look at this as well, which is more important for a singer to satisfy. By the way, i've declined your draft on the grounds of both WP:SINGER and WP:GNG. Being a singer doesn't make him inherently notable. He was just a contestant in a singing show having received some routine coverage for the same and bagged a song after that. As for links you posted above, all coverage is in respect of his participation in that show and do not pass WP:GNG.
