project 15b Bangalore-class destroyer

According to a report posted in listfistdefence, project 15b destroyers is named Visakhapatnam-class not Bangalore class report here . i am not sure if this report is right but livefistfdefence is considered as best Indian defence website but i didnt find any other source to confirm this report. someone tried to add this new info to Bangalore-class destroyer page but was later removed claiming that livefistfdefence is not a credible source which I do not believe. Nicky mathew (talk) 09:57, 15 April 2015 (UTC)

Hi @Nicky mathew: As far as I know livefistdefence.com news is one of the leading and accurate platform for Defense News and usually the first one to update Defense news. The site is run by Shiv Aroor, a leading journalist in Headlines today, and previously worked with Indian Express.. He excels in Defense related news. And I hardly doubt about the reliability of the news website. The news wasn't reported by other sources doesn't mean that this site goes unreliable. And turning down the edit by stating that the source wasn't reliable is absolutely incorrect. I also passed by a similar news in the Facebook page of Tarmak007, a page managed by Anantha Krishnan, who also writes at oneindia.in... The link is here. But, for the sake of consensus, let's wait for more sources to pop up. Until then the page, Project 15B destroyer remain as it is now.. Regards ---†ããrøn95® 11:38, 15 April 2015 (UTC)
I've also replied to the editor who reverted the edit in the Talk page. --†ããrøn95® 12:02, 15 April 2015 (UTC)

I have declined the CSD A7 tag you placed on this article, as the subject is cited to multiple book sources and a file in the National Archives, and is linked from axe murder. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 16:57, 15 April 2015 (UTC)

Hi @Ritchie333:, that's alright! But I'm fascinated a murderer is notable in account of having reliable sources. It triggers me, but can I create an article for a murderer in my area, whose story can backed up by reliable sources? Regards --†ããrøn95® 17:07, 15 April 2015 (UTC)
Anyone can be notable if they meet the sustained level of source coverage. Specifically, this article reminded me of the equally gruesome Mary Ann Britland, though she killed three people. However, I think long term the guidelines in WP:CRIME and WP:BIO1E come into play and it's better to write an article about the event itself (in this case Bow Cinema Murder), and the main thing that stopped from doing a merge / redirect there is I couldn't find enough book sources with that title. In any case, the perpetrator's name would still exist as a redirect, and it's important to remember that "redirect" is a valid outcome from AfD and a speedy means you don't even want that. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 17:24, 15 April 2015 (UTC)
Thank You @Ritchie333:. I'm thinking of placing an Afd there, to move the article to another topic. Can I? Regards --†ããrøn95® 17:38, 15 April 2015 (UTC)... the article is moved!! Bow cinema murder, that's a good name! Thank you @Ritchie333:!!! Appreciate it! --†ããrøn95® 17:40, 15 April 2015 (UTC)
Yup, I think it should be survivable there. You're not really supposed to AfD stuff when you really want a merge / redirect, but requested merges and moves sit for weeks and weeks without comment, while AfDs don't. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 17:47, 15 April 2015 (UTC)

Rollback

Hi Jaaron95. After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Beeblebrox (talk) 21:03, 15 April 2015 (UTC)

Unsolved murder 'rollback' in text on Sunderland, Tyne & Wear

Interested to know your justification for wanting to include the removed paragraph. In the context of the article on a city and its history, what rationale do you use to include a tragic murder? It could be understood in the context of a page entitled: 'Unsolved murders of North East England' but it seems macabre and unjustifiable here. Are there any other examples on provincial English cities or towns (or any others in the world, for that matter) which have a similar entry?212.83.144.225 (talk) 10:56, 16 April 2015 (UTC)

Now I see that this was probably some 'clever' application known as 'Huggle'. Not very clever if it is a substitute for a human being. Or maybe I am a 'vandal'?

Hi @212.83.144.225: thank you for notifying me on my unreasonable revert! I apologize for my mistake! You are absolutely doing a great job! keep up the good work and happy editing! --†ããrøn95® 11:20, 16 April 2015 (UTC)

Thank you for amending that Jaaron95 - maybe I will start editing.....

Basal Reader

Hi Mate, my comments where I removed the article (in the Edit Summary) are as below - did I put them in the wrong place?

Removed entire "Critism" section based on a single 25 year old book stuffed with weasel words. Even if the article is to be kept (and I think it should be deleted), this needs to go.

SourAcidHoldout (talk) 12:41, 18 April 2015 (UTC)

Hi @SourAcidHoldout:, thanks for your contributions here in Wiki. The content you removed from the article Basal reader is required for the article as it is required to meet WP:NPOV. A disputed NPOV is already in place, which means you can either add references to the existing content thus removing the tag or editing the current content thus to make the content meet NPOV, go through WP:PRESERVE... "Weasel words" are not acceptable (in most cases) in Wiki WP:W2W. Remove the content which are simply weasel words and make it a better criticism... Regards --JAaron95 | Talk | Contribs 12:55, 18 April 2015 (UTC)
@Jaaron95:, we're in danger here of creating an Encyclopedia filled with junk just because people won't remove it and it's theoretically possible that it could get rewritten at some point by someone. I think the most appropriate way of dealing with things like this is to remove sections like this, because we always have the history should an expert in the subject with to add some proper, sourced comments. That entire section is no more than someone's biased opinion on something with no sources [technically one source, but that's only one or two sentences of the section, and I believe fails WP:UNDUE. I presume there are some legitimate criticism of these Basal readers, but I believe that including this section makes the article significantly worse, not better. I'll raise a full propose for deletion dicscussion to get some wider community concensus about the overall deletion discussion, independent of the Critism section. SourAcidHoldout (talk) 13:03, 18 April 2015 (UTC)
@SourAcidHoldout:, I think that's not junk... And WP:UNDUE does not mention anything about blanking due to WP:UNDUE. It says you can contribute in making the article meet WP:NPOV. You can also remove contents which have no citation or is just weasel words. But, you are free to place a PROD, using the correct template... Regards --JAaron95 | Talk | Contribs 13:15, 18 April 2015 (UTC)
Per WP:UNDUE If a viewpoint is held by an extremely small (or vastly limited) minority, it does not belong in Wikipedia, regardless of whether it is true or you can prove it, except perhaps in some ancillary article.. The sources show the viewpoint to be held by three people only - Hare, Rabinowitz, & Schieble. I can't actually contribute to the article because I'm not an expert on Basal Readers or education, but I'll raise for deletion now, thanks. There's quite a learning curve to this wiki! :) SourAcidHoldout (talk) 13:20, 18 April 2015 (UTC)
@SourAcidHoldout:, in that case you should prove how that view is an extreme minority.. A book written by three people doesn't mean that it is a minority view, you also say that you are not an expert in the subject, then how come you express the view as a minority? Yep, Wiki is always about learning! Happy editing! Regards --JAaron95 | Talk | Contribs 13:26, 18 April 2015 (UTC)
With [genuine] respect, I find that attitude slightly concerning. The emphasis should be on anyone who adds information to prove that it's required, not the other way round. Currently the only evidence we all have is that there is one book, written by these three people. who may or may not have the required knowledge or expertise to make these critisms. If I added that section to the article, you'd remove it on the grounds that there was no clear controversy or clearly listed criticisms and responses. I'm researching the source now. It's a little tricky because I can't follow the exact reference - it doesn't appear to give a book title or a journal number or anything. I'm not familiar with the intricacies of academic referencing, can you advise on exactly what Hare, Rabinowitz, & Schieble, 1989, cited in Williams & Snipper, 1990 means? Is there an article or a centralised database that I can find the specific article? Regardless, if it's what I think it is (http://www.jstor.org/discover/10.2307/748011?uid=3738032&uid=2&uid=4&sid=21106500829343), it's a single study of less than 300 students. In particular the authors note

The authors suggest that students who have been taught to identify main ideas using only contrived texts such as those found in basal reader skills lessons will have difficulty transferring their main idea skills to naturally occurring texts.

[Emphasis mine]. That's not even a criticism of Basal readers, it's the results of single study and the critism is actually on the use of contrived texts overall, not Basal readers specifically. They might be fantastic but only when used in conjunction with a number of other items. SourAcidHoldout (talk) 13:38, 18 April 2015 (UTC)
@SourAcidHoldout:, you have proved me wrong... I've removed the content which bothered you! Check this link. Thank you for correcting me and sorry for wasting your time. Happy editing   --JAaron95 | Talk | Contribs 13:47, 18 April 2015 (UTC)

Edit on Python(programming language)

Hi Jaaron, my edit on Python was not meant to be regarded as a test edit, as I have done this sort of thing before, but I forgot to add some info about the linked article, so had to do so in a successive edit. I understand how this may have been regarded as a bit of a test, but it was unintentional. I think the link would be quite helpful for other readers, but I don't want to revert without a second opinion. Please redo my edit if you think it's helpful, and thanks for noticing the edit :) Awesomeshreyo (talk) 14:39, 19 April 2015 (UTC)

And if any use, why in the first line? --JAaron95 | Talk | Contribs 14:52, 19 April 2015 (UTC)
@Jaaron95: - sorry about that. It's my antivirus software, it scans pages for viruses before loading them up. I didn't know the link would contain the script, I just copied and pasted directly from my address bar. If I'm honest, I didn't even know it existed until now. Well, we learn every day. This is the raw link: http://python-history.blogspot.co.uk/ Hopefully you can get it to work. Thanks for letting me know, I'll double check before adding links now. @Awesomeshreyo:, who's blog is that?--JAaron95 | Talk | Contribs 15:06, 19 April 2015 (UTC)
@Jaaron95: It's Guido Van Rossum's (creator of Python) blog. That's why I thought it would be good to have on the wiki article.
  Done--JAaron95 | Talk | Contribs 15:27, 19 April 2015 (UTC)

Please make your reasons for reversion clear.

I just noticed that you made a reversion on the fractional reserve banking page. The "reason" you gave was "(Reverted 1 good faith edit by 173.57.7.60 using STiki)".. which is not really a reason at all. The editor 173.57.7.60 is no doubt a newbie making an edit in good faith and you have given him/her no clue as to what they did wrong.

FWIW the money multiplier is a myth and the Bank of England have indeed said as much. Cheers. Reissgo (talk) 17:47, 19 April 2015 (UTC)

Hello @Reissgo: yeah, that might be a myth. But, how the content is portrayed in an encyclopedic article is of prime importance. The data he mentioned wasn't suitable for the topic 'Example of deposit multiplication'. If you think that section should be challenged (as you claim it to be a myth), you should go to the article's talk page, get consensus and remove the content which is a myth. Or else you can add a separate heading mentioning the cons/myths with reliable sources... B, the user added an external link which BTW is a link to WordPress site, which is in violation of point 11 of WP:ELNO#Links normally to be avoided and by my guess the user tried to add a reference, which he did by adding it as an external link... Even if the user added the link as a reference, it'd violate WP:V#Sources that are usually not reliable. The user wants to make strong claim, and so, must add a strong reliable source. And about the edit summary, I use WP:STiki to revert vandalism and revert multiple number of vandalism in one go. Editing each and every edit summary is impossible and there is a default summary in the tool (which every user who use the tool use) which explains what kind of revert I'm making. It'll be either 'good-faith' or 'vandalism'. In this case, I reverted based on good-faith and not as vandalism! But don't forget, I've left a message on the user's talk page immediately after reverting the edit, explaining what mistake he/she did (you probably didn't see that), which I do each and every time I revert an edit! Regards --JAaron95 | Talk | Contribs 18:17, 19 April 2015 (UTC)
You are right, I hadn't seen your comment on his talk page, so I take back my criticism.
I fully agree with your reasons for reverting in the first place.
With regard making edits myself with regard the money multiplier myth... I've been battling to do that for years, but there are editors hell bent on preventing me. Its a looong and sad story :-( Reissgo (talk) 21:07, 19 April 2015 (UTC)

Hi @Bhartendunatyaakademi:, thank you for your contributions here in Wikipedia. Unfortunately the article you created couldn't be accepted because it was poorly sourced. And you didn't know how to add references, that's not a problem, we all learn! The articles which you mentioned are marked for deletion and they will soon be deleted if the references aren't improved. And don't forget, an article should not be copy pasted from any other copyrighted websites, rather you should write it on your own words. I am not free at the moment to help you in the article's creation, but try going to Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation/Help desk (or) to Wikipedia:Help desk/chat (for instant help) where friendly editors will assist you on building up your article.. Also, please try to bring it as a habit of signing your messages on talk pages using ,"~~~~" followed by your message, which will help to identify who sent the message easily. 10:47:35, 20 April 2015 review of submission by Kongwu1993

Hi Jaaron95, would you please give some concrete examples of why the sources won't sustain notability? The wiki page for Prof. Voelpel has been rejected several times due to unreliable sources or non-notable sources. Since last rejection I've deleted most primary sources, provided with Zeit news, local media in Bremen, scholar citations, rankings, etc, as disinterested secondary sources. Is it because the sources are not famous enough? Please give me some concrete suggestions so I can improve and revise. Thanks a lot! :) Kongwu1993 (talk) 10:47, 20 April 2015 (UTC)

Kongwu1993 (talk) 10:47, 20 April 2015 (UTC)

Hi @Kongwu1993:, thank you for your contributions here in Wikipedia. And I see you created an article which was rejected by me, as notability couldn't be established. Those were the only two reliable sources I could find on the article to establish notability. But even in the two sources, the coverage of the subject is trivial. The subject should have a significant coverage. Here, the subject being a professor, is notable if he meets either of the 9 points mentioned in WP:NACADEMICS to establish notability. But I couldn't find a point that well suited the subject.. I really took a lot of time doing research work on the article (as it was really a worked out effort from you after multiple efforts from you), so as to find if I can establish notability, but I failed. I would suggest you to add the coverage by some reliable sources, with the coverage of the subject being significant. Or else, wait for some more time, so that the subject will happen to meet some other point in WP:NACADEMICS. Regards --JAaron95 | Talk | Contribs 11:13, 20 April 2015 (UTC)

The Death Cure

You recently changed one of my edits on the page The Death Cure of the Maze Runner series, I changed the text "Thomas ends up kissing Newt and promises to save him. He runs away with a little smile on his face because he finally admitted his feelings towards the Glue." to (Thomas ends up killing Newt and he runs away with his eyes closed so he doesn't have to see Newt's dead body). The text in quotations is vandalism and gives false information. The text in parenthesis' is accurate and not misleading. I finished the book on Sunday and I guarantee that Thomas does not kiss Newt and run with a smile on his face. I will change the text in quotations again and this is telling you that I am right and the other person is wrong.

Yakob70 (talk) 18:55, 20 April 2015 (UTC)Yakob70

Hi @Yakob70:, do you have any reliable sources for your claim? As what you think is correct cannot be accepted as a proof for the edit you made, original research cannot be accepted in an Encyclopedia. You can have a day, if you don't post a reliable source for your edit in one day, your edit will be reverted again... But beware, if you add that content again even after that without adding any sources, I'm afraid I'd have to report you to the administrators. Hi Jarron95, Please suggest me how to improve the article. I have read the recent published work of the Subject (Neeraj Mehta) through a Wire agency IANS http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/life-style/health-fitness/diet/Top-foods-to-hydrate-body-in-summer/articleshow/46959191.cms

It actually got published on so many websites and news papers through the Wire agency IANS. I have read his regular work with IANS. Do you think putting this will help in resolving the issue. Please AdviseEve099 (talk) 16:03, 21 April 2015 (UTC)

Hi Eve099, thanks for your contribution here in Wikipedia. I can see there is deletion nomination on your article.. I have suggested to keep the article and improve it... It is unlikely that this article will be deleted. But, there is a likely possibility.. Please collect more and more information about the subject and add it to the article in your own words, with reference from reliable sources i.e., place the source (the URL) inside <ref></ref> tag, after the information. Don't ever add promotional content, for eg., add about his personal life, the awards he recieved and don't add about his company/organisation. For how an article should look, try this as an example Narendra Modi. Bring it in this format. The article's starting paragraph (also known as 'lead') should be attractive... --JAaron95 | Talk | Contribs 16:14, 21 April 2015 (UTC)

15:23:31, 23 April 2015 review of submission by Davemartsolf

Hello Jaaron95 - This is not a request for a re-review, but an apologia that the public notability of the artist transpired mostly in the years prior to the development of the Internet. As such, those years did not garner any more solid evidence than non-ISBN'd documents such as art show juror statements and program notes created specifically for that art show. If photographic evidence of those documents would help I can supply those on a web site and add new links to the submission. However, I doubt you will agree.

The requirements of Wiki make it clear that I will need to go out into the real world again and somehow become more notable before resubmitting. Since this may take years, I just wanted to say thank you for reviewing the submission.

David Martsolf 15:23, 23 April 2015 (UTC)

Hi Davemartsolf, the pleasure's all mine! Thanks for your contributions here in Wiki...However, in Wikipedia we consider 'An article about yourself isn't necessarily a good thing'. Although you are free to create an article, please read the above link which might help you.. Leave a message if you want any help.. Regards --JAaron95 | Talk | Contribs 17:48, 23 April 2015 (UTC)
Hi Jaaron95, Not sure how to 'leave a message' so added something here. I understand the 'article about yourself' concept. I do. It is not me so much as it is the art that gets processed through this experiential point in the universe that wants to communicate to the other side of that experience. It can't talk or write at all without my help. It can only show itself as images. So, it is only seeking to be seen because it thinks itself noteworthy. It has managed to gain high rankings in Google search under terms such as "surreal oil" or "surreal oil paintings" or even "surreal watercolors" where it manages to position itself on the first row of Google images, but it is so disturbing in its confrontational nature (I'm guessing) that it cannot get physical shows in our real brick and mortar universe. I wish I could find others that agree it has value, and two of the links I supplied from its last 2012 public appearance did do that. So, if you think there is a way I could use the links in a better way, or rewrite as to not have the focus be me personally, the art would certainly appreciate it and for myself I am happy to stand aside and let the art have all the sunshine. Thanks again for all your kindness, especially as a college student with so many other things on your plate. David Martsolf 19:49, 23 April 2015 (UTC)

Let us see if I am getting this message to you correctly, hopefully. I was adding in the dates then was going to go through and figure out how to add in the citations. The reference I was going off of was from a book called "Book of Mormon Brain Bogglers" by Kevan J. Kennington and has been cross referenced with documents ranging the Book of Mormon to the other religious texts including the Bible for some of my changes. It is also a bit hard to navigate through the how to's in an iPad. Thank you for helping and trying to make sure people aren't messing up Wikipedia.

The more I can learn the better I can help. — Preceding unsigned comment added by LtcdrRazor (talkcontribs) 09:30, 24 April 2015 (UTC)

Hi @LtcdrRazor:, thanks for your contributions here in Wikipedia. Congrats! You got to me perfectly! The things you add must have a reliable source, without which Wiki would be an unreliable Encyclopedia. Thank you for understanding and Good luck for your learning! I've added a welcome note in your talk page which'd help you get around Wiki. Also, Also, please try to bring it as a habit of signing your messages on talk pages using ,"~~~~" followed by your message, which will help to identify who sent the message easily. New Article on sandbox

Hello Jaaron95

Glad to have received your inputs regarding my edits to the Sathya Sai Baba page. Moving on from what was not accepted by Wikipedia back then to now, when I have a new article to be submitted.

This is the Wiki company profile of Bouclair, a leading Canadian retail company. The content is crisp and neutral and you will find it here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Urbashi_Chatterjee/sandbox

I have to include citations and the company logo. I also want this page to come up in Google searches. Also, how do I have the company logo appear on the right side of the page with the year of founding, founder and industry specifics to be shown to quick readers.

Since this is my first serious submission, kindly let me know the next step. I would love it if it is edited and reviewed by you before it goes live. Look forward to your active co-operation with a newbie like me.

Thanks and Regards, Urbashi Chatterjee (talk) 10:48, 24 April 2015 (UTC)UrbashiUrbashi Chatterjee (talk) 10:48, 24 April 2015 (UTC)

Hi @Urbashi Chatterjee:, thanks for leaving me a message.. Even though the article may be written to meet NPOV, high chances are you article won't be accepted! 1, Wikipedia is not a means of promotion, from what you say, I can understand that you want to promote a company, and Wiki is not a place for that! It is an Encyclopedia! B, the article doesn't provide references to reliable sources so as to prove notability! Without notability your article will not be accepted for sure.. I would suggest you wait till the company becomes popular! C, the article seems to be an advertisement and Wiki is not a place for that either. For further help, please post your query in the HELP DESK, dedicated editors will help you out in your Article creation (or) read the page Your first article to give a sense of the do's and don'ts (or) you can go to Wikipedia TeaHouse where friendly editors will guide you all along! Hi @Bhartendunatyaakademi:, you did a great job adding references, but unfortunately the subject (Rajeev Jain) itself has contacted me and some other editors to delete the article about himself. See here. And the discussion about deleting the article is going on here. I can't do anything at this time, please be patient while the discussion is going on (You may also post your comment there!), until the Administrators take a decision on the article. References

Hi,

I'm sorry if i have done something wrong, I thought it would be okay to place direct quotes.

I'm trying to reference the edits however you keep deleting my words and allowing false information on the page, some of these articles are outdated and false however I can not reference articles or definitions whilst you constantly delete the paragraphs. please stop, whilst i place in references and add other information that is more relevant.

For instance why wont you allow me to add : "The Age’s biased article took many of the principles words out of context and tried to form falsified allegations against the principal of the school. Media sensationalized previous students statements and tried to build a repertoire against the principal, however all allegations were found to have little substantial evidence and were unwarranted through later investigation"

But you allow: "here were a number of issues at the school in 2005 including students being told, "Jews were putting poison in the bananas".

I guess Wikipedia is not a place for truth, how can you allow anti-antisemitism as well as Islamaphobia to take place on the same page.

Regards, S — Preceding unsigned comment added by Stevengreggory (talkcontribs) 14:59, 24 April 2015 (UTC)

Hi @Stevengreggory:, I presume you are talking about The Islamic Schools of Victoria.. Before my revert, did you add reference to your defamatory claims in the article? If yes, can you show me in this diff? Yes, Wiki is not a place of truth (read WP:FORUM), rather it's a place of well established facts.... If you want to add something, add it with a reliable source and a proper edit summary of why you added/removed the content. Or else, chances are you'll be reverted and warned as it may retain a look of vandalism. Regards --JAaron95 | Talk | Contribs 15:46, 24 April 2015 (UTC)

I just saw your message regarding the sub-headings on [[1]]. Is there anything else that stood out to you that should be changed to make it less advertorial? Any help would be appreciated as this is my first Wikipedia page!

Error correction help request.

In the metadata section of the image File:F-14B VF-32 with aerial target on cat USS Truman (CVN-75) 2001.JPEG located at https://commons.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:F-14B_VF-32_with_aerial_target_on_cat_USS_Truman_(CVN-75)_2001.JPEG The information in the second paragraph reads "An F-14 Hornet from Fighter Squadron Thirty-Two (VF-32), "Swordsmen"" unfortunately this information is incorrect. It should read F-14B Tomcat as the image shows a F-14 Tomcat and not an F/A-18 Hornet. Worcester for this information are not only myself, an F-14 Aviation Hydraulic and Structural Mechanic Airman (AMSAN) E3 with the F-14 Tomcat squadron VF-143 but also someone who I would consider an expert on the identity of the specific aircraft shown in the image, my wife who worked on that actual specific aircraft while an Avation Electrition Airman (AEAN) E3. That aircraft specifically was the last aircraft and the last F-14 that she ever worked on, this leads her to being intimately familiar with the identity of that specific aircraft (BUNO Number 162916) which was at the time identified as VF-32's aircraft 100 aka "Nuts" just as it is identified in the picture. I would have attempted to correct the information myself but seem unable to locate how to and I am also sure that the correction would be rejected as Wikipedia's Good Faith policy does not actually exist. I also would not modify it as I would not be listing my sources since anyone who looks up F-14 Hornet will easily find that such an aircraft does not exist and that the type of aircraft actually shown is a F-14 Tomcat, more specifically is a F-14B model. In fact if you review elsewhere within that same page, up to and including the title of the image, you will find the image refered to as an F-14B Tomcat. F-14 Tomcat F/A-18 Hornet

Hi @LtcdrRazor:, thanks for your contributions here in Wikipedia.. I've checked that page and changing the metadata seems to be impossible (P.S. I'm not familiar with Wikimedia, as I'm not an active user there). But I would direct you to Commons:Help desk to get help from the experts there... I can see most of your edits are reverted, and that can be disappointing.. I can also see you didn't add references to your additions, that's important in Wikipedia and that's what makes Wiki a reliable source of Information and for a new editor like you, that is absolutely necessary! Because, people who are patrolling pages for possible vandalism mostly target new users(new users are mostly involved in Vandalism).. Take a look here on Wikipedia's policy on Citing sources and here if you have a confusion on using references. And go through the links I've posted on your talk page. Nemea Bank Article

Hi Jaaron95, thank you for reviewing my submission on Nemea Bank. On March 30, I received a similar review from Onel5969 that I should that measures to improve the article's neutrality. I took the following measures to update the article:

1. I removed a section entitled "Nemea Instant Payment" since it had insufficient references to back up the description on the Nemea Bank website, even if written in my own words; 2. I cut down the section entitled "Products and Services" to a minimum list, removing all descriptions to avoid the article sounding like an advert, since Onel5969 had indicated this section was an issue; and 3. I went through the document again and removed adjectives which thread thinly over the line from neutral to non-neutral point of view.

Can you guide me to which areas you think I should improve further?

The feedback I received from you also stated that the article "should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed." I have submitted 20 references, 18 of which are independent, reliable, published sources. Should I remove the 2 references to articles created by Nemea Bank? And do you think I should add more references at this stage?

Thanks again for your guidance on these matters.

David Herrera 1985 (talk) 10:52, 27 April 2015 (UTC)

Hi @David Herrera 1985:, thank you for your contributions here in Wikipedia. The article you wanted to create is about a bank which is notable. Now, it's not about the problem of References and sources, it's only the problem of how you wrote the article. Your article, even now, looks like an advertisement for Nemea Bank. I have already left a comment on your article on what should be done... Try visiting the site I've linked in the comment, or go to Indian Overseas Bank to get a glimpse of how an article related to bank should look like. I'd recommend you remove the words like "the leading", "only bank" and other similar words. And remove the "Product and Services" heading and it's contents, which serves no purpose in an Encyclopedia. And for sure, the article will get accepted after this. If you need further help, go to Wikipedia:Help desk/chat to get instant help.... Regards--JAaron95 | Talk | Contribs 13:56, 27 April 2015 (UTC)

Hi @Kk.arif: thanks for your contributions here in Wikipedia. You have edit warring by continuously reverting back the revert of another editor. You must stop doing that. It's not the problem of you are from that caste or not from that caste. It's the problem of how you edit Wikipedia. You must add a reliable source for the contents you add. And the source should be verifiable and reliable. See Verifiability and Identifying reliable sources. And how to cite a source, take a look here. For more doubts about editing take a look here. Oberlin College reverses ban on Coca-Cola products

Hi~

I really have no idea how to edit Wikipedia, actually. This is really the first time I've tried to do anything so, ah. Sorry?

I'm currently a student at Oberlin College so I can say with full certainty that we really have removed the ban on Coca-Cola products. It was revoked for the Spring 2014 semester. (I said Fall originally but I went back and the email was dated February so.) I can't really cite where I got that information because I think I heard about it through an in college email. I can always go and take a picture of the Coca-Cola fridge in our student union, though.

Edit: Wait, I think I found this? https://oncampus.oberlin.edu/bulletins/2014/02/06/college-lifts-ban-coca-cola-products

Hi @132.162.110.156: Thanks for your interests and contributions in helping improve Wikipedia. Despite the fact that you belong there or you have witnessed them doesn't make your claim worthy enough to be included in Wikipedia, because original researches are not acceptable. Because, the content of Wikipedia must be verifiable! For that purpose, you are requested to add reliable sources to your claims. Check here to find out how to cite your sources. To explore Wiki editing, check here. As, of now you have found the source, you are free to add the link in between <ref></ref> tags followed by your content in the article. In this case, it's a primary source and is Okay for the content you now added. But, generally secondary sources are preferred! I have left a welcome message on your talk page to navigate through Wikipedia, and you may find it helpful... Regards and Happy editing! --JAaron95 | Talk | Contribs 18:56, 27 April 2015 (UTC)

DOB of Nandita

Hi I am Seny. Saw you have edited the DOB of actress Nandita. Where is the reliable source for the details you have entered then. Check her talk page first. She has complained about the person who was continuously changing the DOB. What I have entered is the correct age. If u are giving a wrong DOB then pls provide a reliable source for that — Preceding unsigned comment added by Seny P Arukattu (talkcontribs) 19:51, 28 April 2015 (UTC)

This article is created by a third party. What is the source you have for the fake details entered there. I am her friend. And also is a know Fashion/Celebrity Photographer. Please do not utilize the unawareness of the systems here. This celebrity is facing issues because of wrong DOB mentioned here. Can I ask you what is the reliable source you can provide for the wrong DOB mentioned here..?

Hi @Seny P Arukattu: Thanks for your contributions here in Wikipedia. I did not add/edit any new DOBs/Contents, rather I just reverted your edit which contained no sources whatsoever. The DOB was there at the time of the article creation and it's still there. You have to support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. Wikipedia has a strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate. Please stop re-reverting my revert and try to find a reliable source. If you continue to disrupt, I'm afraid I'll have to report you. No one is taking any advantages of anything, there are certain policies here which as a Patroller of Vandalism I should and will follow. It's not a matter of you being her friend or she being a friend of you, it's just a way to make Wikipedia verifiable. Please co-operate. Regards --JAaron95 | Talk | Contribs 20:18, 28 April 2015 (UTC)
I've blanked the image to maintain the Subject's privacy... --JAaron95 | Talk | Contribs 20:22, 28 April 2015 (UTC)
Hi @Jaaron95: You may be well versed with the writing techniques in Wiki. But I am not. Neither she. She has complained to me as some people keep on editing her details with wrong credentials. If you check the history of editing you can find it. I was not supposed to open my user account in Wiki. I did just to keep that account perfect as she is my friend. And We both are not monitoring the details getting reverted by different people. Please check this link https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Truesideofyou and also the history to understand the wrong edits made in that page. Some details which were there in the creation of page does not mean that those are reliable. The page was created by someone who has no knowledge about this actress. Now I am trying to give the correct details and we are not able to produce the sources for many of the details. But if the page is like this we do not have any problem. We do not need too much of details in the page. Its better to have lesser proper details than having too much of wrong details. And I am not having any wrong intention of reverting your edits. --Seny P Arukattu (talk) 20:37, 28 April 2015 (UTC)
@Seny P Arukattu: You may remove the contentious materials which are source-less, but please provide a proper edit summary or else, chances are you will be reverted again by some other editor. I acknowledge the user's mistakes and I just went through the article and now have that page to my watch list, and I can assure you that no more defamatory/un-sourced contents will be added to that article... But when adding any contents, please provide reliable sources. Regards --JAaron95 | Talk | Contribs 20:47, 28 April 2015 (UTC)
@Seny P Arukattu: I can also see that you gave a legal threat to Truesideofyou (If you do it again I wil have to file a cyber case against you) which is not acceptable in Wikipedia. Don't ever try to threaten someone with litigation, rather than resolving the disputes via Wikipedia dispute resolution. As, Wikipedia's policy on No Legal threats states so, "If you make legal threats or take legal action over a Wikipedia dispute, you may be blocked from editing so that the matter is not exacerbated through other channels. Users who make legal threats will typically be blocked from editing while legal threats are outstanding." So, please be vigilant in this issue...--JAaron95 | Talk | Contribs 20:56, 28 April 2015 (UTC)

@Jaaron95: As I already told you I am not much aware about the policies here. I just logged into make the details accurate. And the details in Wiki has taken almost one full day of mine in reading. And thanks for the reverts done and for sharing the details with me. --Seny P Arukattu (talk) 21:16, 28 April 2015 (UTC)

@Jaaron95: I already showed the valid proof for her DOB. Now someone has edited the DOB again. Please do a permanent solution for this. This is creating a big issue for the artist.
Hi @202.164.152.163: to avoid further confusions, while you add the DOB, add the source (the link of a reliable source) in between <ref></ref> tag. This will prevent users from re-editing the DOB. And try to to bring a habit of signing your posts using ~~~~ which will bring your name and time in talk pages.... Regards --JAaron95 | Talk | Contribs 18:25, 30 April 2015 (UTC)
