I know. edit

Concerning Talk:Orion (constellation), sorry if the sarcasm was not evident enough. This was definitely not the only ridiculous part of my sarcastic comment:

  • 1. Stars don't have surfaces to put flags on, they're giant balls of gas
  • 2. No type of objects can go faster than light speed, so there is no way I have been anywhere near a star other than our sun in 2001
  • 3. Everybody knows plans from the internet are the best way to build stuff that works (<-- sarcasm)
  • 4. If ever a faster-than-light jet is built, it is most definitely going to be built in a garage (<-- sarcasm)
  • 5. Perpetual motion machines cannot work, as you mentioned.
  • 6. It is physically impossible for a telescope to resolve a flag even on the nearest star.
  • 7. There is wind in space, as you mentioned, but this is not the probable reason why the flag was waving on the moon. The most probable explanation is just that any object in vacuum acts like a pendulum, so it just kept moving back and forth even after the astronauts stopped moving it around.
  • 8. Of course no one faked the moon landing, I thought that by adding that part it would be most obvious that I was being sarcastic.

Anyway, what you wrote was definitely right, but I thought it was clear I wasn't serious. Dravick (talk) 17:02, 21 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Image at SpaceX Starship orbital test flight edit

Hello.

I've removed the image of the explosion from SpaceX Starship orbital test flight because it's a potential copyright violation, as you uploaded screenshot of the image to Commons, and claimed SpaceX has apparently licensed under "public domain", but there's no proof of SpaceX has released under such licence. Adding image that is clearly a copyright violation on Commons is also copyright violation on Wikipedia, and may result in being blocked from editing Wikipedia.

If you have any questions, please reply here. Thank you. Stylez995 (talk) 15:06, 20 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
