Please help me, I'm new to wiki... still... I just need to know all the basics and all of that stuff...Michael Houang 17:26, 28 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hi, welcome. Go ahead - be bold! Please check out the links above for the basics, probably start at How to edit a page, after taking a quick look at the Policies and guidelines. Don't worry you will pick things up as you go along - no-one knows everything around here. If there is anything specific just ask. -- zzuuzz (talk) 17:47, 28 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
Hello! umm, could you teach me stuff you know? Michael Houang 03:38, 8 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Tru,Mad,Deep.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Tru,Mad,Deep.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 21:11, 10 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of CTA Goodman Elementary edit

CTA Goodman Elementary, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that CTA Goodman Elementary satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/CTA Goodman Elementary and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of CTA Goodman Elementary during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. — DIEGO talk 07:13, 11 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

October 2007 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. A page you recently created, CTA Goodman Elementary, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for new pages, so it will shortly be removed (if it hasn't been already). Please use the sandbox for any tests you may want to do and please read our introduction page to learn more about contributing. Thank you. Although the article looks nice, it is an elementary school (and those are usually nn)-- and it was already discussed, and the result was delete. Please do not recreate deleted material before talking to an admin. Thanks. Domthedude001 02:35, 19 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

February 2007 edit

Please don't repost it yet again. If you can seriously improve the article, write an improved version in your user space, and ask for deletion review. But if it is like the present one, it will not likely be accepted. Please see WP:ORG and the discussion at WP:SCHOOLS DGG (talk) 18:59, 15 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

What kind of help You need? feydey (talk) 01:46, 1 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

okay, I am going to try here. Well, I joined the newsletter editing thing and what did it mean by 3 posts? Michael Houang (talk) 22:59, 1 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
What it means is that we have been looking for three editors to co-op and contribute together with compiling material for the project newsletter. It means a small enough group to co-op closely and still have room to cope if one is unavailable. The current/prospective issue is to be found as Wikipedia:WikiProject Novels/Outreach/Newsletter January 2008. :: Kevinalewis : (Talk Page)/(Desk) 10:26, 2 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Okay, well, what am I supposed to do?

Okay, Well, again, what am I supposed to do? Please tell me! Michael Houang (talk) 03:43, 5 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Your VandalProof Application edit

Thank you for your interest in VandalProof, Tsyoshi. As you may know, VP is a very powerful program, and in fact the just released 1.3 version has even more power. Because of this we must uphold strict protocols before approving a new applicant. Regretfully, I have chosen to decline your application at this time. The reason for this is that:

Please note it is nothing personal by any means, and we certainly welcome you to apply again soon. Thank again for your interest in VandalProof. βcommand 13:36, 14 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Newsletter edit

Are you still interested in being a "Newsletter editor" for the WP:Novels :: Kevinalewis : (Talk Page)/(Desk) 11:15, 4 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Well, yes, but, I need to know what I need to do! Michael Houang (talk) 23:23, 4 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Basically it is a matter of keeping close to the project being aware of the activity and debates etc and being able to report on them (just like a journalist would) to the membership. Also drawing on the literary and review press for the odd snip bit of information of interest. Coming up with a challenge perhaps. Then editing these things into the the news letter. You could provide these things direct or more "free form" via the "tip-line" mentioned in the top right of each newsletter edition. Does that help. :: Kevinalewis : (Talk Page)/(Desk) 16:28, 7 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
Mmm.... not really... Michael Houang (talk) 00:07, 8 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Calling all active WP:NOVELS members edit

WikiProject Novels Roll Call

WikiProject Novels is currently holding a roll call, which we hope to have annually. Your username is listed on the members list, but we are unsure as to which editors are still active within the project. If you still consider yourself an active WP:Novels editor, please add your name back to the Active Members list. Also feel free to join any of our task forces and take a look at the project's Job Centre to get involved!

Next month we will begin the coordinator election selection process. We hope to have more involvement and input this time around! More news will be forthcoming. Thanks, everyone! María (habla conmigo) 14:03, 9 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
