Draft:WZYQ(FM)

I have a couple concerns with your decline of this draft. While it does need work, your mention in your decline that "this submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article" and "the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia". This is incorrect per WP:NMEDIA and WP:BCASTOUTCOMES. Radio stations are, in fact, notable and the article is suitable for Wikipedia. I will, however, completely agree with you that references are needed. So, I will add those and revamp the article in just a bit...as it is dinner time for me. :) Chicken and Veggie Stirfry, my favorite. - NeutralhomerTalk • 22:29 on August 11, 2020 (UTC) • #WearAMask#BlackLivesMatter

I massively updated the draft, added many sources and moved the whole thing to WZYQ. If you have any questions, give me a holler. - NeutralhomerTalk • 01:08 on August 12, 2020 (UTC) • #WearAMask#BlackLivesMatter
@Neutralhomer: The outcome seems to have been a win for Wikipedia. I don't guarantee to be correct, you know, just to do my best. Like all of us I have been known to make mistakes. The issue is not the making of them, it is whether I learn from them. Thank you for pickkng this draft up and shaking it and making it better. Fiddle Faddle 05:35, 12 August 2020 (UTC)
That's why I let you know so you'd know about it in the future. But it's no worries. :) If you ever see a radio station DRAFT that needs work, just let me know. They are kinda my speciality. They normally take me about 20 minutes to slap a coat of paint on. That one took a little longer due to a page deletion, but it all worked out for everyone. :) Best yet, there's leftover stirfry! - NeutralhomerTalk • 05:44 on August 12, 2020 (UTC) • #WearAMask#BlackLivesMatter
@Neutralhomer: Will do. They are rare at AFC. You might find the AFC review script makes moving drafts like this to main space easier than the 'move without leaving a redirect and construct my own talk page' that you did. Your call. Mmmmm. Cold stir fry. Fiddle Faddle 05:48, 12 August 2020 (UTC)
I wasn't sure of the protocol there regarding the move and leaving a redirect to DRAFT. :) My goof! *TROUT's self* I've tried stirfry cold, just doesn't do it for me. Now Dad, former Navy so he eats anything, he loves stirfry cold. :) - NeutralhomerTalk • 14:18 on August 12, 2020 (UTC) • #WearAMask#BlackLivesMatter
Hahahahhahaah You're allowed to heat it up! It's not so much protocola as labour saving, plus the script also add it to recent successes and a bit more. But I quite like eating trout too, so the preference is all yours. Of course you have to be approved to review, but experineced editors have no probs with being approved. Fiddle Faddle 14:35, 12 August 2020 (UTC)
I know, I was just being lazy one day and decided not to nuke it. Microwaving it for 8 minutes because our microwave sucks won. :) - NeutralhomerTalk • 15:03 on August 12, 2020 (UTC) • #WearAMask#BlackLivesMatter

Thanks for declined submission for Anushka Sen

As you declined the submission. It's ok. But there is no doubt she is notable. Since the page is created by stupid one, looks like he/she didnt know the guidelines of wikipedia. Can you please delete or clear the page. I will write it again with good citation. 420cj (talk) 15:35, 12 August 2020 (UTC)

420cj, Write the new material on the draft that is there, please. I will not be troubling any admin to delete it. The foundation of the draft is present and the history is there. If you can verify notability, great. Please read WP:42. Notability os verified by sources that meet those criteria. Do not submit without good referencing please Fiddle Faddle 15:39, 12 August 2020 (UTC)

Ok But I need to remove some from it. Hope I will make it better. 420cj (talk) 15:41, 12 August 2020 (UTC)

420cj, Good luck. Only resubmit it when you are 100% certain you have it s near correct as it can be Fiddle Faddle 15:42, 12 August 2020 (UTC)

Draft:Anushka Sen

The improvements in this draft which were required have been done now and now it satisfies to be a article and not draft. Now, please move this page from Draft:Anushka Sen to Anushka Sen. FlyIndian14 (talk) 3:56, 7 August 2020 (UTC)

FlyIndian14, If you have submitted it for review then it will be reviewed, but not by me. I try hard not to review a draft more than once. A fresh set of eyes is always better. I'm sure you are keen to see it as an article, but there is no deadline on Wikipedia. PLease continue to improve the draft while you wait. Fiddle Faddle 06:55, 7 August 2020 (UTC)
Timtrent, You said above that you don't review a draft more than once but you again reviewed this draft (this shows your value of words) and again declined it making fun of all those who have done some good work and contributed to improve it. Also, while declining next mention the specific reliable references that you want to make it an article because newspapers like "Times of India","Times Now" etc does not seem reliable to you. I don't understand what problem you are having with this article but if you really want that it should be improved and the person is a notable person (as you said in your decline message), then you can also contribute some improvements instead of declining it every time. I guess you are not just here to decline, decline and decline.FlyIndian14 (talk) 4:13, 12 August 2020 (UTC)
FlyIndian14, Please see multiple discussion on WP:RSN regarding your chosen sources. I need to remind you of WP:AGF. If she is notable the onus is on you to prove it. No-one is preventing you from doing so. Fiddle Faddle 16:16, 12 August 2020 (UTC)
Timtrent, You can also help sometimes in the referencing. FlyIndian14 (talk) 16:22, 12 August 2020 (UTC)
FlyIndian14, I choose not to.
Since you have expressed unhappiness with my review I have asked for other reviewers to look at it and comment. Their opinion will prevail.
The references were so egregiously bad that it was necessary to offer a second review
I realised you have invested time and effort in this draft. Please do not express your disappointment with what appears to me to be a personal attack. You may criticise my work with pleasure, but not me personally. Fiddle Faddle 16:28, 12 August 2020 (UTC)

Draft:Justin Gray

Hi

I'm looking at this draft of Draft:Justin Gray, and I think that the table you put in a comment has sort of broken the article. I'm not great with tables at the best of times and I'm not familiar with that template so I can't manage to fix it. I wondered if you could go back and have a go at correcting it. Pi (Talk to me!) 01:05, 13 August 2020 (UTC)

@Pi: I Promise I checked it when I left it! It's not the first time I've left one in an AFC comment but I wamted to be sure myself. Gremlons!!! Thanks for pinging me. Good catch. Fiddle Faddle 05:46, 13 August 2020 (UTC)
Pi, I suspect the templates I used changed a smidgen between the time I left it and the time you saw it. When I go back today to look at the point in history I left the comment I see it is all messed up. But it was not then. All sorted out now thanks to your intervention Fiddle Faddle 09:30, 13 August 2020 (UTC)

Request on 00:56:54, 14 August 2020 for assistance on AfC submission by Kwbeth

Hello, yes, it is a resubmission of the other article. I could not find my password/login info from the original account and therefore could not access at all nor find a way into my account to see the edits and address the changes (I still don't know what the changes may or may not be). In my view, it was a dead article linked to a dead account, so I created a new account and submitted the same article for review.

Could this article submitted about Rod Melancon from Kwbeth please be reexamined, reviewed and I'll be happy to address any changes or updates that might need to be made in order for it be full published. I appreciate your help, patience and understanding. Thank you Kwbeth (talk) 00:56, 14 August 2020 (UTC)

A request if you have time

Hello again :). Hope you're doing well. I had a small request if you have time. There is a user Leesaaisath on my talk page that is discouraged and thinking about leaving. They received a few dings from users and I nominated an article for deletion. I tried to encourage them, if you have time I thought you might be able to offer a word of encouragement and advice also, in hopes of retaining a potentially good editor with under represented language skills. Again hope your doing well.   // Timothy :: talk  14:51, 15 August 2020 (UTC)

Rami Malik

Hello. The YouTube and Twitter sources used on Rami Malek are published by official sources such as HBO, Screen Actors Guild, GQ and (RED). Per WP:Reliable Sources: official channels of notable organisations may be acceptable as primary sources if their authenticity can be confirmed. Please refrain from tagging the entire article with the unreliable sources warning. If you feel there is a specific source that you are doubtful of being a reliable source, there is a tag (Template:Unreliable source?) for that specifically AND bring the issue onto the talkpage of the article. oncamera 10:53, 16 August 2020 (UTC)

Oncamera, I am never too old to learn. Fiddle Faddle 10:55, 16 August 2020 (UTC)

Unreliable sources

Hello! I saw you tagged my article Ronen Rubinstein for some "unreliable sources". I see YouTube videos (interviews) being used as references for articles that are marked as "good article", so can you please explain why it is tagged as "unreliable sources" in my case?

I'm specifically referring to "good articles" like Rami Malek which has tons of YouTube videos as references, even tweets from a now nonexistent Twitter account, and yet it's listed as a good article. So please explain because I don't understand the logic here or what I can do about it. I'll appreciate your help.

Thank you very much! Aldazuri (talk) 10:23, 16 August 2020 (UTC)

Aldazuri, I left the reason in the edit summary. I don't do drive by tagging. IMDb and Youtube and similar sources may not be used as references. I will have a look at Rami Malek in a moment Fiddle Faddle 10:28, 16 August 2020 (UTC)
Aldazuri, It does suffer from the same problem yes. Thank you for pointing that out. Never ever rely on other articles as precedents, No article may use any other as a precedent here. Fiddle Faddle 10:35, 16 August 2020 (UTC)

Are there any exceptions? Like when I use a video where he says his name as a reference for the pronunciation that I mention in the lead - if I have to delete it then there's no other source for that. Is it okay if it's left without a source? Sorry for stupid questions. Aldazuri (talk) 10:51, 16 August 2020 (UTC)

Aldazuri, PER WP:RS: official Youtube channels of notable organisations may be acceptable as primary sources if their authenticity can be confirmed..
I have just been given this information and am grateful for it. We are always learning Fiddle Faddle 10:54, 16 August 2020 (UTC)

Which means my "unreliable sources" are reliable. I'm going to delete one tweet reference and the imdb if that's a problem but the YouTube videos are from official channels. I don't know what else to do about it. I'm so lost here haha. Thank you anyway. Aldazuri (talk) 11:05, 16 August 2020 (UTC)

AranyaPathak, Thank you for your email. I am always happy to use it help folk initiate conversations with me, but I never use it to respond. I am glad you have taken my offer. What I suggest we do is to be transparent, use your talk page so that others may see your intent (this is a good thing. If in doubt ask Horatius at the Bridge whom I will not link to, but have helped recently).
We will work together gently yet assertively, and I promise to be direct and not beat around the bush. Others who watch also see the value in that.
I saw that you had excised the past form your talk page, and that is no bad thing. Anyone who wants it can find it deep in page history. I will look at the draft you mentioned. As a reviewer I will leave an AFC comment upon it for you.
All I am is wise in the way to survive WIkipedia's challenging areas and allowing folk to enjoy an absorbing hobby. I hope to pass that on to you. The best editors here had difficult starts. Some experienced and long Serving admins get themselves blocked for silly reasons. Wikipedia is, well, odd. Fiddle Faddle 21:27, 16 August 2020 (UTC)

Draft:Robert S. Gailey

Thank you for reviewing Draft:Robert S. Gailey! In your review you mentioned that it was important that the publications referenced are peer reviewed. In this case, all the publications referenced in the article are from peer reviewed journals. Is there a way that authors usually make that distinction clear?

In my latest update I've switched from Google Scholar and Pubmed to Scopus when referencing their cumulative publication and citation metrics, as Scopus is preferred by Wiki since it's less likely to reference non peer reviewed journals.[1]

I've also removed the media appearance as suggested. If there are any other statements in the article you feel may be considered PR, I'd be happy to remove or reword them.

Thank you!

References

Soundingwell (talk) 23:35, 15 August 2020 (UTC)

Soundingwell, I suggest you resubmit it after deploying the correct {{cite}} template on the three bare url references. The "VA/DoD CLINICAL PRACTICE GUIDELINE FOR REHABILITATION OF INDIVIDUALS WITH LOWER LIMB AMPUTATION" one doesn't appear to mention him, though, so it doesn't help verify anything to do with him. Or did I miss something.
It would be hard to accuse this of being PR now Fiddle Faddle 06:47, 16 August 2020 (UTC)
Thank you. I've fixed the bare urls and re-submitted. The document "VA/DoD CLINICAL PRACTICE GUIDELINE..." references the work being discussed, the "Amputee Mobility Predictor" and cites Gailey by name as the author of that work in the "References" section. I felt it was relevant since it shows his work having impact outside academia, which was one of the criteria listed in Wikipedia:Notability_(academics)#Criteria.

Globalwatch123, Almost! But you have made a good start. Please get the number of references for a single fact down to three or fewer, ideally fewer. Hi, thankyou for your prompt response. I'm asking for help because this is my first time at making a Wikipedia entry. I'd like to get some specific advice on how to proceed with the Draft Susan Bulmer Wikipedia entry. Firstly, because I'm related to the subject - she was my mother - I realise that there is a process that I need to go through, but I'm not sure how to do this. I believe that I am an appropriate person to be making this page. I compiled a Bibliography for Susan Bulmer that was published in the 2016 volume of Archaeology in Oceania that commemorated Susan and her work. I believe the publications in this volume meet Wikipedia's reference requirements, being a peer-reviewed academic journal. In the meantime I will remove the references that don't meet Wikipedia's requirements. Thanks for your help. Regards Alice

Redstoneprime, I see why you added them. The paradox is that they devalued the article Fiddle Faddle 20:30, 1 September 2020 (UTC)

So, better to list just a few, then? Or should I keep examples of named animals in the main paragraph(s)? Redstoneprime (talk) 20:31, 1 September 2020 (UTC)

Gig Performer

Hi Timtrent

This is the link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Gig_Performer

I was a bit silent because my family got infected with COVID-19 disease, but I'm still monitoring e-mails. Unfortunately, this draft has been rejected once more, although you and I put some effort to review it together and improve it (for which I'm very, very grateful). I don't know how these few sentences may look like an advertisment, when you also helped me to improve this article, so it hopefully gets the better odds to being accepted.

Can you please take another look and give me suggestions what else to do so it finally gets approved. Thank you very much.

Npudar, I think you will need to ask the reviewer who just declined it why they see it as an advert
Hope you and yours are all through to the other side of COVOD19 and have no ill effects Fiddle Faddle 12:40, 5 September 2020 (UTC)
Timtrent, thanks for your reply. I kindly asked DGG to point out things that might be considered as an advert, since you and I review that draft in detail. Afterwards, he removed his review, so now it's agian "a draft that is waiting for a review". He also told me: "The best thing you can do is find and add another substantial 3rd party source", so I have found a journal from 08/2020 and entered it. It is a reliable 3rd party reference. Thank you for all of your feedback, I hope I somehow will get a chance to return you a favor.

Npudar (talk) 12:06, 7 September 2020 (UTC)

Npudar, Pay favours forwards, never back! Help two other people, either in real life or here, and, when they ask to repay the favour, ask them to pay it forward, too.
Each of us as a reviewer must be able to say why we have said what we have said, and do so in a way the editor requesting a review understands. I'm glad you and they had a useful conversation. DGG is a highly experienced editor. Fiddle Faddle 12:12, 7 September 2020 (UTC)
Timtrent, you are absolutely right. Circles of positive energy must be spread further, like water waves. If every man contributed a little bit, paying favours forward, this world would be a better place. I've found another reference from Nick Batzdorf, he was the editor in chief for Recording Magazine (10 years) and the founder of Virtual Instruments Magazine (sadly now gone). Kind regards,

Draft:Susan_Bulmer photo in infobox

Draft:Susan_Bulmer Hi, thankyou so much for your help. Hopefully this is my last request for assistance. I have uploaded a photo to Wikimedia, but when I insert it into the infobox it doesn't appear. I have looked at the helpinfobox pictures page, but the configuration seems to be different. The photo link is: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Susan_Bulmer_archaeologist_1985.jpg Also, I would appreciate it if you could please take a look at my whole Draft:Susan Bulmer entry and let me know if there are any obvious problems still. WikiSantashines, I see it was released yesterday. I do not tend to re-review drafts. I have a question for you. Have you made the references relevant to its rebased status?
We require references from significant coverage about the topic of the article, and independent of it, and in WP:RS please. See WP:42. Please also see WP:PRIMARY which details the limited permitted usage of primary sources and WP:SELFPUB which has clear limitations on self published sources. Providing sufficient references, ideally one per fact referred to, that meet these tough criteria is likely to make this draft a clear acceptance (0.9 probability). Lack of them or an inability to find them is likely to mean that the topic is not suitable for inclusion, certainly today.
Generally, IMDB (etc) and Youtube (etc) are not considered references Fiddle Faddle 11:14, 12 September 2020 (UTC)

Your Thoughts

Hello, long time no see my friend, can I buy you coffee and pick your brain for a minute ? What do you think of this draft article? It appears borderline notable to me but I just need an extra pair of eyes to give me a feedback before I decline or accept it. What’s your take on this one? Celestina007 18:09, 17 September 2020 (UTC)

Celestina007, I think I would probably accept this on the basis that it has a better than 50% chance of surviving an immediate deletion process. The worst that can happen is that someone AfDs it. There seems a reasonable amount fo press coverage, but I agree that he is borderline.
Latte please, and 🍰 Fiddle Faddle 18:23, 17 September 2020 (UTC)
My thought process as well. It’s really a bad catch 22 scenario but yes, accepting might indeed be the route to follow now. Celestina007 (talk) 19:06, 17 September 2020 (UTC)
Celestina007, I have no compunction about accepting some borderline cases, but I do say why I did on the talk page. Example: Talk:Charles Okpaleke. I do it when I think it will linger unreviewed because it's "too hard" on the basis that the community is likely to be wiser than I am Fiddle Faddle 20:38, 17 September 2020 (UTC)

Good Catch

If the prod on Charles Nwodo Jr. is ever contested I think AFD is the next best option. I have indefinitely added the page to my watch list. I took a look at the very first source used in the article and it appears it was written by a guest editor. Overall I feel the article is a GNG fail. Coupled with what I believe (99%) to be covert UPE, this was a very good catch on your part. Celestina007 (talk) 08:29, 18 September 2020 (UTC)

@Celestina007: It feels to be on the wrong side of the border, doesn't it. There are arguments I've see to allow Nigerian articles leeway, but those are specious. Wikipedia is Wikipedia. With these I often use PROD to spur action. Inaction means non discussion deletion, and no harm in that. Contesting them with no work done goes directly to AfD for me, every time. I use the rationale "Contested PROD. PROD reason was..." and fire and forget. Feel free to AfD if the PROD is contested and I miss it.
I'm unsure about UPE. So far the creating editor feels genuine, but I can always be convinced otherwise. Fiddle Faddle 08:45, 18 September 2020 (UTC)
Ah! My friend, I’ve lived in Nigeria 20+ years trust me I know UPE when I see it. I’m not on MER-C’s level but I try my best, haha. I usually do not use prods because more often than not it gets contested and then id have to AFD it anyway so I prefer directly using AFD that way it is faster & a CSD G4 might come in handy if need be in future. Celestina007 (talk) 08:53, 18 September 2020 (UTC)
Celestina007, I bow to your local wisdom. I remember your location now. I knew I knew it, but had not brought it to mind. I am also assiduous in pursuing UPE. I wait for proof and then strike. I also do not have MER-C's competence in this arena, and I think they have a lot of tools at their disposal, too. But I can smell duck faeces pretty well.
It is a shame that so many articles in both African and the Asian sub-continent are pushed by paid editors. It reinforces the popular view that each geographical area is the source of, well, irregularities.
I use PROD out of both a sense of fair play, and also to seek to avoid AfDs where the alleged team behind the article trues to stack the discussion. However, CSD (eg for Ayuko Babu) is a welcome tool for the very obvious candidates.
I have chosen never to be an admin. I always believe that deletion must be a dual key process, but I know I would be sorely tempted at times to delete many articles on sight. Fiddle Faddle 09:01, 18 September 2020 (UTC)
Eishhh! The CSD A7 you placed on that article actually was created by my friend and a competent Nigerian editor @HandsomeBoy, I’m sure he is going to expand the article sooner than later. As for the Admin thing, imho you should be one, your positive temperament, demeanor, maturity, warm reception is unparalleled. I’m not saying that just because I like you, but because it is true. Celestina007 (talk) 09:54, 18 September 2020 (UTC)
Celestina007, I hope he expands it sooner! It is not suitable as it stands, and I am sure he knows it 🤪
User:Timtrent/Adminship and me explains that I can do more as an ordinary editor than as an admin. I was once persuaded to stand for Arbcom, and think I might have been elected, but a change in personal circumstances meant I had to withdraw because my time availability changed Fiddle Faddle 09:58, 18 September 2020 (UTC)
And gosh, how lovely to receive that accolade. Thank you. I will do my best to deserve it Fiddle Faddle 09:58, 18 September 2020 (UTC)
I just read that and I think generally even in real life you are a modest individual with integrity, you are actually a rare gem. Celestina007 (talk) 14:48, 18 September 2020 (UTC)
Celestina007, I will again accept your compliment with pleasure. May I ask you a favour? The favour is that you seek to emulate all that you find to be good in me in all that you do, and to pay that forward to others with whom you interact, here and in real life.
I also have many faults. Please do not emulate those! Fiddle Faddle 14:53, 18 September 2020 (UTC)

I saw your comment on my draft! Thank you so much for sending me to that article source. Also if you could please mark problematic areas that would be a godsend. Also would marketwatch and YahooFinance articles count as WP 42 sources as they seem independent of his organization.

As for replacement links for interviews that are Secondary and Independent etc. I found the following:

Alexander2357, I have things un my real life tha prevent ny having time to do more than go down to your line "I think these match WP 42 right?". We need three excellent references to seek to protect a draft from a deletion process. Of thise you quoted I can only offer positive options on these:
I dislike each of the because they also contain interviews with Niles, but I think they are sufficient to give the draft a better than 50% chance of surviving an immediate deletion process
Part of my role is to teach you to fish, not to give you fish. I want you to enjoy w=editing here and to get ever better. You've researched strongly, and I hope well. before you get ecstatic may I refer you to this essay, which is one of many here on writing a good article.
After you've read it may I suggest you do the following, probabky in order:
  1. select facts from the references you feel pass WP:42
  2. sort those facts into a storyboard for the draft. Do not find references for the facts you have there already.
  3. rewrite the draft from those facts alone, cited very well indeed
  4. recognise that the end product may be shorter than what you have now, and will definitely be more tightly written
  5. do not be tempted to add fluff nor clutter
Before you resubmit, stand back and work out whether you are happy with it or whether "This'll do"
Allow me to give you an example of some articles which are both very brief and have all the characteristics of being acceptable.
Each is very different, and each is written very tightly using the method above. I created each, and each has been edited to a greater or lesser extent by other editors subsequently. That is what we hope will happen to all articles we create Fiddle Faddle 21:23, 21 September 2020 (UTC)
Thank you Very Much. Will make the changes and remove a lot of the content currently on the page to make it better match these examples. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Alexander2357 (talkcontribs) 22:55, 21 September 2020 (UTC)
Alexander2357, Please do not forget to sign talk page comments with ~~~~ which translates as if by magic into your signature.
What I hope the examples show is how brief an article can be to survive here. Brevity is often fundamental to success. As a creator we want to get the article "there". Others can improve it. What we do not want to do is to create it with bells, whistles and dancing boys and girls. We just want bald, notable facts, cited with WP:42 references Fiddle Faddle 22:08, 21 September 2020 (UTC)

CivilisedBank Draft

Dear Tim

I really appreciate your work and your note on my draft article. I'm working on improving the quality of the References.

I don't agree that this is run of the mill, though. I initially created the page because I did some major work on this [Banks] page, and CivilisedBank is one of a small number of 'holes' that exist in the table there. Delving deeper, though, they appear to be the only challenger bank that voluntarily handed back it's first banking license (before launch). They then reapplied for a new one, changed their name, and launched late last year with a very pared-down offering. It's an intriguing timeline, but that clearly doesn't come across clearly enough, so I'll work on that, too.

Thanks again. Lighteater (talk) 16:46, 23 September 2020 (UTC)

1. There are two book reviews published in the newspapers. The paper cuttings are available. 2. The book has served a great cause in helping cancer patients on how to fight cancer and for their relatives how to handle their lives and patient. 3. It is archived in 8 US libraries which can be accessed by any person reading the article. 4. It has been published twice, once under self-publication and second time by a publisher.

Eagleash, I was just looking at the CV issue independently. I am afraid it has to go. Looks like 100% CV. I think we cannot allow this to stay, even in draft, so will hit CSD on it Fiddle Faddle 11:42, 25 September 2020 (UTC)
OK, They were given the chance to re-write; it's not been long but they've not taken any action at all in that respect, so if you want to CSD it I wouldn't really disagree! Eagleash (talk) 11:45, 25 September 2020 (UTC)
Eagleash, It's one of those things that kind of has to be done, if only to make the point. I looked at deletion and revdel, but the content was 99.5% a CV. CSD is less admin trouble than revdel, too Fiddle Faddle 11:49, 25 September 2020 (UTC)

Keith White

The age question: ref 1 has him at 68 in August 2016; therefore born '47/'48: ref 2 has him at 70 in January 2019 (DoD); therefore born '48/'49. Not certain how reliable ref 2 may be but I shouldn't think it's any worse than most UK local papers... Suggest DoB be amended to '48/'49 using ref 2 which also applies, as it already does (not quite accurately!), to the DoD and age shown as 70. Any views? It seems 1948 is likely to be actual DoB but that may be 'synth'. If we reach a decision this discussion could be copied to the talk page and maybe hidden advice in the i/bx. Eagleash (talk) 11:15, 29 September 2020 (UTC)

Eagleash, I wish my personal knowledge of and friendship with the late Mr White could help here. He seemed not quite to wish his accurate age to be known, though was content to be 'old enough'.
I wrote an obit for him at https://www.dartsailability.org/post/keith-white-died-on-thursday-17th-january-2019-suddenly-at-home and also a report on the 2017 Round the Island race at https://www.dartsailability.org/post/round-the-island-race-2017
None of that is a great deal of help, I'm afraid. I agree with your copying this discussion to the article talk page. Fiddle Faddle 11:21, 29 September 2020 (UTC)

Asking a confirmation having deleting proposal of Draft:Manoj Verma (IPS)?

Sir, Are you want to delete this for consideration of this article as non-notable person, or failed of reference? It doesn't matter. But if you delete this for earlier deleted article comparison and blocking my account on charging this case. Then I apologize for my behavior. I am disappointed of Wikipedia's guidelines. Dibyojyoti RC (talk) 17:04, 30 September 2020 (UTC)

So I failed on my guidelines to create an article for this. Dibyojyoti RC (talk) 17:06, 30 September 2020 (UTC)

Dibyojyoti RC, Why would your account be blocked? All i care about is quality of articles Fiddle Faddle 18:27, 30 September 2020 (UTC)

Then suggest me with explanation about the betterment of this article then I will do the best of my ability to improve it. Just don't consider this as non-notable person Dibyojyoti RC (talk) 18:53, 30 September 2020 (UTC)

Dibyojyoti RC, Thsi is very simple. For a living person we have a high standard of referencing. Every substantive fact you assert, especially one that is susceptible to potential challenge, requires a citation with a reference that is about them, and is independent of them, and is in WP:RS, and is significant coverage. Please also see WP:PRIMARY which details the limited permitted usage of primary sources and WP:SELFPUB which has clear limitations on self published sources. Providing sufficient references, ideally one per fact cited, that meet these tough criteria is likely to make this draft a clear acceptance (0.9 probability). Lack of them or an inability to find them is likely to mean that the person is not suitable for inclusion, certainly today. Fiddle Faddle 18:56, 30 September 2020 (UTC)

Diwashpant816, Facebook may not be used as a reference.
We require references from significant coverage about the topic of the article, and independent of it, and in WP:RS please. See WP:42. Nomiation for deleting Draft:Manoj Kumar Verma problem?

Sir, DO YOU HAVE CHANGED THE NAME OF THE ARTICLE FOR COMPARISION OF EARLIER DELETED ARTICLE? IF YES THEN FINE BUT IT WILL BE A PROBLEM FOR ME TO IMPROVE THIS ARTICLE IF ANYONE NOTICE THE COMMENT AND DELETED AGAIN. I'M CONFUSED SO PLEASE CLARIFY MY DOUBT LEAVE ME A MESSAGE ON MY TALK PAGE. Dibyojyoti RC, Using all capitals is shouting. I have not read your message because of that. If you shout then I cannot hear you Fiddle Faddle 07:04, 1 October 2020 (UTC)

Sir, this caps is my mistske that it's on before that doesn't mean that I will shout on you. Please clarify my doubt so that I can feel free to improve my article. Why you have change the article's name and it may delete my article or not because I will lose my efforts on doing this. Ok. Stay safe and stay happy. Dibyojyoti RC (talk) 10:28, 1 October 2020 (UTC)

Dibyojyoti RC, What you may not realise is that everyone's edits are watched by other editors. All I have done is made it clear to any future reviewer that they must check the previously deleted version if they are going to accept this one.
Since you wrote that and this you already know if the new is substantially different from the old. If it is different, please continue. If it is not please stop. Fiddle Faddle 10:35, 1 October 2020 (UTC)

Ok thank you for explaining me the reason but the risk is very high. Dibyojyoti RC (talk) 11:05, 1 October 2020 (UTC)

Dibyojyoti RC, There is no risk. Either you have written a substantially different article or you have not. Thus there is either zero probability of deletion or a 100% probability of deletion. You are in control of this, no-one else. Fiddle Faddle 11:15, 1 October 2020 (UTC)

Elden Selections

Can you write an article about Elden Selections for me since I have a connection to them? Is there someone that does this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by EldenSelections (talkcontribs) 20:58, 1 October 2020 (UTC)

EldenSelections, You may write a neutral draft yourself. Your corporation has to pass WP:CORP.
We require references from significant coverage about the topic of the article, and independent of it, and in WP:RS please. See WP:42. Please also see WP:PRIMARY which details the limited permitted usage of primary sources and WP:SELFPUB which has clear limitations on self published sources. Providing sufficient references, ideally one per fact referred to, that meet these tough criteria is likely to make any draft a clear acceptance (0.9 probability). Lack of them or an inability to find them is likely to mean that the topic is not suitable for inclusion, certainly today.
Once accepted you must abide by Wikipedia's rules
Having an article in Wikipedia on your business avails you nothing, Often it is a millstone. Anything written about it in reliable sources may be added by any editor. I woudl think very seriously about whether to proceed. It is a two edged sword.

Draft:Sandeep Pandit

Hi,

I have recently submitted an Article with enough independent sources and following notability guidelines. A moderator rejected this by giving this reason: "Not independently notable from the TV show" but I do not agree with this reason. See this article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MasterChef_Australia_(series_11)

Here is the draft: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Sandeep_Pandit

Please review the above draft and help me to publish the Article.

Thank you Saroj k86 (talk) 08:14, 2 October 2020 (UTC)

Saroj k86, Please start by asking Buidhe to explain their reason for rejecting the draft. All reviewers are able to explain their rationales, which is a task that goes with the territory when we volunteer to make a review. We do not contradict other reviewers without understanding their reasons. Doing so would lead to anarchy. Please do this on their talk page. I have not examined it in any detail. Consider reading WP:BLP1E before contacting them. If you can make a convincing policy based argument to them they will doubtless reconsider. Fiddle Faddle 11:32, 2 October 2020 (UTC)

Very important message

Well done sir. I really appreciate your kindness towards your effort in being kind, humble, caring and mistake corrector. I 100% respect you for being just to me and others. If you go through all my activities, you will know who I am on Wikipedia. Whatever I do is often wether it is right or wrong and policies work on any body who go against it.

As a new contributor, I am bound with Making mistakes and whenever I am Corrected I become noted. The reason why I contacted you is that, your friend, Curb Safe Charmer started threatening me. It was yesterday that I created an article and it was nominated for deletion, so he came to me and said that I have hidden plane for the creation of the article and also today I created an article he deleted it without going through the contents and he didn't invite other editors to go through it , because of he did it dileveratly to hurt me and they will prove him wrong, he gave unexperienced reason for the deletion. I am not saying that I want the article to be undone for deletion, because of I have nothing to do with it but the question is that why does he behaves ike that? Why do other experienced editors don't do that to me? Is he my project supervisor? Is that the way of correcting things? Hence, I noticed that he has hidden thing with me, I am really surprised that with his over ten years experience of Wikipedia, he ends up with exchanging words with new user, it is indeed backwardness. Why don't you do that to me? and it doesn't mean that you don't wantch my movement. I honor you by information my situation on Wikipedia. Whoever editor I met with was very kind to me except Curb, he indeed doesn't want my happiness. Finally, I want you to be intermidiary between us and draw a line between us if not he will never be happy again, I am very simple but my hurtness is very dangerous.
