Malayalam language / "Indian" language weirdness

Hi. I notice you're (sort of?) back and reverting a particular POV-pusher out to claim a medieval "Indian language" parallel to Malayalam existed. Inappropriate block of User:Trollup

For crying out loud, when a new user has made perfectly valid contributions to Wikipedia and their username is not a deliberate attempt to provoke or offend, then you give them the benefit of the doubt per Wikipedia:Please do not bite the newcomers. I found your username block totally inappropriate in this situation and I remind you of this previous ArbCom case. --  Netsnipe  ►  16:38, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

What caught my eye first was the word "troll". But I subsequently did a Google search, which told me that the word has several meanings including: "slut", "someone looking for casual sex", "promiscuity", "whore", "a gay fat dumb man", and "a long time troll". Thus the username did not strike as a particularly innocent one. However, I would have gladly unblocked him if I were to see his unblock request.--thunderboltz(TALK) 17:22, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

Nair talk page

There's a lot of caste-war BS going on in that page. I deleted it, but Dayaanjali keeps reverting my changes. Basically there was a lot of mudslinging and other stuff that had nothing to do with the article. I deleted all that information on the pretext that it has no value to the article, or its discussion. --vi5in[talk] 16:03, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

I have reverted the edits as User:Vivin only removed the talk contents partially.

Again,

As you can guess, I am Krishnakumar. Thanks to your work, revealing my real life name is no longer a big deal for me. Some people (including an Arbcom member) have accused me (on your behalf) of stalking you in real life/ causing you real life harassment. It would be nice, if you would explain the circumstances. Need I to tell you that your absolute silence on the matter, while your friends had a field day accusing me of great crimes, smacks of, er... what should I say? You may need to look at this also. I would also expect you to give a briefing on the block of Clt13 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) which you induced with some alleged evidence, neither you nor the blocking admin presented. I am positive that you always knew him/her to be another user unrelated to me. If you are responsive, it might do a world of good, in your case, to give permanent burial to a hatchet that comes popping up every now and then.--59.91.253.72 14:44, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

A permanent burial to a hatchet that comes popping up every now and then? Dear Mr. Krishnakumar, do you know that I experience the after effects of your foolish doings every single day? So quit acting like nothings happened. From the way things are, the fate of two of my practical papers is anybody's guess.
And quit the crap about Mahe River. You are wonderful at twisting the tale at the end. I reverted those edits myself after your comment.(True, the ref wasn't credible, but I challenge you to find the nickname of Fort Kochi (not modern Kochi) as used by the sahibs, from a reliable source.) Your remarks during my RfA were not related to the English Channel at all. You seemed to be bothered with a whole lot of other things, rather.
I never had any intention to reply, but for once you seem to have pulled off an entire paragraph without your trademark sarcasm in it. So I thought I owe you this at least. Please spare my talk page a reply if you have nothing worthwhile to say.--thunderboltz(TALK) 16:23, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

Some problems in Malayalee

I'm having some problems in Malayalee. The article currently states that Nairs had their own form of inheritance (Marumakkathayam) and their own form of warfare. Sociologically and anthropologically I am pretty certain that Nairs have been known to be a martial people (and one of the few) following matrilineality. But Daya Anjali wants to remove that sentence. He says that "other communities also practiced marumakkathayam" and "kalaripayattu". I don't dispute any of that. He seems to object to the explicit reference made to the Nairs. I have cited the relevant texts (even with a quote from Dr. Zacharias Thundy). He claims I am not citing anything and that my edits are "invalid" and that my references are "invalid". What is even more bizarre (and disturbing) is that he claims Malayalam did not originate from Tamil and that there are no solid sources for that! I mean... he is only going against every single linguist, right? I have done my best to AGF and I have patiently tried to explain this to him (even pointed him to the Malayalam and Tamil language pages) but I doubt he as even read them. He is doing his best to stick to his POV. Another question is the Ezhava page. He claims that it is a well maintained page. To be very honest, the page has loads of grammatical and spelling errors and is written in a self-aggrandizing manner. I have been working on it piecemeal to correct the edits and taking out unsourced content. He seems to object to that and is telling me to stay away (for aforementioned claims). Could you please take a look at it? The comments are there on the Malayalee talk page and the Ezhava talk page. --vi5in[talk] 16:16, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

The edits made by this user vivin is totally against policis of wiki guidelines. he is totally biased editor.

219.64.73.177 —Preceding signed but undated comment was added at 17:00, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

I have gone through the history and found the user vivin had added content like this=Some examples are their own form of inheritance (Marumakkathayam), warfare (Kalaripayattu), Gods and Goddesses (Nagas or serpents, and Bhadhrakali), and numerous sub-castes and surnames.as edit summary he added = Um. Yes, it is. Nairs were the only Matriarchial community and the only community that practiced Kalaripayattu UNTIL it was adopted by other communities. you can see this here[1]. All these traditins were also practised by malayali billavas of north malabar. how can vivin claim that is only a Nair custom. After reading the discussion, i also found that usr daya didnt say malayalam didnt originated from tamil or not. he said no valid source to claim like that. whats wrong in that? I think after agitated over these discussion, vivin went and edited/removed many data from ezhava page. it was beatiful wiki artcile. Now vivin has initiated a cast war which should be avoided.Tulu war 17:38, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
To be very honest, the page has loads of grammatical and spelling errors and is written in a self-aggrandizing manner. could you please tell me at least one sentence in ezhava article without any valid reference and in self-aggrandizing manner? cheersDaya Anjali (talk / contribs) 09:16, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

Ezhava

I've been going through this article and cleaning it up. Basically doing copyediting (cleaning up grammar, spelling punctuation) and removing unsousrced content. However Daya Anjali seems to take offense to this (looks like WP:OWN). I've also made a merge proposal for another article (Origin of ezhava caste) that is quite frankly, horribly written, full of spelling and grammatical mistakes, and also a lot of OR, editorialization and commentary. I know you're kinda busy, if you're not able to look at this, do you know who else can? This guy keeps obliquely seems to suggest that I have a caste-based agenda, which is ironic, because they accused me of the same thing in the Nair article. I'm just trying to make sure the articles are balanced and actually look good. --vi5in[talk] 21:06, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

Hello Deepu, I've initiated a merge proposal at Ezhava to merge Origin of ezhava caste into the Ezhava article. Could you please participate in it? I have given my reasons for the merge and I have performed a selective merge. However, I'd like to solicit more input before finishing the merge. --vi5in[talk] 19:47, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Athirdsomeone1.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. South India

Hi Deepu,

I would like to invite your attention in to the discussion happening at Talk:South_India#South_Indian_States. Some users think that Maharashtra and Orissa are also be considered as South Indian states. Some others think the opposite. Your comments on the issue will add value.

I Wish to Dispute Another Editor

Hello Thunderboltz,

Are you the same editor as one who calls himself 'high on a tree'? I follow the pages titled 'Yuz Asaf, Tomb of Jesus, Roza Bal, Jesus, Crucifixion, and Empty Tomb. I update the references and sources to include the recent work of Suzanne Olsson, who lived in India and researched these topics. The editor in question follows me and summarily removes all my edits and contributions regarding this author or this research with the comments that it is "promotion" and not valid contributions. Looking over the other contents on these pages I quickly realize that he has supported and allowed both fictional and travelogue type references to remain on these pages. It's beginning to look as though he cannot remain impartial and fair.

I looked over the Wikipedia advise for disputing the edits and it was suggested that an arbitrator first be used.

Can you be an arbitrator in this? I look forward to your response.

Best regards, R. Tabor. —Preceding unsigned comment added by R.Tabor (talkcontribs) 12:10, 15 December 2007 (UTC)
