Hello

the {{editprotected}} is a template used on the talk pages of protected articles to request edits be made. If, as I think you're doing, you're trying to have the pages protected from editing, you need to make a request at WP:RFPP, however none of those pages require protection--Jac16888 ^Talk 19:58, 17 April 2012 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Thiyyar

The article Thiyyar has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

POV fork of Ezhava, attempting to show information that consensus has deemed unsuitable

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Nomination of Thiyyar for deletion

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Thiyyar is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

If you engage in further inappropriate behavior in this area, you may be placed under sanctions, which can include blocks, a revert limitation, or an article ban. Do you know what a "house of cards" is? Until the issue has been resolved regarding whether the Thiyyar article is worth keeping, there is little reason to change dab pages to point to that rather than Ezhava. After all, if you have actually read around as I suggested then you will know that the consensus has always been that they should indeed point to Ezhava. So, please stop changing them until you have proven that the target article is a valid one. So far, you have not. Thanks. - Sitush (talk) 21:06, 19 April 2012 (UTC)

Don;t worry, I have found it. However, I would be grateful if you could point out where the Thiyyar appear in this list. The numerous spellings of the name do cause problems and my inability to find the community listed there may well be due to that. I think it is item 21. - Sitush (talk) 01:03, 20 April 2012 (UTC)

Hi, when you add the {{edit protected}} template to a talk page, as you did at the following pages: Talk:Thiyyan; Talk:Tiyya; Talk:Theeyar; Talk:Theeyya; Talk:Theeyyar; and Talk:Theeyan, please make sure that you follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Edit requests. In particular, please note that the {{edit protected}} template does not cause a page to become protected (that is a function available only to administrators), nor is it used for requesting that a page be protected (these should be filed according to the instructions at Wikipedia:Requests for page protection). {{Edit protected}} is used to request that an edit should be made to a page which is already protected, and so it must be followed with details of the edit which is to be made. --Redrose64 (talk) 23:17, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
