thank you! edit

That was very kind, but don't feel bad about the links.

The main thing to know is that we at Wikipedia do a very poor job at communicating what things we require for a new article to new editors like yourself. There is no way you can reasonably be expected to intuit all our hundreds of policies and such. The good thing about this is that it lets people get started and get involved, but the bad news is that it sometimes is frustrating for new editors to have their first drafts rejected. And because we get such a flood of new entries, a lot of our communication is often reduced to unfriendly boilerplate.

Just stick with it, and thank you, sincerely, for your work helping to build our encyclopedia. And those folks at the Teahouse above are top-notch.

As far as Luckett goes, the type of sources that tend to work best for actors are any signficant coverage they've received in newspapers and/or magazines. Hope that turns out to be helpful! Best regards, --j⚛e deckertalk 22:24, 18 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for June 11 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Al Burton edit

I have reverted your edits on Charles in Charge and Win Ben Stein's Money. These articles are not about Burton and are not the place to list his credits.

I agree with you that, given his credits, Burton should merit an article, but Wikipedia articles need to be verifiable based on input from reliable third party sources. Because both IMDb and Wikipedia allow users to edit content with little to no editorial oversight, neither source is considered reliable. And because no newspaper or magazine articles can be found about Burton, we have no sources from which to build a valid article. I find this truly surprising, given his credits, but that's how the matter stands. Sorry. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 18:45, 12 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
