I don't mean to come off like some sort of bad guy, but Wikipedia rules state that everything must be verified with a source. You also need to be able to include a reference to that source with the information. There are vandals who would try to include such false information (ever heard of the Chris Benoit Wikipedia controversy? it's proof that people would add such info) and the only way the Wikipedia community can combat them is to hold everyone to this standard. Depending on what this message is, it may not be considered a reliable source since there may be a possibility of forgery. If she has posted it on a website that is confirmed as her official site, or it was posted on a reliable pro-wrestling news site, that would be easily acceptable. Go ask the help desk about if and how you could use the message she sent you. Thanks Cigraphix (talk) 05:54, 6 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for telling me. You should add the post as a reference for the info in the article: see Wikipedia:Citing sources. As for my contributions, I mostly stick to Sonic articles but I also protect and fix up my favorite celebs and wrestlers - but since I don't know much backstage stuff, I don't do as much. "Fan" sites edit

Proof that, as you claim, Homicide187.com and ShawnHernandez.net are really fans sites and that they are lying when they say they are the official websites? Nenog (talk) 20:31, 16 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

If you took the time to examine both sites, you would have seen a disclaimer on the two of them. The one on Homicide's site is on the left hand side towards the bottom and reads "This is the OFFICAL WEBSITE of TNA and indenpent wrestler Homicide. We are affiliated with Homicide but we are in no way affiliated with Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling or any other wrestling company. This site is ran with Homicide's full input and knowledge. All photos credited to TNA Wrestling, ROH Wrestling, or other wise stated. All graphics and screencaptures are credit to Homicide187.com."
The one on Hernandez's site is also on the left hand side towards the bottom and reads "This is the official website of Shawn Hernandez, which is run with his consent, knowledge and input. This is also a site in which no profit is being made. All photos and media are being used under Fair Use Copyright Law 107. Credit is given where due. Credit SHO when using something from this site."
Both sites are the official sites of the respective wrestlers. Homicide even has a link to his from his My Space. Nenog (talk) 22:08, 17 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please read the WP:3RR rule, this edit war you are having is in violation of it. LessThanClippers (talk) 21:57, 18 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Just because a site is run by fans doesn't mean it doesn't have the endorsment of whoever its about. In fact I've confirmed that Homicide's site is highly likely to be official: TNA's official site (http://www.tnawrestling.com/) Community links to TNA's offical MySpace (http://www.myspace.com/tnaimpactcommunity), which lists http://www.myspace.com/demon374 as the wrestler's offical MySpace which has a link to www.homicide187.com. Sorry I don't have time right now to check Hernandez's site. You do have to scrutinize each site to make sure it's not lying though – good job on that. But also be aware of both 3RR, mentioned above by LessThanClippers, and the rule against edit warring, instead discuss it on the article's talk page. Cigraphix (talk) 00:49, 19 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Then why aren't either site on their Wiki pages? Marshallslaw099 (talk) 04:52, 24 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Clarification edit

Whether or not your edits were correct, by removing the info three times, it violates WP:3RR, no matter what your intentions were. It should have been taken to the talk page after the second time to prevent it from occuring. I never accused you of being wrong, I just was trying to alert you of a rule, because violating the 3RR can get you blocked, even if youa re in the right. LessThanClippers (talk) 01:14, 19 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

I didn't mention 3RR to him because he only did it twice, and then posted on the WP:PW page.LessThanClippers (talk) 20:00, 19 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Your recent edits edit

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 03:38, 19 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
