Image source problem with Image:LaMB.jpg edit

Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:LaMB.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 10:01, 1 September 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. J Milburn (talk) 10:01, 1 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Lamb edit

Please note that your use of copyright images without a fair use justification means that they will be deleted. Also note that articles must be neutral, not promotional in tone. I removed the unsourced claims. jimfbleak (talk) 15:15, 1 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

I saw your message above. I'm no expert on fair use, but Image:Titanic poster.jpg should give an idea of what is needed to use copyright material. jimfbleak (talk) 15:22, 1 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Re: Image source problem with Image:LaMB.jpg and Image:LaMB - Jack & Eve.JPG edit

Could you quote the exact phrase in the email that gives you permission for the use of the images? Please note that permission for Wikipedia to use the images is not enough- instead, images must be released under a free license so that they are free for anyone to use or modify, even commercially. Image tagging for Image:LaMB - Jack & Eve.JPG edit

Thanks for uploading Image:LaMB - Jack & Eve.JPG. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Chibi maruko chan.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Chibi maruko chan.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:10, 8 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Animax Asia promo.JPG edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Animax Asia promo.JPG. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 11:06, 12 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of LaMB edit

I have nominated LaMB, an article you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/LaMB. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Proposed deletion of Animax Mobile TV edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Animax Mobile TV, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Animax edit

Let's work on making one really good page instead of creating lots of pages with virtually identical content that look alot like they were created strictly as an attempt at promotion. Animax should include a reasonable section on the "spin-offs" and be sourced to reliable 3rd parties which cover the station in a significant manner. And just adding Animax to articles about shows that may be on the station probably doesn't help in the long run (again it makes it look like you are only here to promote Animax). A little advice edit

AnimeFan, I commend your passion for contributing to Wikipedia in whichever way you can. However, please take time to get acquainted with the policies of Wikipedia established by consensus, especially the What Wikipedia is Not, Neutral point of view, Notability and No Original Research guidelines. I know that it might appear too overwhelming, but with time, you'll come to learn most of it. If you have any doubts, feel free to ask me anytime.

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Proposed deletion of File:Animax asia.jpg edit

The file File:Animax asia.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

orphaned file, no foreseeable use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. File permission problem with File:LaMB.Animax.png edit

Thanks for uploading File:LaMB.Animax.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{permission pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. Here is a list of your uploads. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 12:20, 11 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
