Swati bhatia

edit

Hello, Stardiaries, and thank you for your contributions!

I wanted to let you know it seems an article you worked on, Swati bhatia, is copied from another Wikipedia page, Swati Bhatia. It's fine to do this as long as you provide the following information in the edit summary:

  1. a link to the article you copied from
  2. the date you copied it

You can do this now by editing the page, making any minor edit to the article, and adding the above information into the edit summary.

If you're still not sure how to fix the problem, please leave a message at the help desk. It's possible that I made a mistake, so feel free to remove the tag I placed on the article.

Thanks again for helping build the free encyclopedia! MadmanBot (talk) 09:12, 8 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Your contributed article, Swati bhatia

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Swati bhatia. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Swati Bhatia. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Swati Bhatia – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. VQuakr (talk) 09:19, 8 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Duplicate articles

edit

I've deleted the page. We can't have duplicate articles on Wikipedia. It doesn't matter who wrote them. There's no good reason to have two articles on one person. I'd also like to point you towards WP:OWN, as you used the term "I am the owner" which contesting the deletion. Nobody owns a page on Wikipedia. The second you push the submit button it becomes the property of Wikipedia and the world. Once that's done you don't really have any control over whether a page is kept or any additions or removal of information from the page. I don't mean that to sound rude, just that saying that you own the page is not a reason to keep the page and you can't control what is or isn't done with the entries from that point on. Of course you should revert any vandalism or obviously incorrect information, but this was a valid deletion in this particular instance. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 09:31, 8 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Swati Bhatia, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. VQuakr (talk) 18:56, 8 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Teahouse talkback: you've got messages!

Hello, Stardiaries. Your question has been answered at the Teahouse Q&A board. Feel free to reply there!
Please note that all old questions are archived after 2-3 days of inactivity. Message added by Anon126 (talk - contribs) 20:16, 9 February 2014 (UTC). (You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{teahouse talkback}} template).Reply

Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living persons, as you did to Swati Bhatia. Thank you. VQuakr (talk) 04:02, 27 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Please do not write or add to an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you.   Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be engaged in an edit war with one or more editors according to your reverts at Swati Bhatia. Although repeatedly reverting or undoing another editor's contributions may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, and often creates animosity between editors. Instead of edit warring, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. While edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, breaking the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Thank you. VQuakr (talk) 17:40, 28 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Please stop. Continuing to remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Swati Bhatia, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, may be considered disruptive editing.   This is your last warning. The next time you remove an Articles for deletion notice or a comment from an AfD discussion, as you did at Swati Bhatia, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. VQuakr (talk) 04:19, 6 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

@Swati Bhatia: hi i am very new on wiki and cant understand the changes u guys are continously making on my article, the person i am writing about is an know personality and with her i want to start writing about more people, plz help me in my first articl and guide me with the simplest language as u can. i have got the ref too then why everytime the main content is been deleted from my page. plz help VQuakr (talk) 09:59, 6 MARCH 2014 (UTC)
I got your message. The first thing you should do is go to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Swati Bhatia and post the best two or three sources you have to show the subject is notable. None you have provided so far meet the requirements for a reliable source. VQuakr (talk) 04:40, 6 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
@Swati Bhatia: so glad to c ur msg, i m very scared to edit any thing, i have the recent reference of the website showing her public notibality (chief guest of the event) how to add that ref in the reflist, is there any way that i give my article to u and u make it a page? i m so scared that i cant even tell u, i hv a list of people who are not included in wiki and i want to make them notice more. plz help VQuakr (talk) 10.20, 6 MARCH 2014 (UTC)
If you want to post it here I can make the edit at the deletion discussion. Unfortunately, nothing you have presented so far is reliable enough to show that the subject is notable, so I think it is likely that this article will eventually be deleted. VQuakr (talk) 05:02, 6 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
Also you do not need to be scared to edit! You are invited to be bold and it is ok to make mistakes. Just please if someone changes or reverts your work, try to ask questions on the talk page an understand why instead of just changing it back again (that is called edit warring). VQuakr (talk) 05:04, 6 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

No source you have provided approaches the level of reliability and detailed coverage that is required for biographies as described at WP:BASIC. VQuakr (talk) 01:06, 7 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

You can just reply here since I am watching your talk page. Click "edit" next to the section header, then use the same format that I am using here. Attending an event at a school, even as the head guest, is nowhere close to important enough to imply that a person is notable enough to warrant an article. VQuakr (talk) 08:55, 7 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
@Stardiaries:@ hey thanks, this is quite easy way to contact you. well its not only the event, Swati Bhatia is a well known personality.. She is a presenter of few renowned television shows and is an Anchor & Actress who is working in various top television channels of India in the top prime time serials. and i have all her working stuff in the form of video present in youtube (uploaded by the channels itself or other who are active doing that).. Chief Guest is the one of the event i can think of..now tell me what and how to go ahead..also currently she is the Anchor of the Indian Parliament Channel (Top channel of India) doing very good talk shows.. if u personally want to c i can send u the links may be we can take out the way.. do i need to write the following line same as urs or edit it with my name? stardiaries (talk) 19:33, 7 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
@Stardiaries: hi i have got more reliabel print material on Swati bhatia.. i have used it on reference tab.. now kindly remove the poor ref and deletion warnig from my article.. please..:-) stardiaries (talk) 22:04, 7 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
None of those look like reliable sources to me, but maybe others at the deletion discussion will disagree. In any case, those discussions usually last a week and it will be closed by someone not involved in the discussion (so not me). VQuakr (talk) 05:20, 8 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
@Stardiaries: its confusing,, i cant understand this line.. dont u hv the rite to remove the warning from my article? do again i have to speak or get involve in the talk room? who is the authentic person i have to reply with my points? talk 10:58, 8 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
Everyone, since deletion is a community decision. Just wait for the discussion to be closed, which will probably be a few days. VQuakr (talk) 06:49, 8 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

@Stardiaries: ok thanks
