Just letting you know that 'nonsense' does not cover articles in a foriegn language. J Milburn (talk) 12:00, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

The full criteria is "Patent nonsense and gibberish, an unsalvageably incoherent page with no meaningful content. This does not include: poor writing, partisan screeds, obscene remarks, vandalism, fictional material, material not in English, badly translated material, implausible theories, or hoaxes of any sort; some of these, however, may be deleted as vandalism in blatant cases." It does mention material in foriegn languages, but says that it is not covered. Thanks, feel free to message me if I can be of any help. J Milburn (talk) 12:07, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of User:Smsarmad/Userboxes/User AOEII

A tag has been placed on User:Smsarmad/Userboxes/User AOEII requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it contains a gallery in the userspace which consist chiefly of fair use or non-free images.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding hangon to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. UzEE!! 04:25, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

I removed the image, rather than deleting the page. WP:CSD#U3 was not appropriate here. - auburnpilot talk 05:04, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

Constructive contributions are appreciated and strongly encouraged, but your recent edit to the userpage of another user may be considered vandalism. Specifically, your edit to User:UzEE may be offensive or unwelcome. If you are the user, please log in under that account and proceed to make the changes. Please use the sandbox for any tests you may want to do. Take a look at our introduction page to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Thank you. I normally AGF when an established user edits my userpage. But since you have a history of vandalizing on it, I am warning you. I ignored it in the past but this has got to stop. UzEE!! 20:17, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from User:UzEE. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Please you are a good editor. If you donot stop, I may have to report you. UzEE!! 20:44, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Image:Telenor SIM2.jpg

A tag has been placed on Image:Telenor SIM2.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

The reverts you made at User:UzEE and the subsequent report at WP:AIV was unnecessary. Please try communicating, in a civil manner, with the user. - Rjd0060 (talk) 21:18, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your comments, which you added in discussion at Risalpur Airbase. The links that I am adding are only for one web site and it is a non profit web site which collects articles and facts about Pakistan Army and it's intervention in country's civil machinery and politics. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Risalpur Runway.JPG

Thanks for uploading Image:Risalpur Runway.JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 04:58, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

RE: List of Victoria Cross recipients by nationality

I have removed the British Raj link from the list because it did not link to a separate list of recipients. The idea behind those headings is that they link to what are effectively subpages, they expand with the list of those recipients from a specific country with a large number of recipients. I didn't understand what you were trying to do. I think I do now. Do you want the link to Indian to link to British Raj? I can do that. Woody (talk) 12:10, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Joint Service Flag Pakistan.gif)

Thanks for uploading Image:Joint Service Flag Pakistan.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:25, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Image:Joint Service Flag Pakistan.gif

A tag has been placed on Image:Joint Service Flag Pakistan.gif requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

Rollback

You have been granted with the rollback permission on the basis of your recent effort on dealing with vandalism. The rollback is a revert tool which can lessen the strains that normal javascripts such as twinkle put on the Wikipedia servers. You will find that you will revert faster through the rollback than through the normal reversion tools such as javascripts and the undo feature, because the rollback feature does not require fetching the data from the page history and then sending article data back to the Wikipedia server as the javascript requires, therefore you could save time especially when reverting very large articles such as the George W. Bush page. To use it, simply click the link which should look like [rollback] (which should appear unbolded if you have twinkle installed) on the lastest diff page. The rollback link will also appear on the history page beside the edit summary of the lastest edit. For more information, you may refer to this page, alternatively, you may also find this tutorial on rollback helpful.Yamamoto Ichiro 会話 19:32, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

I have been following your work on the Pak army articles. I have been active as well and as user: Sparten have created articles on it (XI Corps Pakistan, 7th and 11th Infantry Divs). Your article on the piffers was very good. I think we can get togther and create more articles. I can pretty much rite the historys of all PA corps, divisions and armies. You have a greater knowledge of wikipeida (such as how to upload pics, create unit boxs, links etc). I think we could do well there.

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Benazir Bhutto. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. ScarianCall me Pat 14:09, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

You are Vandalizing

You are vandalizing by reverting my edits. It is you who started reverting. After I had pointed out to you at least twice that I have place sound reasons for my edits, then you have placed a remark in the discussion. Well, I am ready to DISCUSS. But you appear biased because of you ethnic affiliation. If there is a complete section on the Possible deal with the President, then what is the need of the phrase in the first place?

Aursani (talk) 14:20, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for violating the three-revert rule . Please be more careful to discuss controversial changes or seek dispute resolution rather than engaging in an edit war. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text your reason here below. ScarianCall me Pat 14:20, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

I apologize for violating 3RR but i really did it by mistake, i was just thinking of reverting my last edit. --SMS Talk 14:26, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

Decline reason:

Sorry, but you openly admit that you broke the 3RR. Whether it was a mistake or not, this is unacceptable, especially considering you were using automated reverts using twinkle to do this - but see below for more on that. — Ryan Postlethwaite 14:34, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the unblock template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Detwinkled

For using twinkle to automatically revert in an edit war[1][2], I've removed it from your monobook for three weeks. After this period, you are free to readd it, but please use it more constructively. Ryan Postlethwaite 14:37, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

Others??Sorry! Keeper i couldn't get you. Besides that I don't think that there is any need for street addresses, as mentioned by User:Kingturtle, and this article Sargodha also lists street addresses, so does it seem encyclopedic to anyone? --SMS Talk 16:36, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

and now my reply

Sorry, Smsarmad, I didn't mean to be confusing. I was meaning, do you know of any other articles that contain phone numbers? If so, you have every right as a good editor to remove them. If the phone number is on a corporate or company article, it is viewed as advertising and violates our relevant guideline. As for street addresses, that conversation is still happening and seems undecided at the moment. Because they are two separate issues, I've moved this section to your talkpage, I hope that is acceptable. So, if you ever see phone numbers on an article, you can remove them, or let me know, and I'll do it! Thanks for your contributions, Keeper | 76 | Disclaimer 19:10, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
