Monty Python's Contractual Obligation Album edit

Hi, I was wondering what your original source was for the excellently detailed writing credits on this page? I am a writer and would love to be able to pin it down and investigate this line of enquiry more. Thanks! ~CrozBee, 00:43, 14 August 2014 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.0.105.29 (talk)

Articles about bands that do not assert the importance or significance of the band edit

Articles about bands that do not assert the importance or significance of the band, such as Entropy (US Band) can be deleted at any time per the speedy deletion criteria. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag. Information on how to contest the deletion is provided in the tag. --Darth Deskana (Darth Talk) 22:06, 13 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Also, deleting IfD notices from your user talk page only deletes the notices, not the request for deletion. You've basically just removed your only method of ensuring the image isn't deleted. --Darth Deskana (Darth Talk) 22:08, 13 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Chipmunk Punk edit

The proper place to note what tracks were on Chipmunk Punk is in the Chipmunk Punk article, with perhaps a brief mention in each song's article. Adding infoboxes (Also, I don't know that there is a way to protect infoboxes without protecting the whole article.) —tregoweth (talk) 01:19, 1 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Chipmunk Adventure edit

Even if the soundtrack utilizes punk/new wave the movie is still not about, or culturally related to, the punk movement. Wich is what the List of punk movies is about.

Laugh.com does have its own record label edit

Laugh.com does have their own record label.

Laugh.com is an online comedy record store. Their primary business is liscensing and selling CDs that are reissued on the Laugh.com record label.

How their record label works is like this:

  • An artist or group has an album that was recorded sometime in the past and has gone out of print.
  • Laugh.com locates the owner of the copyright and master tapes for that album and buys a liscense to reissue that album from them.
  • Laugh.com then reissues that album on the Laugh.com record label.

This is similar to how Mobile Fidelity also releases materials on their record label. Will1410 01:57, 4 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Chipmunk Punk on CD edit

Do you know if Chipmunk Punk is available on CD from anywhere other than the Chipmunks website? That might be worth noting in the article. (Also, I'll probably have to break down and order a copy, and relive a bit of my childhood... :) ) —tregoweth (talk) 18:26, 7 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Death penalty userbox edit

Hi. Firstly, the remark that you were complaining about was made by an anonymous vandal, not by myself. Secondly, I was not the original creator of that userbox, and had been merely archiving it. (Sugar Bear (talk) 01:38, 12 January 2009 (UTC))Reply

AfD nomination of Shirley, Squirrely and Melvin: LIVE edit

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Shirley, Squirrely and Melvin: LIVE. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Shirley, Squirrely and Melvin: LIVE. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:18, 30 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

An article you created maybe deleted soon: Tools which can help you edit

I hope the information below helps. I added a rescue tag and !voted keep on this article.

The article you created: Shirley, Squirrely and Melvin: LIVE may be deleted from Wikipedia.

There is an ongoing debate about whether the article you created should be deleted here:

The faster you respond on this page, the better chance the article you created can be saved.

Finding sources which mention the topic of the article you created is the very best way to avoid an article being deleted {{Findsources3}}:

Find sources for Shirley, Squirrely and Melvin: LIVE: google news recent, google news old, google books, google scholar, NYT recent, NYT old, a9, msbooks, msacademic ...You can then cite these results in the Article for deletion discussion.

Also, there are several tools and helpful editors on Wikipedia who can help you:

1. List the page on Article Rescue Squadron. You can get help listing your page on the Article Rescue Squadron talk page.
2. At any time, you can ask any administrator to move your article to a special page. (Called userfication)

3. You can request a mentor to help you: Wikipedia:Adopt-a-User. But don't wait for a mentor to respond to you before responding on the article for deletion page.
4. When trying to delete a page, veteran editors love to use a lot of rule acronyms. These acronyms don't need to intimidate you. Here is a list of acronyms you can use yourself: Deletion debate acronyms, which will help you argue that the article should be kept.

If the page you created is deleted, you also have many options available. Good luck! Ikip (talk) 21:39, 7 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Article Rescue Squadron invite edit

I wish I would have known about the Squadron years ago. It took me 3 years to find them. I had so many articles deleted before then.

There are some people who are rather unhelpful, whose major purpose on wikipedia is deleting other editor's contriubtions, and who tend to WP:bite new editors. Unfortunatly they are the face of wikipedia that many new editors first see. But the editors on Article Rescue Squadron are different. Ikip (talk) 21:42, 7 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Sk'py Skwrrrl. You have been invited to join the Article Rescue Squadron, a collaborative effort to rescue articles from deletion if they can be improved through regular editing. Articles for deletion nomination of Shirley, Squirrely and Melvin: LIVE edit

I have nominated Shirley, Squirrely and Melvin: LIVE, an article that you created, for deletion. Articles for deletion notice edit

Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages, as you did with Shirley, Squirrely and Melvin: LIVE. Thank you. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 04:12, 2 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:SSM cover.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:SSM cover.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. J Milburn (talk) 14:26, 6 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Little Alvin and the Mini-Munks edit

Could you clarify what your source is for the claim that Rick Wright contributed uncredited lyrics to the Little Alvin and the Mini-Munks soundtrack CD? It'd also be helpful if you know anything about the alleged Chipmunks cover of his song "Remember A Day" -- any truth to that? Thanks! Alvin Chipmunk edit

Please discuss at Talk:Alvin Chipmunk (cartoon character), preferably before taking any more unilateral action. Andrewa (talk) 23:17, 23 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

In fact, please discuss your proposals before making any more unilateral moves to any pages at all. Your latest moves [2] [3] seem to achieve nothing other than each creating a double redirect. Neither was necessary to make way for a DAB page even had one been needed, and there's no need for a DAB anyway. Andrewa (talk) 11:17, 24 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

There is if anyone other than Ross Bagdasarian, Jr., such as Justin Long, voices Alvin in the movies in spite of Ross Jr.'s ongoing recording career. Same for Steve Vining vs. Matthew Gray Gubler as Simon and Janice Karman vs. Jesse McCartney as Theodore. I do wish the editors of Wikipedia would default-set the main Chipmunk page to the Chipmunks as a recording entity and not the Chipmunks as an animated licensed property, such as yourself. --What about a squirrel? (talk) 22:15, 24 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

I have replied where you cross-posted this. See Talk:Alvin Chipmunk (cartoon character)#Need for DAB. Andrewa (talk) 04:49, 25 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Simon Chipmunk (disambiguation) edit

A tag has been placed on Simon Chipmunk (disambiguation) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G6 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an orphaned disambiguation page which either

  • disambiguates two or fewer extant Wikipedia pages and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic); or
  • disambiguates no (zero) extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
