License tagging for Image:Goatse hello.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Goatse hello.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 03:06, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

Blocked edit

You have been blocked for 24 hours for obvious trolling and/or lack of common sense. Please refrain from uploading shock images and putting them on random talk page discussions - putting them on the actual goatse article is bad enough... Cheers. ugen64 04:15, 30 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

East Bay High School edit

I don't see your justification for marking East bay High School for speedy delete. It is certainly of limited appeal to the general audience, but that in itself is not justification to delete. Please explain before marking this page again. Caper13 19:32, 2 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

It's a vanity page. It doesn't belong on Wikipedia. --Segin 03:25, 3 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Generally a vanity page is a page someone writes about themselves or their group (in the case of a small club or musicians). As a large High School, presumably one of the main schools of the community, the school would be notable for that fact. No one deletes articles about small villages or towns even though they may have fewer inhabitants than that school. I'm not saying the school has a huge amount of notability, but in my opinion, it has enough to stay, and its not hurting anyone in the meantime unless the students put some stupid stuff in there. It may also be notable because some noteworthy people went there, and in time that information may get added. In general, the db-school tag is more likely to apply to small schools (beauty schools, trade schools, etc) that few people attend, has little standing in the community, etc. In any case, it doesn't qualify for a speedy delete even if you feel it is not notable. Articles for deletion nomination of Overdose (software) edit

I have nominated Overdose (software), an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Overdose (software). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Joe Chill (talk) 18:30, 27 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Somerset Spectator edit

No, it shouldn't be binned as crap. It should have been reverted to a sound version, which is what I just did. Always look in the history - and check earlier versions. Peridon (talk) 16:35, 24 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
