It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Just to thank you and a follow-up question :) edit

Hey Samak,

I just wanted to thank you for the addition of the picture to the Abbas Gharabaghi article. :-) I had forgotten to do so. Gharabaghi qualifies as well for the Iranian Azerbaijanis infobox right? (as in; being more than notable enough) I'm thinking about adding Aydin Aghdashloo and perhaps Gharabaghi to the infobox as well, but I need to think more about that.

Btw, regarding this question about a picture of those people, did you by any accident happen to stumble across any of them in Farsi? :) (Shamkhal Sultan, Anicée Alvina, etc) It would make a really valuable addition to those articles namely.

Bests - LouisAragon (talk) 05:40, 10 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Gharabaghi is the best option for Azerbaijanis article. my idea (Shamkhal Sultan, Anicée Alvina) haven't Iranian/Persian identity.--SaməkTalk 08:05, 10 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
Heh, I know. I just thought maybe you could upload a picture of both of them (both Alvina and Shamkhal sultan) as a valuable addition to those articles in question. That's all. Do you think you could that? Btw, I want to create an article about an Iranian Azeri who became Hero of the Soviet Union (he was from Ardabil). Could you upload his picture as well? [1]. Bests - LouisAragon (talk) 15:36, 12 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

@LouisAragon: Fulfill Promise, Done.-SaməkTalk 14:03, 24 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
Thanks alot my friend! :-) I didn't receive any notification of your ping btw (sometimes it doesnt work). I will try expanding that article soon. Should we add him and his picture to the Ardabil page as well btw? At the gallery? Bests and take care - LouisAragon (talk) 19:20, 25 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
Ardabil is the Iranian city, but Habibullah Huseynov is hero Soviet, I think is not reasonable put the picture to the Ardabil page. In your opinion, what percentage of the people of Iran and Ardabil know him? >0.5%--SaməkTalk 21:10, 25 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
Heh, thats probably true. There are better fitting pages such as Iranians in Russia and Azerbaijanis in Russia. Bests - LouisAragon (talk) 22:31, 25 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
Agree–SaməkTalk 20:47, 26 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
@Samak:, do you like this one more (we can replace Mukhtarova with Huseynov) or this one? (gallery). I dont have a fitting last one atm to fit the last gap, so thats why its missing one. Btw, lastly regarding our earlier talk above; whom can we swap with Abbas Gharabaghi on the Iranian Azeris page (you suggested as well that we could add him to the Azeris page). Any idea about this too? Bests - LouisAragon (talk) 23:06, 25 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
Hi Louis, Gallery of Iranians in Russia is very good. only fill one gap. about the Azeris pictures, I have no idea because there is not a consensus, constantly is changing. but about Iranian Azerbaijanis and add the Gharabaghi pic, according to a lot of people in Tabriz in gallery, If you put Gharabaghi removed the image of tabrizian such as Qovsi Tabrizi.--SaməkTalk 20:59, 26 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Salam Samak, thanks for your opinions, always appreciate them very much. )) Ok, I will take your advice into consideration whenever Im gonna touch the article again (that article needs alot of expanding anyways). Btw, I was doing some works on several Qajar military articles (created some new ones, such as Samson Makintsev, Yevstafii Skryplev, and as we speak I uploaded a pretty decent picture regarding the event where the Russian deserters enter Tabriz on their back to Russia, January 22, 1838. Maybe you have a nice spot for it somewhere in the Tabriz-related aricles as well? Dont we have some history of tabriz article? (needs to be created sometime as well, in case we dont have it). Otherwise, just forget about my last question, heh.

Will you celebrate New Year with friends and family, btw? )

Take care my friend. - LouisAragon (talk) 03:21, 30 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi Louis, Thanks for observance Neutral point of view in historical articles. the image used in this article is good. In my opinion, briefly add to history of tabriz.
I am religious person and i do not believe in christmas as a muslim. but are some of my friends that celebrate new year. Iranian new year is Nowruz the beginning solar new year and spring season--SaməkTalk 20:49, 30 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
I'm sorry for my belated response, my friend. Ah, that's cool. Yes, we celebrate Nowruz as well, but thats really as far as it goes regarding "Iranian culture" which I was raised with, not really anything else. Btw, really good work (know its tiresome) on reverting those IP's and accounts that are spamming bogus material on "Tatis". I already know who the master is.

Saff V. (talk) 11:21, 10 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

SaməkTalk 12:06, 10 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Saff V. (talk) 12:15, 10 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

The AN thread edit

Given my examination of the issues you raised at AN, I'm removing your rollback for using it in what's frankly a rather silly nationalist dispute. The whole AA2 area is one of the most contentious, and this sort of thing only inflames the tensions there and makes it harder to keep a lid on things. If you go a few months without edit warring, re-request it at WP:PERM and it shouldn't be too hard to get restored. The Blade of the Northern Lights (話して下さい) 22:16, 12 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

April 2016 edit

Your recent editing history at Saib Tabrizi shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Hello Samak! I wrote new text for the article "Pazooka tribe" yesterday with references. You know that it's name is Pazuki and most of them are Kurdish. Only some of them speak Turkish in Iran and I wrote it too with reference. But you deleted my text without any discussion. I don't need actually any discussion, because it's very clear that Pazuki is a Kurdish tribe and it is mentioned first time by Sharaf Khan Bidlisi as Pazuki, not as Pazooka. You have to respect to public rights and empathy for other ethnic or religious groups. People need information, not nationalist or fanatic hate. Here is WIKIPEDIA and it's a collective/public sphere. ممنون میشوم اگر اصلاح کنید — Preceding unsigned comment added by Afshar khan (talkcontribs) 09:04, 20 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

با تشکر — Preceding unsigned comment added by Afshar khan (talkcontribs) 18:03, 20 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

SaməkTalk 20:22, 20 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

البته لینک فیلتر — Preceding unsigned comment added by Afshar khan (talkcontribs) 21:10, 20 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Nagara edit

The nagara or naghara is the most widespread of the membranophone instruments. There are several types of naghara, which is considered to be the lead instrument in folk ceremonies and weddings. The naghara differs in size and goes by various names such as "boyuk nagara" (big naghara), "jura naghara" (small naghara), "chiling naghara"(played with drum sticks), "Qoltuq nagara" (drum held under the arm),gosha naghara(Naqareh) and "el naghara" (hand naghara).[1][2]Samizambak (talk) 15:00, 12 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Asian 10,000 Challenge invite edit

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 02:31, 21 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
