Hard to prove that he isn't an experienced IP that created an account to process the AFD. It actually isn't too uncommon for the first edit of a named account to be an AFD, because it's one of the few things that you have to create an account to do. I'll keep an eye and see if he does anything disruptive. If you've got any evidence that he's some other account that's trying to hide his part in the AFD, I'll look at that, too.—Kww(talk) 06:28, 31 July 2010 (UTC)

What the hell

Oh wait, adding Snoop Dogg to the associated acts is considered vandalism now? Damn, I bet lighting a cigarette is considered arson to you is that right?--Louis Taylor (talk) 07:09, 1 August 2010 (UTC)

Well considering that they have done two songs together it is vandalism as Snoop is no where near a associated act. Red Flag on the Right Side 07:11, 1 August 2010 (UTC)

Not really vandalism, most people that come across that article will just say, "Well he did work with Snoop on his last album" its not like I compleatly destroyed the article and I'm tempted considering he murdered hip-hop and that he is such a poser, see it could be worse, just say its not relevent because vandalism is a strong word.--Louis Taylor (talk) 23:06, 1 August 2010 (UTC)

Well the fact that he worked with Snoop can be mentioned inside the article as that section is for frequent colaborators not just people he's worked once or twice. Its unconstructive whatever way you look at it. Red Flag on the Right Side 23:27, 1 August 2010 (UTC)

Why did'nt you say it was unconstructive, it would'nt have pissed me off to much?--Louis Taylor (talk) 02:10, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

The warning is a template not my own words. Red Flag on the Right Side 03:41, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

Warning templates

Hey, thanks for the tip with how to warn users with templates. I put one of the templates on that IP's talk page, so now they have me asking them to stop twice, plus one of the templates. It's really annoying that we can't do anything about people who just vandalize once a week apparently, but whatever, I'll just add a new template each time? --Darktower 12345 01:08, 7 August 2010 (UTC)

Yeah give him a template everytime just go up from like 1, 2, 3, 4 and then report. With vandals like him that vandalize once a week I mean its possible to handle its not like everyday vandals which are the ones that get blocked. Red Flag on the Right Side 07:22, 7 August 2010 (UTC)

Chain Gang = Chain Heavy

that MTV article cited is the only article anywhere that refers to Chain Heavy as Chain Gang, and it is incorrect. The lyric goes "My chain heavy, my chain real heavy." No mention of chain gang, and every other article says it to be Chain Heavy.

SO STOP EDITING IT BACK PLEASE.

Do you have a reliable source that says its "Chain Heavy"? Red Flag on the Right Side 03:05, 12 August 2010 (UTC)

http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=kanye+facebook+chain+heavy Anything on there. But just listen to the video, "This one called Chain Heavy." And then the lyrics "My chain heavy, my chain too heavy." Straight from Kanye's mouth. That's a better source than MTV

Well theres alot of songs they say something in the chorus but has a different name so stop changing it with out a reliable third party source. A google search is not a source. Oh yeah and sign your posts with 4 ~. Red Flag on the Right Side 06:02, 12 August 2010 (UTC)

Dude he literally introduces the song as "This is one called Chain Heavy." Never did Kanye ever refer to the song as Chain Gang, MTV messed up. Stop changing it. User:Patesta

Lil Wayne a singer

Isn't Lil Wayne a singer? Wayne Olajuwon (talk) 15:37, 12 August 2010 (UTC)

I would think he would be considered one. Why you ask? Red Flag on the Right Side 19:04, 12 August 2010 (UTC)

Because he wasn't mentioned as a singer on his article. Wayne Olajuwon (talk) 22:09, 12 August 2010 (UTC)

Well he is best known as a rapper and a CEO so it shouldn't be meantioned in the infobox if thats what your refering to. Red Flag on the Right Side 22:15, 12 August 2010 (UTC)

Why?

Addition to Usher to STL infobox

On the single, it is Bieber's single soley, Usher is just featured on the remix and the remix only appears on his album as an album track, not a single. Candyo32 23:01, 13 August 2010 (UTC)

Well its still featured on his album which makes it a dual single, but whatever im not going to cry about it if you reverted it. Red Flag on the Right Side 23:04, 13 August 2010 (UTC)
But that's the point its not a dual single. Usher was just on a the remix, and the remix happens to be included on Versus as an album track, not the original single. Candyo32 23:44, 13 August 2010 (UTC)

Got Your Back chron

The current chronolgy with "Dead and Gone" preceding and nothing currently succeeding is correct. "Yeah Ya Know" and "Ya Hear Me" were both promotional singles, not official singles from his albums. Candyo32 21:40, 29 August 2010 (UTC)

Do you have any guideline that says only official singles go there? Red Flag on the Right Side 21:49, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
Its called the artist's "singles" chronology. The regular "chronology" is for promos and features. Candyo32 21:54, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
Says who? You? Also if you continue to use rollback on good faith edits you will get it rovoked. Red Flag on the Right Side 21:57, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
My mistake, I should have undid the edit instead so my rollback will not be revoked. Btw, I just don't make up stuff for the heck of it just to bother other users. Believe me, I don't want to waste my time or yours. However, if you visit FA or GA articles, the singles chronology only holds the artists' official solo singles, not their promotional, soundtrack or featured singles. Candyo32 22:04, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
I just looked at a couple GA's and they did include featured singles and promos so your only proving me right as you have no guideline to show against it. Red Flag on the Right Side 22:13, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
Well I'm just telling you what I've been told in every GA/FA review I've been through, so I was making it the way it would be either way. And of course every article isn't going to be the same, thus WP:OTHERSTUFF. But to give you example, the Gaga articles some of the most HQ music articles on Wikipedia and arguably what most other music articles are based off of, in the Just Dance chronology the official single Poker Face follows as the next single instead of the promo Beautiful, Dirty, Rich. Candyo32 22:19, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
An example would be a GA you worked on and it was still aproved even with 4 My Town (Play Ball) which is a featured single in the chrono. Red Flag on the Right Side 03:21, 30 August 2010 (UTC)
As I said before, WP:OTHERSTUFF. Of course every article isn't going to be like every other article. That doesn't mean it is right or wrong. But think about it, are featured singles and solo singles merged in discographies? The same goes for the chronology I suppose, or what I've been told in reviews. Candyo32 23:33, 30 August 2010 (UTC)

AfD

I'll AGF with your self revert, although your first edit summary wasn't very civil, but note "admin or editor in good standing will assess the discussion and make a decision to Keep, Delete, Merge, Redirect, or Transwiki the article based on a judgment of the consensus of the discussion." Being that WP:HAMMER is NOT a valid reason to delete, the article is well sourced. CTJF83 chat 03:26, 3 September 2010 (UTC)

Well my apolegizes but nearly the entire article is about a nonexistant album that 50 Cent has stated no longer exists. Red Flag on the Right Side 03:31, 3 September 2010 (UTC)
The article now has a The Return of the Heartless Monster, does that satisfy you? When closing I focus on the consensus, not my own opinion. CTJF83 chat 03:39, 3 September 2010 (UTC)
Well its good now that i removed all the irreavelent info about Black Magic. Red Flag on the Right Side 01:13, 4 September 2010 (UTC)

Reliable?

A "reliable source" said Cashis was releasing Euthanasia in 2008. Then they said it was 2009. Now they say it's 2010. Now, a single source says in a nealry PR piece that this one is coming out. Given the artists history of claiming release dates that turn out to be false, askling for more than a single source doesn't seem unreasonable. We're almost bordering on WP:CRYSTAL. The source might be generally reliable, but the source they got it from (Cashis) is not. Niteshift36 (talk) 12:53, 3 September 2010 (UTC)

I wasnet talking about Euthanasia which there was no source for I was talking about the Shady Loyalty LP or whatever its called, it had a relibable source for it and you just removed it. Red Flag on the Right Side 14:24, 3 September 2010 (UTC)
  • I wasn't talking about Euthanasia either. I used Euthanasia as an example of why more than one source for this artist might be prudent for any future release. He has a track record of claiming something is being released and it doesn't happen. Niteshift36 (talk) 18:32, 3 September 2010 (UTC)
Well if 2011 comes around and its not mentioned again we can remove it. Red Flag on the Right Side 01:12, 4 September 2010 (UTC)

Pending changes trial is complete

Exactly what I said. It's over. Finished. Done with. No consensus to continue it has been achieved.—Kww(talk) 00:23, 7 September 2010 (UTC)

Check It out.

If you look at FMBQ they clearly state that the single is being released by Will.i.am Music ONLY. This is will.I.Am's official record label. Unless Minaj promotes it as her single or explicitly states that it will appear on her album there is no evidence of this even if Rap-Up claims it... the facts don't APPEAR to show that. I maybe wrong but in the light of the conflicting evidence its WP:OR to claim "Check It Out" is from Pink Friday. -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 | talk2me 23:56, 7 September 2010 (UTC)

The source says straight out that its a dual single. Red Flag on the Right Side 00:00, 8 September 2010 (UTC)
Then why are both labels not listed? and why is there not another source (independent of the sources about the single's release) confirming that the song is featured on Pink Friday? -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 | talk2me 22:24, 8 September 2010 (UTC)
Well I agree with you unless another source trumps the source then it should be left for the time being. Red Flag on the Right Side 01:14, 9 September 2010 (UTC)
But that's my point... FMBQ is the source actually directly showing radio stations when the single is available and they're only listing will.i.am music. I suspect if the single does well it will be included on Pink Friday if not it will end up just as a non-album promo single. I can see that I'm going to be over-rided cus the masses will think the opposite to me. Its fine. Worst case scenario if its not on the album or minaj refuses to acknowledge as her single we can later remove it. -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 | talk2me 01:22, 9 September 2010 (UTC)

Exactly. Red Flag on the Right Side 01:33, 9 September 2010 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Pending changes/Straw poll on interim usage

Hi. As you recently commented in the straw poll regarding the ongoing usage and trial of Pending changes, this is to notify you that there is an interim straw poll with regard to keeping the tool switched on or switching it off while improvements are worked on and due for release on November 9, 2010. This new poll is only in regard to this issue and sets no precedent for any future usage. Your input on this issue is greatly appreciated. Off2riorob (talk) 23:46, 20 September 2010 (UTC)

AIV

Can you explain the reasoning behind this edit? Paralympiakos (talk) 13:29, 21 September 2010 (UTC)

The report was stale. It had been at least 5 hours since his last edit. Red Flag on the Right Side 13:43, 21 September 2010 (UTC)
It doesn't matter! There was a long term problem with all the violations I mentioned in the report and you shouldn't be removing it like that. Paralympiakos (talk) 13:45, 21 September 2010 (UTC)
When reports are made to Wp:AIV the vandalism must be recent and curently ongoing. So reporting him 5 hours after his last edit doesn't cut it. Red Flag on the Right Side 13:49, 21 September 2010 (UTC)
Recent in this context means within the last day or so. Just because a person logs off doesn't mean they are suddenly off the hook. Go and read the rules behind AIV:
  1. The edits of the user you are reporting must be considered vandalism. - Check
  2. The user must be given sufficient recent warnings to stop. - Check
  3. Unregistered users must be active now, and the warnings must be recent. - Check
You shouldn't be doing this. I'd advise that you don't in the future. Paralympiakos (talk) 13:54, 21 September 2010 (UTC)

Any AIV patroler would have removed that report its just a coinceadence that it was me. You must not know much about the process. Reports that are ussally just 3 hours since last edit are removed and this is two hours past that point. Red Flag on the Right Side 14:05, 21 September 2010 (UTC)

I know plenty about the process, hence why I've taken the issue up with you. Don't do it again. Leave that up to admins who can either block the individual or not. Paralympiakos (talk) 14:07, 21 September 2010 (UTC)
Well you must not sense what I did was in good faith and also right. Just stop complaining and learn to report him after he vandalizes again, right away. Red Flag on the Right Side 14:12, 21 September 2010 (UTC)
Good faith, yes. Correct, no. I DID report the user almost immediately. Like I say, leave the removing to admins. Paralympiakos (talk) 14:13, 21 September 2010 (UTC)
Yeah the words three hours and immediately don't really have the same meaning. Red Flag on the Right Side 14:28, 21 September 2010 (UTC)
Uh oh. Looks like three hours is way off the mark! Paralympiakos (talk) 14:41, 21 September 2010 (UTC)

Well sorry not my fault or your fault that nobody adressed your problem for hours. Your report was good at the time but became stale as it was unanswered. Red Flag on the Right Side 23:55, 21 September 2010 (UTC)

Hi STATicVerseatide

I removed (again) the {{recent death}} template from the above-captioned article. If you see the edit history of the article you will see that editing frequency has diminished so that there is no way that the template—according to its own instructions—is warranted. My previous edit summary when removing the template gave (what I intended to be) a reasonably concise summary of the rationale. If you disagree, please reply here or on the talk page.

Regards, Bongomatic 00:44, 1 October 2010 (UTC)

Sorry I just thought that template is warented on the article of someone that recently died to notify readers that info will change. I am not a watcher of the page and just stumbled across it after I found out he died so I did not see your edit summary. Red Flag on the Right Side 00:47, 1 October 2010 (UTC)
No worry nor apology needed. The template, frankly, should be reworded to reflect that it's really there to alert editors to possible edit conflicts, not to sensationalize somebody's death. Bongomatic 02:30, 1 October 2010 (UTC)

MDBTF article

I reverted your edit regarding the term "universal". "Universal" suggests worldwide (which probably cant be supported with one aggregate reviewer site as a citation). It's also redundant with the Metacritic statement following the lead-in for that section. "General" is a better compromise and formal tone, with respect to WP:Tone. Besides, 4star reviews from Allmusic and The Guardian were just positive, as they perceived flaws and were not acclamatory. (in the 61-80 range, which Metacritic considers "generally favorable" and not "universal acclaim" 1) Dan56 (talk) 01:36, 23 November 2010 (UTC)

Last Train to Paris

Hi Stat, Per WP:ALBUMS and wikipedia rules in general, non-free media items such as album and single covers should be no more than 300 x 300 in size. Additionally if possible and a version of the cover without parental advisory stickers exist those should be uploaded instead. Either way I've reduced the size of the cover and provided a proper source (walmart) instead of the dodgy blog one. -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 | talk2me 02:25, 30 November 2010 (UTC)

Yeah im talking about the second upload by you. Like now its 300x297 which I would think would make it not the same height and length and i've never read or heard of the parental advisory logo. I would think it would be better to have it as it would tell readers "Hey this album contains explict lyrics" which would give more depth and it will be seen more often then not with the parental advisory logo. STATic message me! 02:35, 30 November 2010 (UTC)
I took the cover directly from walmart. The rules state a maximum of 300 x 300 but that doesn't mean it has to exactly be that size. 3px out is negligible amount (1% error). At the end of the day I've had the debate and explicit/non-explicit all too often and its always ended with someone uploading the version without the advisory logo. At the end of the day it is not wikipedia's job to educate people on the ins and outs of an album. Hip-hop albums generally always have a P.A.S. and explicit lyrics but if we were talking about a pop artist etc. then yes I'd agree you'd have a point. But based on my experiences and run ins with GA albums it most certainly is not correct to have P.A.S.
Just to be certain I've asked an admin I often bump into (who has experience with image rules etc.) to clarify if there is a genuine wiki policy reason for this stance etc. But thank you for making the effort to discuss. -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 | talk2me 14:24, 30 November 2010 (UTC)
What do you think about calling "Love Come Down" a promotional single? We could say that following "Angels", Diddy-Dirty Money released "Love Come Down", a promo single which is not included on the track listing? -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 | talk2me 00:48, 6 December 2010 (UTC)

Its what the article for "Angels" says and probably was sourced back when there was a confirmed tracks section. A side note when I clicked on the ref you gave for song writers I didn't get anything on song writers on the page. Whats up with that? STATic message me! 02:07, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
Well that's not a good idea to source something from another page on wikipedia without no source. Allmusic is one of the most reliable websites out there. If you click on it it comes up with the track listing and then you hover over each song with your mouse or you can click each song in turn and it brings up the writers. -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 | talk2me 02:09, 7 December 2010 (UTC)

Yeah your right Wikipedia is not a reliable source cause anyone can change it. About Allmusic idk it might be my lame ass browser :P. You should prolly move Coming Home by now its in good shape. STATic message me! 02:12, 7 December 2010 (UTC)

Okies.... I'll give it a once over and get it moved. It wont be long now before its out and we can modify any mistakes if there's any. Though I doubt there will be it just for some of the songs the producers arent explicitly clear. -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 | talk2me 02:14, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
Yes according to the album credits from Allmusic Rick Ross is listed as a composer and has performance credits for "Angels" according to iTunes (i believe). -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 | talk2me 03:49, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

Do you see The Smoking Section on WP:ALBUM/REVSIT cause I sure don't. Then it should not be used in Album review templates. STATic message me! 06:57, 22 December 2010 (UTC)

It's actually The Smoking Section. It's very similar to Gawker, but it's an urban culture site. They are very reputable. Nothing like the smoking gun. They have several reviews all over Wiki. This album is not different.

Well then they should all be removed cause it is not on WP:ALBUM/REVSIT. STATic message me! 07:01, 22 December 2010 (UTC)

Sir/Madam, the rules also state: "Additional sites and sources may also be used, provided they meet the criteria at Wikipedia:Reliable sources and WP:ALBUMS#Reception." which TSS has and always done. They've been featured on CNN and MTV, and countless other outlets for their accuracy. I'm an avid reader of the site, and they only have professional journalist writing reviews, not even DJs. That sentence refears to the paragraph that acompanys the template not in the acctul template. Also the fact that it doesn't have its own article further proves its non nobility. STATic message me! 07:16, 22 December 2010 (UTC)

Could you please explain how Boombox (The Lonely Island song) has an article to itself when there is no evidence of it ever charting, being nominated for anything, or receiving even remotely as much coverage as this song has had. - Amog | Talkcontribs 09:51, 22 December 2010 (UTC)

Music videos

I've done 9 GA reviews on music articles.

Have the synopsis of a music videos is not WP:OR -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 03:28, 25 December 2010 (UTC)

Everything in Wikipedia must be verified WP:V. Get a source describing the video because we cant have a whole section of unsourced crap. STATic message me! 03:31, 25 December 2010 (UTC)
Incorrect. Even 4 Minutes has unsourced paragraphs in the music video section and that's an FA. Obviously I'm working on all the singles related to the album so they are all getting expanded. I will find you the policy page which allows synopsis because there definitely is one. -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 03:34, 25 December 2010 (UTC)
As Lil-Unique stated, this is a different case. Like for film and book plots, music video synopsis do not need references. I have been told this by administrators. If you would like clarification I could gladly contact one for you. Candyo32 - Merry CHRISTmas :) 03:33, 25 December 2010 (UTC)

Also, thanks for correcting that error that it was a promotional single on "Got Your Back" I hadn't notice that. I think it is like that on TI's discography too. Some fans try to make official singles seem promotional if they aren't on an album or if they don't perform well..lol Candyo32 - Merry CHRISTmas :) 00:00, 26 December 2010 (UTC)

Saw II: Flesh & Blood CONFIRMED that she SURVIVED! Tapp's file states that he last saw her when she split up from him in the hospital. He never saw her again after that. Tapp kills himself in the Freedom ending. Saw II: Flesh & Blood confirmed that he KILLED himself. Play the game before reverting edits. Ass on the Floor

Fairplay... i think the Monster Mondays thing is a 50-50 call either way. Lots of sources have informally called it the next single but it doesn't have a radio date or download date which makes it charting on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart more intriguing. -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 21:18, 28 December 2010 (UTC)

Monster Mondays is just like GOOD Friday. Thats like saying every song Kanyes released nearly every friday for the last couple months is an official single which is crazy lol. The charting most likly resulted for dismal solo downloads along with the album on iTunes. The same situation happened with Lil Waynes song "Knockout" everyone called it the next single but yet it was never given an official radio release. STATic message me! 21:29, 28 December 2010 (UTC)
I removed the mention of the Eminem remix from the lead section of "Hello Good Morning" because it was not officially released like the other remixes. The others were all released for purchase/airplay and had music videos. The eminem one didnt and came months after the single release. Its not as notable. -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 04:16, 10 January 2011 (UTC)

While Eminem is notable... his remix of the song is not. Nowhere was it mentioned that Diddy approached Em for the remix. Its origins are unknown and like I said it was unreleased. So its not as notable as the other remixes. -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 04:22, 10 January 2011 (UTC)
I get what you meen. Someone could've just took unreleased Eminem bars and stuck it in T.I.'s part. STATic message me! 04:32, 10 January 2011 (UTC)
Exactly. I only added it to the article in the first place because it got mentioned by MTV. If it gets more coverage then the article can be adjusted accordingly. Did you hear the MJB Naked Mix of "Somebody to Love Me"? I'm really digging it! I would like to see them release that as well as the collabo with Grace Jones. -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 04:35, 10 January 2011 (UTC)

Wait up as far as I can see The Grime and U.K. remix were never released. STATic message me! 05:28, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
The Grime remix received an official music video and was released for digital download. The TEAM UK remix is included on the UK digital EP and received airplay in the UK. Heck Diddy even went on radio to promote it. The Eminem remix is avaiable through any legal channels. Hence it is not as notable as the other remixes. -- Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 02:33, 17 January 2011 (UTC)

The Ocean featuring Dr. Dre & Busta Rhymes

I'm assuming this is the track you're giving me a warning for? I'm just curious where you have heard or seen Dre of Cool & Dre rapping on that track. I know I heard Dr. Dre and I heard Busta Rhymes. If you know something I don't, I'd be glad to hear it. Sorry for the disruption!

Highbird2010 (talk) 20:11, 12 February 2011 (UTC)

On the official Purp & Patron website it only credits Dre as a featuring artist. It doesn't madder who you hear on the track, just what is officially credited. STATic message me! 22:52, 12 February 2011 (UTC)

No, on the official site it credits Dr. Dre, not Dre of Cool & Dre. What official site are you looking at? I'm looking at www.purpandpatron.com

Highbird2010 (talk) 23:08, 12 February 2011 (UTC)

Oh, I see. You're looking at livemixtapes.com. That is not the OFFICIAL site, that's a site the mixtape is hosted on. Purpandpatron.com IS the OFFICIAL site. Game and DJ Skee both promote purpandpatron.com as the official site.

Highbird2010 (talk) 23:14, 12 February 2011 (UTC)

No, on www.purpandpatron.com, go to the bottom where you can vote for what track for them to make a video for (I voted for "The Kill") it says "The Ocean" (featuring Dre). Not Dr. Dre, just Dre. STATic message me! 23:17, 12 February 2011 (UTC)

The Official track list is right there at the top. Obviously whoever labeled that poll mislabeled the track. You and I know Dr. Dre is on the track. It says HE IS on the track at the track list on top. You're trying to call a POLL an official track list?

And I voted for Bad Intentions even though, apparently, thats not an original beat. I haven't been able to find the original track!

Highbird2010 (talk) 23:34, 12 February 2011 (UTC)

At the top of the page you can't even see the featurings on "The Ocean" so you use the poll and in this reliable source and this onestate the song as featuring Dre. Its all about verifablity. STATic message me! 23:42, 12 February 2011 (UTC)

You can't see that it says "29. THE OCEAN FEAT. DR. DRE" ? It is perfectly clear on the top right side to the right of the DOWNLOAD HERE button, below "Patron". — Preceding unsigned comment added by Highbird2010 (talkcontribs) 02:06, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

Okay well do to the conflicting sources would you be fine leaving it (featuring Dre) as that what it has been credited most of the time. You and me both know its Dr. Dre but for example on Kanye West's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy he credits RZA as The RZA and CyHi da Prynce as Prince da CyHi. If we linked to Dre's article it would be overlinking anyways. STATic message me! 03:51, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

Coming Home GAN

Hi, I was wondering why you were nominating Coming Home for GAN, when it looks like you haven't contributed to the article much, only having 11 edits, when Lil-unique has basically written the article from scratch himself, with 141 edits. [1] The GA page says that only significant writers of an article should nominate. Thanks. Candyo32 13:16, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

Sorry didn't see that part, even though im probably have the second most edits on the page. Do I remove it or what? STATic message me! 15:59, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
Actually, you are third. And I would remove the nomination, because even if you were one of the top contributors and the article was ready, per WP:RECENTISM it should wait a while before being nominated anyway. Candyo32 18:30, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

GA Nominations

First of all brilliant that you want to take the article to GA... that was always my intention, however it will be done when I'm ready to or if I say its ok for you too. I know I am temporarily less active than normal but that doesn't mean that credit for the work done on this article shouldn't go to myself as I've contributed way more than anyone else on the article. Its wrong of you to jump into the article and take credit for all the work done. I am the major contributor to this article and thus per WP:GA I should be informed if another user wishes to nominate an article which I am a major contributor to and have done virtually all of the work for. The fact that you didn't even have the courtesy to ask is really rude. And before you call me out for WP:OWNership think about this fairly. As it stands I would not have nominated the article until its finished its chart run and until the next single is confirmed because information in the article could still change. — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 01:57, 14 February 2011 (UTC)

Sorry this come out really harsh... I didn't realise Candyo32 had called you out on this. Ignore the harshness... I went ahead and removed the nomination... I am happy to work with you on future GA nominations e.g. there's no way I'd do Last Train to Paris alone... its too big. That would need to be co-nominated. — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 01:58, 14 February 2011 (UTC)
Yeah I know it was like my first GA nomination ever so I didn't know. I did the work on Last Train to Paris before you came in but you don't even give me a chance to edit it anymore man LOL. STATic message me! 02:50, 14 February 2011 (UTC)
I don't see LTTP like that.... Admittedly you did edit that one first... but I guess all the info comes into my news feeds and RSS so as soon as there's something worth adding it gets added. its not deliberate and equally i dont undo your edits unless I disagree with them. In terms of contribs [2] i'm 175 and your 76 on LTTP ... like I said with that I'd be more than happy for us to co-nominate the album when the time is right as we've both made significant contributions to the article and it will be easier as we'll both be able to respond to the review. if you so wish. Other than that the only thing I'd add is I only edit and GA articles I feel passionate about... :D tbh This Diddy stuff is the first hip-hop ish material i've edit... I normally stick to pop and R&B tbh — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 02:57, 14 February 2011 (UTC)
Yeah just tell me when your ready for it and i'll co-nominate with you. Sucks you don't do more hip hop I could use your help haha. I wont ussally work really hard to build articles except right when I create them, Most of my edits are ussally vandalism fighting. STATic message me! 03:02, 14 February 2011 (UTC)
On the subject shouldn't User:Dan56 co-nominated My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy with me as I have 221 edits and he has 231. I don't really see that as fair. Am I right? STATic message me! 03:08, 14 February 2011 (UTC)

Hmmm I'll dabble occasionally if I like the song enough... we won't be able to do LTTP until they've stopped releasing singles from it. At the moment its such a mess because there are six music videos (two of which cannot be properly sourced: 'I Hate That You Love Me' and 'Somebody to Love Me') plus there are more on awaiting release: ("Yesterday", "Looking for Love", "Somebody to Love Me Remix)", more waiting to be filmed ("Yeah Yeah You Would", "Hate You Now" and "Change") and then songs like "Ass on the Floor" which don't even have a proper release but Diddy tweeted about it being a future single. Its like wtf... Make your mind up. Plus there's supposedly a Coming Home tour to attend with... — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 03:17, 14 February 2011 (UTC)

Wow is all I can say to all that. Diddy is such a workaholic it gets annoying to follow everything he does -_- STATic message me! 03:20, 14 February 2011 (UTC)
I'm thinking that I'll create a new section under 'promotion' called music videos as ones like "Hate That You Love Me" are playing on MTV Base in the UK but without a single release we can't really call it a single. Was also thinking of creating a sub-section for the mixtapes because there's now a second one about to drop. It would be really nice if someone could clarify which songs are singles etc. and if someone proper sources started reporting the video releases... — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 03:28, 14 February 2011 (UTC)

Slaughterhouse is NOT signed to Aftermath

I don't know why you're so persistent with this, but they're only signed to Shady/Interscope; Dr. Dre and Aftermath Entertainment have no involvement with this deal. The article you keep referencing this to also doesn't prove they're signed to Aftermath, it discusses Royce and Joell's former ties to the label. No where does it say Slaughterhouse is currently signed to Aftermath, or that a deal with Aftermath is in the works. The only artist signed to both Shady and Aftermath is 50 Cent. If they were signed to Aftermath, don't you think, since that's Dr. Dre's label, that he might be included on the March/2011 cover of XXL along with Eminem, Slaughterhouse, and Yelawolf? Well he's not. Don't get wrong, it would be great if they were signed to Aftermath, and I'm sure Slaughterhouse as a collective would think so too, but it was hard enough getting them signed to Shady. TUTone602 (talk) 05:10, 17 February 2011 (UTC)

In the article Joell and Royce discuss now being under the "Aftermath/Interscope Umbrella" so that indicates they're signed to Aftermath/Shady/Interscope. STATic message me! 01:40, 18 February 2011 (UTC)

This is what the article starts off stating: "After unsuccessful runs at Aftermath, Royce Da 5'9" and Joell Ortiz explain how it feels to rejoin the roster under Slaughterhouse's deal with Shady." Everyone knows Slaughterhouse is only signed to Shady/Interscope, except you apparently. There will no doubt be an affiliation with Aftermath, but they're not contractually signed with Aftermath. Read all the news articles about the signing, and even the new issue of XXL; Aftermath is not mentioned in being part of the deal at all.TUTone602 (talk) 04:06, 18 February 2011 (UTC)

Well the reliable source says they are under Aftermath so deal with it. STATic message me! 04:11, 18 February 2011 (UTC)

The reliable source says they're under the Aftermath/Interscope "umbrella", which they are since they're signed to Shady. Just admit you're wrong and quit trying to change something that isn't right.TUTone602 (talk) 04:18, 18 February 2011 (UTC)

Following policy by supporting wrong information and trying to validate it with your own perception on what the article actually says? That's not following policy, you need to do your research, and use some logic, before you post stuff like this, and you obviously don't know your information when it comes to the topic of discussion, so stick to what you do know.

Go ahead and report me if you think I'm doing anything wrong here, because I'm really not.TUTone602 (talk) 07:52, 18 February 2011 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined

I notice that you tagged the page Jess Jackson for speedy deletion with the reason "A7". While that's a valid reason for speedy deletion in general, this page does not qualify for speedy deletion under that criterion because the subject appears to be notable. If you still want the page to be deleted, please consider tagging it with a speedy deletion template which does apply, redirecting it to another page, proposing the page for deletion if it appears to be an uncontroversial matter, or taking the page to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion for a wider discussion. Thanks! GorillaWarfare talkcontribs 05:16, 19 February 2011 (UTC)

If someone was to remove all the unsourced information then there would be no sign of notability what so ever. STATic message me! 16:03, 19 February 2011 (UTC)
Possibly true, but you should read about A7. It states that it's for a subject that does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, and This is distinct from verifiability and reliability of sources, and is a lower standard than notability. Furthermore, it says that The criterion does not apply to any article that makes any credible claim of significance or importance even if the claim is not supported by a reliable source or does not qualify on Wikipedia's notability guidelines. I would suggest nominating the article at AfD. GorillaWarfare talkcontribs 16:30, 19 February 2011 (UTC)

I have declined that as well, and reverted the major removal of content you've done. I agree that the page needs to be sourced, but not all of its content needs to be removed like that. The article is not written with a promotional tone. GorillaWarfare talkcontribs 21:26, 19 February 2011 (UTC)
As I suggested earlier, I've nommed it for AfD at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jess Jackson. GorillaWarfare talkcontribs 21:33, 19 February 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for blocking the Saw page.

Honestly, that guy is dense. You can clearly see Evan's body in the car when the cops arrive. He never moves or speaks. Even the official Saw website says he's dead. What more does that guy want? --98.221.196.38 (talk) 18:04, 19 February 2011 (UTC)

Maybe just a fanboy wanting him still alive since the guy that played Evan is the lead singer of Linkin Park. STATic message me! 18:13, 19 February 2011 (UTC)

All of the Lights

Please revert your edit. Those names are of the vocalists credited for the song, as evidenced in the album booklet. Dan56 (talk) 20:46, 19 February 2011 (UTC)

Sorry when I see people that don't have articles jumbled in with all those famous artists I assumed they were added by a vandal, but then I looked into it and they are in the backing vocals, my bad. STATic message me! 20:52, 19 February 2011 (UTC)
Would you like to add to the discussion regarding "featured artist" credit in this article? Talk:All of the Lights. Dan56 (talk) 06:12, 24 February 2011 (UTC)

Jess Jackson and Careless World

Can you please stop vandalizing Jess Jackson and Tyga's Careless_World page, My company J. Erving Group manages both these artists and I would appreciate you not continuing to disrupt these pages.

I assure you that all text I edit is factual and we are currently working daily on building the pages with more citations and sources for these facts but are finding it difficult when every change we make, you reverse.

Thank You. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Je55 (talkcontribs) 20:48, 19 February 2011 (UTC)

You are the one that is vandalizing these pages. Wikipedia is not here to promote you or your company. Unless you provide reliable sources that back up the information you add then it will be removed. STATic message me! 20:51, 19 February 2011 (UTC)

There is no promotion involved, as stated in the previous comment we are currently working on the external sources and citations. As the closest people to the two artists in question we are making sure that all online content is currently factual and stays that way. By removing and reversing the information you are in fact vandalizing the pages resulting in them no longer being factual. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Je55 (talkcontribs) 21:07, 19 February 2011 (UTC)

When you add the information provide a reliable source. If you don't it will be removed easy as that. STATic message me! 21:09, 19 February 2011 (UTC)

Hey I added that to Eminem discography because in just blaze discography it said that was real and i looked it up and it was real — Preceding unsigned comment added by Stuartandtheave (talkcontribs) 01:18, 21 February 2011 (UTC)

So what? Provide a reliable source. STATic message me! 01:20, 21 February 2011 (UTC)

Deleting unreferenced bits

Hello! I just noticed something that I thought I'd bring up. I saw your reversion here where you undid an edit by a user who added the sentence, "Skylar Grey is on the single "I Need a Doctor", which also features Eminem." because it was uncited. I've noticed you have a tendency to do this, at least from the few edits of yours I've seen. In this case, this seems unnecessary. Of course we're supposed to cite sources, but WP:When to cite also includes a section on when a source may not be needed. I would say this falls under "Subject-specific common knowledge: Material that someone familiar with a topic, including laypersons, recognizes as true. Example (from Processor): "In a computer, the processor is the component that executes instructions."" This single was performed by Dr. Dre, Eminem, and Skylar Grey on the Grammys a week or so ago, and the song has been doing very well on charts internationally (see I Need a Doctor). Furthermore, the sentence is unlikely to be challenged (see Wikipedia:You don't need to cite that the sky is blue and Wikipedia:Likely to be challenged). And finally, the same fact was already sort of cited in a section above it (Singles) -- it didn't mention Skylar by name, which I fixed, but it had the same information. So anyway, I understand that you want everything to be verifiable and accurate, but perhaps in cases like these it should be left alone. I also noticed your response to the user was erring on the side of bitey. GorillaWarfare talkcontribs 02:43, 21 February 2011 (UTC)

As for the "bite" what are you refering to? As to Detox, just because shes featured on the single doesn't mean she will be credited as a featured artist on the album version example would be "Power" Dwele was credited on the single version but not on the album version as with "All of the Lights" Rihanna was credited on the single but not on the album. So no need to jump to conclusions that she will be credited on the album. STATic message me! 02:51, 21 February 2011 (UTC)
The bit he added didn't say that she would be featured on the album, though... And the "so what?" was quite blunt for someone who appeared to have misunderstood. GorillaWarfare talkcontribs 03:14, 21 February 2011 (UTC)
Didn't mean it in a bad tone. Then that info must be moved in to the first not third paragraph as the third paragraph is recently confirmed names. STATic message me! 03:17, 21 February 2011 (UTC)
Fair enough. GorillaWarfare talkcontribs 03:24, 21 February 2011 (UTC)

Rolling Papers (Wiz Khalifa album)

So a #1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 and a professionally-designed album cover aren't enough to count as "enough coverage in reliable sources"? I think this calls for us to get some consensus. Tom Danson (talk) 22:17, 26 February 2011 (UTC)

When you created the article there was only one reliable source that discussed the album. It needs more to be noteable. The cover doesn't change anything. STATic message me! 22:22, 26 February 2011 (UTC)

If an album which has its lead single as #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 isn't notable, I don't know what Wikipedia's standards are. All I know is I'm proud to belong to the Association of Inclusionist Wikipedians. Conservata veritate, Tom Danson (talk) 00:53, 27 February 2011 (UTC)

Okayyy have fun with that. WP:NALBUMS stands in this situation. STATic message me! 01:00, 27 February 2011 (UTC)

Please, let's not demolish the house while it's still being built. I know many editors' subsequent revisions have had problems with this article, but maybe if you gave my original revision a chance, then it will turn out to be something excellent! Tom Danson (talk) 01:21, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
There are no deadlines on Wikipedia. Just because you like the artist doesn't make his album immeditally noteable. Start the article at User: Tom Danson/Rolling Papers and you can create it there and when it is NOTEABLE you can move it to the mainscape. STATic message me! 01:28, 27 February 2011 (UTC)

Doggumentary

Hey well if editing the singles doesn't matter then why did you change it back? it was just fine the way it was before.

No it was fine the way it was before you changed it. "Boom" is a circle redirect, Scoop DeVille has his own page now and singles should stay together there is no reason for a split into subsections. STATic message me! 05:01, 7 March 2011 (UTC)

Lasers

So you are the alpha and omega of Wikipedia? What happened to talking about edits? I felt I had a good edit, I have several friends that agree. Turn back my edits for no reason again and I'll report you. It sounds like you do good things for Wikipedia, and for that I thank you, but being a dictator is a little much. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.138.142.185 (talk) 05:32, 9 March 2011 (UTC)

Both your edits were bad. The tracklist edit was unessasary as clicking on his name takes you to his article to we know its him, and May 4, 2011 was the first day it was released to any country, May 8, 2011 was in the US. The first date goes in the infobox. STATic message me! 05:37, 9 March 2011 (UTC)

Lupe Fiasco

Do you have any inside information about Food & Liquor II and The Great American Rap Album being different album? If I find a reliable source one way or the other, I'll be satisfied with the answer, but for now:

http://officialdjgreen.com/blog/2010/08/10/food-liquor-ii-the-great-american-rap-album-soon-to-hit-the-net/

Straight from Lupe's mouth, they're the same album. All I can really say for now is that nowhere in either of your two sources does it specify that they're NOT the same. Just an opinion. TheGoogler (talk) 23:22, 10 March 2011 (UTC)

Blogs are not reliable sources. In the source for The Great American Rap Album he says the album is finished and in the second source it says F&L II is half-done. So two different albums. STATic message me! 23:55, 10 March 2011 (UTC)
It's not the blog I'm referencing. They just posted information that came straight from Lupe himself in the form of his twitter account. Like I said, I'll look for a better source, but it seems like you can't refute what the artist himself says, when you have no sources to back it up. All you have are two independent sources, neither of which mention that they are two different albums. TheGoogler (talk) 03:22, 11 March 2011 (UTC)
Did you even read my responce? In this source http://www.hiphopdx.com/index/news/id.14285/title.lupe-fiasco-told-by-label-dont-rap-too-deep Lupe says his next album The Great American Rap Album is done and should be released by the end of 2011. In this source http://www.hiphopdx.com/index/news/id.14317/title.lupe-fiasco-says-food-liquor-2-is-half-done/ He says that F&L II is half-done. STATic message me! 03:26, 11 March 2011 (UTC)
Read it again. It NEVER says it's done. It says he hopes to have it out later this year. That's it.

"The potentially good news for fans is that Lupe was busy recording his next album The Great American Rap Album while he was working on Lasers. He hopes to have that out before the end of 2011."TheGoogler (talk) 03:32, 11 March 2011 (UTC)

Either way. It still doesn't say they are the same album. 2. One source says it should be out before the end of 2011 and the other doesn't. Provide a source that says Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album is the title and it will be changed. STATic message me! 03:39, 11 March 2011 (UTC)
Thanks! I'll look for a secondary source, but I know Twitter has been used as a reliable primary source in past as long as it's from a verified account, which Lupe's is. WP:TWITTER. You know more about Wikipedia policy than I do, so what are your thoughts? TheGoogler (talk) 03:45, 11 March 2011 (UTC)

If Lupe tweets saying F&L II: The Great American Rap Album is his next album or something along those lines then we can take it as true. But it is better to get a reliable secondary source for info. Sites like MTV.com, Billboard.com, DJBooth.net, HipHopDX.com, RapUp.com, AllHipHop.com come to mind when it comes to reliable hip hop news websites but there is others. Alex Riley

Please, do not undo the "Alex Riley fired" thing. He was fired and since this he was removed from the Raw roster official page on WWE.com. This means that he is no longer part of the Raw roster. Not just as Miz apprentice. Just Miz could fire him from this "job". The GM fired him from the roster and the TV show. He can compete on dark matches and live shows (like Percy Watson) but he is not part of the official roster anymore. Thanks for the attention. WWEJobber (talk) 06:23, 12 March 2011 (UTC)

D12's Kuniva

I have been working with Kuniva of D12 to establish his Wikipedia page. He has two mixtapes out, another to be released and an EP to be released by the end of the year. Kon Artis, Bizarre and Proof have established Wikipedia pages. Kuniva & Swift have solo music released and should have pages up. (ErykaMarie (talk) 15:28, 13 March 2011 (UTC))

Please read WP:MUSICIAN he needs coverage in reliable secondary souces to be noteable. Right now he is not noteable as a solo artist. STATic message me! 16:25, 13 March 2011 (UTC)

Alex Riley 2

Static, he was kayfabe fired. He is unassingned of Raw brand. And he is not on SmackDown, NXT or FCW. He is currently unassingned, but is still a WWE employee. This article should have no spoilers. Please, understand it. He even was removed from Raw roster page on WWE.com. It was not vandalism. Just an improvement to the article. Thanks for the attention. WWEJobber (talk) 22:10, 13 March 2011 (UTC)

See WP:SPOILER he still only performs on RAW house shows, hes just off television for awhile. He'll most likly be back before Mania to be involved in the Miz v. Cena angle. STATic message me! 22:22, 13 March 2011 (UTC)
