Commercial use of Image:Ambermelody.jpg edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:Ambermelody.jpg, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:Ambermelody.jpg is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only" or "used with permission for use on Wikipedia only" which was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19 or is not used in any articles (CSD I3).

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. This bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Image:Ambermelody.jpg itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. If you have any questions about what to do next or why your image was nominated for speedy deletion please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thanks. --Android Mouse Bot 2 18:56, 17 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Unspecified source for Image:AmberMelody.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:AmberMelody.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 21:20, 14 April 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — pd_THOR | =/\= | 21:20, 14 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Image copyright problem with Image:Ambermelody.jpg edit

Image Copyright problem

Hi Je55!
We thank you for uploading Image:Ambermelody.jpg, but there is a problem. Your image is currently missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. Unless you can help by adding a copyright tag, it may be deleted by an Administrator. If you know this information, then we urge you to add a copyright tag to the image description page. We apologize for this, but all images must confirm to policy on Wikipedia.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks so much for your cooperation.

Notability of Amber Melody edit

A tag has been placed on Amber Melody requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Mosmof (talk) 01:04, 19 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

February 2011 edit

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Jess Jackson. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. STATic message me! 20:20, 19 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Jess Jackson edit

Reliable sources edit

Hello, Wikipedia articles, especially biographies of living people are held to a high standard of verifiability. You have to furnish several reliable, independent sources that discuss Jess Jackson in depth. Facebook doesn't qualify and neither does IMDb. Blogs don't qualify, and neither do any sources controlled by Jackson or by you. Please don't try padding the article with poor quality sources, because 2 or 3 good sources are better than 20 poor sources. If the reliable sources don't exist, please accept that Wikipedia is not the proper place for your article. Feel free to ask me questions if you want. Doctorjazzer edit

Hello, a user called Doctorjazzer has commented in the Jess Jackson AfD debate. Please review our policies on sock puppetry and single purpose accounts. Do not set up accounts to vote twice, and do not recruit other people to back your arguments. Instead, please devote your efforts to providing reliable sources.
