Conflict of interest

Hello, RyLaughlin. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Mitchell S. Steir, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

COI

Hi RyLaughlin, several of us have noticed you may have a WP:COI. Do you? Please can you disclose per the guideline. I see here Wikipedia:Conflict_of_interest/Noticeboard/Archive_64#RyLaughlin you claim not to have a COI, have you checked the copyright is correct on your image File:Colacino-250x250.jpg as the copyright holder is claimed as Studley, Inc. rather than you. WP will need permission from the copyright holder, which you claim to have given. Confused. Do you know the other WP:SPA editors User:ErinHolin and User:Lyndeevm ? I do not see myself as having a conflict of interest with any of the subjects I've written about. I have family ties with people in Studley, Inc. but it is not my organization nor am I being paid to write articles related to them. I've verbally been given approval by people authorized within their organization to post the image File:Colacino-250x250.jpg. User:ErinHolin and User:Lyndeevm are both close personal friends of mine who wanted to contribute when I told them I was editing for Wikipedia. I hope this helps and I apologize for any confusion.

Thanks. Appreciate the disclosure. BTW, did you read the COI guideline? In particular WP:COS. fit. Please could you post the above and continue this conversation at Wikipedia:Conflict_of_interest/Noticeboard#RyLaughlin. You will also need to read WP:MEAT which covers these other accounts. For the images they will probably get deleted - see Wikipedia:Copyrights - I think some sort of written permission (email etc) is needed, but check that out as that's just a bit of annoying paperwork needed. Each of these things is enough to get blocked. As long as you disclose, edit within those guidelines and policies (as we all have to) I would think you won't get blocked, although the meatpuppet accounts should not be spared IMHO, but I'm not an admin so don't have the say.
