Thank you for uploading File:AlastairGalpin-Cheetah.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

Nomination of Alastair Galpin for deletion edit

Record Holders Republic does not seem to be a reliable source, you send in your forms with two witnesses who could be literally anyone and blam you are the record holder - oh and then they will flog you a certificate. Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you must sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button

Why can't I edit Wikipedia?
Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, celebrity or other well-known individual, or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements, and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but it is considered inappropriate for such groups to use Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.
- Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?
Probably not. See WP:FAQ/Organization for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, or organization. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit again. Consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.
- What can I do now?
You are still welcome to write about something other than your company or organization. If you do intend to make useful contributions on some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:
- Add the text

The username RWAP has been my psuedonym across the internet for many years and I am better known by that name than by my trading names, or real name. I do not recall seeing any links to the types of usernames allowed / disallowed by wikipedia when I first created the account - maybe it would help if (a) you warned users before just deciding to block them and (b) including a link to the policies on user names and what cannot be used on the sign up page.
As for all of my contributions being solely of a promotional nature, that is untrue. I have made various contributions to Sinclair, Sinclair QL and ZX Spectrum - all areas of which I have amongst the highest knowledge across users of these brands, let alone wikipedia registered users - see how many other users contribute to these articles (Sinclair QL particularly). The list of Sinclair QL Software is a case in point - it just happens that I am one of only two remaining traders in Sinclair QL items and the only point of reference for purchasing second hand QL software, or finding out about it. But if you wish to remove all my contributions on the subject and lose the information from wikipedia, that is up to the wikipedia team. You have to differentiate between what is information and what might be classed as semi-promotional, rather than just a blanket removal of all contributions I have made.--Rwap (talk) 22:18, 21 September 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:AlastairGalpin-Cheetah.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en
wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en
wikimedia.org.
