Regarding Umut Aral page

Hi @Rusalkii,

hope you are great. thanks for reviewing my page and your feedback. Yesterday I was updating the page Draft:Umut Aral and saw an option to submit the page to main page. Thought my revisions were approved. I'm totally new to this platform and interface. Received a message that it was moved back to draft. Would love to hear your thoughts about the latest changes.

Looking forward. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aralumut (talkcontribs) 06:44, 30 March 2022 (UTC)

@Aralumut You page is still in mainspace, don't worry: Umut Aral. There was a duplicate draft still sitting in the AfC queue, so I declined it there to make sure someone didn't waste their time reviewing it. Rusalkii (talk) 15:10, 30 March 2022 (UTC)
Thank you. Much appreciated! Aralumut (talk) 15:24, 3 April 2022 (UTC)

Regarding status of page: /Conrad_Clipper

Hi Rusalkii,

First up thank you for all the great work you do in moderating and editing articles, it's appreciated. I'm Jim and I'm new to article creation. I would like to make articles for musicians I like.

My first effort was for the artist Conrad Clipper, who I'm a fan of. I tried to use non-tabloid and high quality links but still, I got the general notability guideline, esp:

"Please help to demonstrate the notability of the topic by citing reliable secondary sources that are independent of the topic and provide significant coverage of it beyond a mere trivial mention."

Do you have any advice or suggestions as to which link / source was unsatisfactory?

Please accept apologies in advance if you are not the person to come to for this, and thanks again!

Over and out

@JimTorrens, it looks like @KH-1 tagged the page, I suggest asking them what they thought the problem was. It looked good to me when I accepted it: you have one very substantial review of their work, and one smaller one. If you want to make it a more comfortable notability pass, you could try citing more reviews or other substantial coverage; I found this one, there might be more. Ah, seems like I came to the wrong place. I do apologise. I will ask KH-1! Thanks very much for input and clarifying. JimTorrens (talk) 15:07, 1 April 2022 (UTC)
No worries! Thank you for your work on the article. Rusalkii (talk) 16:12, 1 April 2022 (UTC)

Draft:Federico De Caroli

Good morning! I've read what you wrote about my draft concerning italian composer Federico De Caroli. I can understand he's not so famous in the whole world, but here in Italy he's a relevant artist, working on relevant projects. I see interviews and reviews about his production in hundreds of magazines, books and websites. His work for national broadcast tv is very important. Then, when you talk about not relevant labels and uncertain sources... I think that APM Music Hollywood isn't such an obscure brand!! De Caroli works for APM and he's published in the USA together with other important composers and musicians. His first LP records are high-value pieces for collectors, not only in Europe. Anyway, I'll try again to do a better work for Wikipedia. I see wiki.com (english language) is full of minor artists less famous than Federico De Caroli. I believe that he deserves one page. Thank you for your kind attention. Breus — Preceding unsigned comment added by Breus (talkcontribs) 09:18, 5 April 2022 (UTC)

@Breus, the issue isn't how famous or important he is, but whether there are enough independent sources with significant coverage. If there are lots of reviews of his music, just cite a couple in the draft and resubmit, and then it should be accepted. Take a look at WP:GNG and WP:NOTABILITY if you want to read more about how we access whether there are enough sources on a subject to have a standalone article. As DoubleGrazing said, you should also rewrite in a more neutral tone -- the draft is currently praising De Caroli, instead of neutrally reporting what he's done. Short Desc on Redirect Pages

Hi! I'm @IAmChaos:. I noticed that on the page Walter Groves (actor), you added a shortdescription. While you are allowed to add these to redirect pages, I wanted to remind you that they should be placed UNDER the first line of the redirect like such:

#REDIRECT [[Target]]
{{Short description|Your text here}}

You can see how putting the description above breaks the redirect in this Diff. Please see Wikipedia:Short description#Short descriptions on redirect pages if you have any more questions. Happy Editing--IAmChaos 18:03, 13 April 2022 (UTC)

@IAmChaos there was an edit conflict with the AfC script, I wasn't trying to add a short desc to a redirect at all. I think what happened is that I accepted a draft that had already been accepted, but to a different title, which the script wrote the content of the redirect the previous reviewer left behind + the metadata the script adds to that new redirect page. I assume that isn't intended behavior, I'll let the developers know. Rusalkii (talk) 18:09, 13 April 2022 (UTC)

Hello, Rusalkii,

In a CSD G6 deletion/move request, please provide a link to the page you want to move. Admins are unlikely to delete a page unless they know that what it will be replaced with will be an improvement over the redirect. Using Twinkle, just select CSD G6 Move and there is a field where you can paste a link. Thanks. Liz Read! Talk! 02:28, 14 April 2022 (UTC)

Sorry, I forgot to fill that field of the template. Should be there now. Rusalkii (talk) 03:17, 14 April 2022 (UTC)
No, I meant an active link. Is this a Draft page or is it in User space? Liz Read! Talk! 03:40, 14 April 2022 (UTC)
I'm not sure what you mean, I think I did use an active link to the draft page? In any case it seems to have been handled by someone else. Rusalkii (talk) 16:10, 14 April 2022 (UTC)

Need a feedback!

Hi! Lately you've declined my draft "The Informational Strategies Council of Ukraine" because of the lack of sources. The point is that the organization was created just a month ago because of the war in Ukraine so advertisiment and informational development weren't our main points of view. Thus, there is only the official site and The NY Times article now.

Could you please give me any advice on how to solve this issue? Dubitoergosum22 (talk) 06:55, 14 April 2022 (UTC)

@Dubitoergosum22, if there aren't sources, we can't have a page -- we try to reflect what independent sources are saying, so if there aren't sources, we can't have a page. This doesn't mean that the organization isn't important, just that Wikipedia, as an encyclopedia, by definitions tertiary source, and collates what is said about a subject, not what a subject says about itself. Advertisements aren't the kinds of sources we're looking for: once there are a couple independent newspaper articles about the organization, you can come back and update the draft with that information and resubmit, and it'll probably be accepted.
