Kishore Kumar's Memorable Songs edit

Marne Ki Duyaen Kyon Karoon edit

This song was Kishore Kumar's first song, from the 1948 movie, Ziddi, where he played a small supporting role, aside his brother, Ashok Kumar. This was also Kishore Kumar's break in Cinema

Translation:
Why should I ask for Death,
When nobody wishes to live
It may be this world, or the other world, Now, who cares to live.

Aake Seedhi Lagi Dil Pe edit

This song is popular due to the fact that it was sung in two voices, female, and male, spontaneusly, in one song, by a sole singer. Although this song was meant to be romantic, Kishore Kumar's duo-voices turned this song into a comedy. The second singer was meant to be Lata Mangeshkar, who was not awailaible at the studio, for the singing, which forced Kishore Kumar to sing it in the way it is now known as.

Female:

Male:

Literal Meaning:
Female:
Your love has struck my heart like a stone, O handsome

Male:
Your evil nature has stolen my heart, O beutiful.
