Hallo, I've looked at the article Steffi Brillowski which you started, and tidied it up a bit. But the link you cite as the sole reference doesn't seem to work.

If it needs further amendment to make a functioning link, please do so.

If it's a page which isn't open to the general public, then please provide further details of the source, so that readers can see where the information is from.

In fact, you should do both of the above: rather than leaving a web address as a link, you should always tell us what the source really is, so that if the link in future is broken, we can still understand the source of your information. Thanks. PamD 08:51, 12 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

OK, by looking at Christel Bankewitz I see that you left off the "f" of ".pdf" which is why the link didn't work even when I added the "http://". But you need to give a proper reference to that 40-page document, which looks like a chapter out of a larger book (author, title, publisher, date), and then specify the page number for each reference you are using. If a book is made available online, like this or as Google Books etc, you need to give a reference to the book as a book, and then add the web link, rather than just giving a web link. Nomination of Christel Bankewitz for deletion

edit

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Christel Bankewitz is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Christel Bankewitz until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article.

Addition to formal notice: I am sorry to seem unwelcoming like this, but Wikipedia is quite selective about article subjects, the main inclusion criterion being called Wikipedia:Notability, which looks for references showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." In my view these articles would qualify for speedy deletion under WP:CSD#A7 no credible claim of significance or importance, but as you have written a number of them I am nominating this one at AfD to get the community's view. Your comments are welcome at the discussion, but I suggest that you read WP:Notability and WP:DISCUSSAFD first.

This may seem abrupt, but there were a lot of these guards, and I do not want you to waste time producing more articles of this type only to see them all deleted.

It occurs to me that "Female concentration camp guards" as a general subject might be a valid article subject you could try.

Proposed deletion of Gerda Bork

edit

The article Gerda Bork has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The coverage (references, external links, etc.) does not seem sufficient to justify this article passing Wikipedia:General notability guideline and the more detailed Wikipedia:Notability (biographies) requirement. If you disagree and deprod this, please explain how it meets them on the talk page in the form of "This article meets criteria A and B because..." and ping me back. Thank you,

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Please read this policy carefully, and consider the comment by Poeticbent at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Christel Bankewitz. That editor has created a number of articles about Nazi criminals, if you'd like a mentor interested in those topics, I encourage you to reach out to him. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 06:47, 18 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
