Speedy deletion of Prillen/XEB/test.js edit

Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. TNX-Man 14:20, 13 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi Tnxman307. I just wonder why my test is to be deleted? I'm new in the "behind wikipedia" or what you could call it. I just came over User:MarkS/Extra_edit_buttons and wanted to try it since I'm at the no.wp where many editbottons are missing (in my opinion).
And I also wonder why a subpage under my own userpage are to be deleted!?! Is it interfeering wikipedia somehow? Regards Prillen (talk) 14:26, 13 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Prillen. You have new messages at Jac16888's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.
No problem. I'm glad it got cleared up for you. If you ever have any questions, let me know. Cheers! TNX-Man 12:04, 14 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sailing faster than the wind edit

Dear Prillen, you have not yet replied to my query regarding deletion of the thought experiments, please see Talk:Sailing_faster_than_the_wind#Deleted_thought_experiment. Orphaned non-free image File:COP16 Logo.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:COP16 Logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Proposed deletion of Steam to oil ratio edit

The article Steam to oil ratio has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unreferenced

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ●Mehran Debate● 12:42, 22 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

images edit

He Prillen, I just reverted your re-insertion of fair use images at UNFCC, as I think they do not qualify under wp:Fair use (they are not there to represent teh main point of the article, nor are the logo's itself subject to/suitable for critical evaluation). I was a bit disturbed however by the enourmous wall of text the bot left at your talk page and asked its owner to think of a way to warn int he future about a single notification... Just wanted to let you know! L.tak (talk) 09:00, 4 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Notability edit

I marked New Small Family with a notability tag because it doesn't seem to meet the criteria for Wikipedia:Notability. For example, I'm not sure any of the linked independent sources (not VW), even used the term "New Small Family". ENeville (talk) 23:32, 22 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Re "independent sources" and notability, from Wikipedia:Notability:
This page in a nutshell: Wikipedia articles cover notable topics—those that have gained sufficiently significant attention by the world at large and over a period of time, and are not outside the scope of Wikipedia. We consider evidence from reliable independent sources to gauge this attention. The notability guideline does not determine the content of articles, but only whether the topic should have its own article.
ENeville (talk) 16:11, 23 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
I suggest you acquaint yourself with the Wikipedia:Notability guideline. The issue is whether the article is notable. The independent sources (or lack thereof) are how we establish that criterion verifiably. Even if the article is not notable, the information contained may still have a place in another article, such as Volkswagen. ENeville (talk) 00:25, 24 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
I thought we were discussing the nature of WP:Notability generally. A specific discussion as to whether the article meets notability criteria should be on the article's Talk page, where other editors would expect to find it. I will review the worthiness of the tag and comment there as appropriate. ENeville (talk) 17:05, 26 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
