Hi Pragmatically,

Please refrain from adding the commercial link from the carpet cleaning article. Advertising commercial interests is against Wikipedia guidelines. If you restore the link (or similar), you will be reported for abuse.

Thanks, cmɢʟeeτaʟκ 17:50, 15 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hey,
I thought it was useful because it gave people a way to find a carpet cleaner (which is really one of the biggest reasons they visited the page).
Further, the site is not selling any products.
Cheers,

Thanks for your speedy reply and clarification, Pragmatically. While I appreciate that you may be trying to be helpful to people who want to clean their carpets, Wikipedia is meant to be an encyclopedia, not a how-to guide. I think WikiHow is a much more suitable place for your contribution. Thanks for your understanding! cmɢʟeeτaʟκ 18:42, 16 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

This is your last warning. The next time you use Wikipedia for soapboxing, promotion or advertising, as you did at carpet cleaning, you may be blocked from editing without further notice.

This is your only warning; if you insert a spam link to Wikipedia again, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines.TMCk (talk) 18:59, 5 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
