Orphaned fair use image (Image:AmritaRao.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:AmritaRao.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Vijay article

Hey dude if the picture in the Vijay article is not free, then what is?? Most of the photos of Vijay, and for that matter almost everything, are from the Internet only. You don't expect us to knock on his door and get a photo of him do you? Please explain what is possibly wrong with that photo and what you define as a "free photo". Thanks in advance man! -Vijay

Re: Tree marriages

Lol, I'm truly as baffled as you are. This is the first time I'm hearing of such a thing too. I could find 26 different news sources on google that talk about this. No discourtesy to anyone, but I couldn't help but laugh out loud the first time I read it. I'm honestly surprised someone like Ash would do such a thing. But then, I also found this news report on CNN-IBN, where Amitabh Bachan denies any astrological problems for Ash. *me shrugs* Maybe as the case proceeds, more information would become available. --thunderboltz(Deepu) 10:20, 4 February 2007 (UTC) PS: I'm doing much better now. Thank you. I'm thinking of continuing on with the wikibreak for a bit longer, however.

Hello Friend

May I ask who destroyed the Ajith articles because it looks a mess, I for one is very disturbed by it's current state.

Happy Editing my goo friend ur present is waiting

I'll give it to you on Valentine's day

Good Point

I don't mean to single out a person but User:Anwar_saadat I believe seems to be adding false information about box office details of Ajith films, as he is a fan he is trying to make ajith seem larger than life. His opening page for Aalwar was up for deletion recently as it was clearly not necessary.

I believe he makes some good edits but mostly unneccessary ones, which makes the article seem written in a fans view!

Please let us discuss this issue further

I think pa_7 is verbally abusing me with another unknown user name to get back at me when I never used such language with her and if IMDB is not the format then, the way the film maker used the cast order as in the film should be the wisest choice to be displayed on wikipedia. I'll edit that. Thanks. Please make pa_7 understand. I know you get me. All she did was work on Zinta's references. How can she put 20 references in one day whereas where i put two for rani and they are taken back. She's unfair. - shez_15 —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Shez 15 (talkcontribs) 03:25, 6 February 2007 (UTC).

Correct

You are right miss Plumcouch. We shall gradually start on the project and maybe get it to be like Madhavan's article, as it has improved from past times.

I like the ideas you put forth, hopefully together with the help of various other editers we shall improve the article!

==Preetam?==

Can you find out if Preity's first real name is Preetam? There's nothing on the internet though because she never blurted it out. It's such a sweet name and I think we should put real names on the page as Mukherjee. I believe I found it somewhere on the net that it's Preetam, but nothing official on it. If she is Sikh, which she is, then it must be Preetam because I have a friend who is Sikh and her name is Preetam too. But people call her Preity. Thanks! I don't know if you can find out but I think we can only find answers going to Mumbai. Heheheee... Though, it's not important, it would be good to know! - shez_15 —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Shez 15 (talkcontribs) 00:56, 25 February 2007 (UTC).

==Confirmed==

I just watched the Filmfare Awards 1998 yesterday and I saw Gul Panang give away Best Female Debut to Preity Zinta and it was not called Lux. Lux was an old sponsor till 1994. Then it became a part of Zee Cine Awards. If you notice Zinta won Lux New Face for Zee not Filmfare. We just called it debut here on wikipedia since it's confusing. Another thing: No debut has won two awards for best debut twice up until recently when they started treating debuts with some importance. Like Vidya Balan and Kangana on Filmfare. The Filmfare Awards site is not even a proper site, otherwise it would be updated for the new 2007 awards but it's not. Go see Preity's own site which states she won Best Debut and nothing on Lux: http://www.preityzintaworld.com/ Thanks! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 70.71.210.183 (talk) 01:59, 28 February 2007 (UTC).

How's it going? Just wanted to tell you that this user: 77.124.12.104 is violation Rani's page by removing references for no reason. Plz do something. I think he/she should be blocked bcoz this guy or girl is not helping wikipedia, just deleting stuff instead. He's vandalizing. == Filmfare Awards ==

Hey, I think we should change the dates for the Filmfare Awards. It shows dates of film release not when the award ceremony was held or when the recipient won. It's confusing for some because all other awards are managed how they're supposed to be with years ceremony held not for which year the awards are given. I'll ask Zora and Pa_7 too. - shez_15 —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Shez 15 (talkcontribs) 23:57, 4 March 2007 (UTC).

Persondata template at Amrita Rao

Hey, I was the one who added the {{Persondata}} template to the Amrita Rao page. However, I see you have been removing it (I think twice now!). However, I think it should be added — not just there but all biography articles. The template does not show up on the rendering on the article but it is very helpful for automated processing of articles. It exposes certain metadate (defined by the fields) in a specific format (in that sense it can be thought of as a microformat). So, when an automated program (like search engine spiders) analyzes Wikipedia content, it wont be just a text index but it will know certain info about the content - like what other names the person is known by, years active, age etc etc, which it can use to refine search hits. Also, if it is present, pages can be analyzed better - like an SQL query can pull up living people born after certain date. Since an article has no specific schema, without Persondata, it is very hard to do such analyses. I suggest you reconsider. --soum (0_o) 21:54, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

And you might consider archiving this page. Cheers. :)--soum (0_o) 21:55, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

Please let know the reasons before removing an added image. That image comes under fair use and perfectly usable in article. Thanks Gnanapiti 22:04, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

That's very interesting. I've come across tons of articles which use fair use images in those templates. But it certainly looks like fair use images can't be used in the template as you have pointed out. I'll contact an admin and let's see what he has to say. Thanks for bringing this up. Hi

Hey Plumcouch! Been long since we talked, how were the exams? Have you seen Rani Mukherjee's page lately? There's a war going on between User:Shez 15 (for Rani Mukherjee) and User:Shshshsh (for Preity Zinta). I've been having a look at their conversations between each other. There's arguments over well EVERYTHING! I've got a problem with the section titled polls that Shez 15 put on Mukherjee's page. I added a message on WP:INCINE requesting opinions on this section, could you have a look and add your comments? I've stayed away from both Zinta's and Mukherjee's pages for now and worked on some other articles eg I added some sources for Juhi Chawla's page. I really want to expand Shabana Azmi's, Nandita Das's and Madhuri Dixit's pages. It's a shame because they are such brilliant actresses and there's not much on them. I'll do those pages after I come back. Im taking a break so I can finish my university work. Should be back for May 07 but knowing me I won't be able to keep away from editing! Take care. Best regards -- Pa7 16:42, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

Unspecified source for Image:Madhuri Dixit.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Madhuri Dixit.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 22:26, 16 April 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Spundun 22:26, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

hey there

Hi Plumcouch,

I've seen your work all over and your contributions to the Bollywood pages are massive.

One page I saw you help out on was Shah Rukh Khan. I was just wondering, when are we supposed to archive a talk page?

I'm asking because as of now there are only about one or two sub-headings that are active or need to be looked at, the rest are all awards inclusions or other such discussions which have already been completed. These could be archived, I think, since they make the talk page pretty big - 59 kb, as of now. Archiving the page also wouldn't affect anything else, since they are all old discussions.

So then should I archive the older discussions and leave the newer or relevant ones on the talk page? Or should I wait until the page is a bit larger? If I should wait, then what size of the page (approximately) should I archive it around?

I was just curious, and I thought you'd be the best person to ask :)

Thanks for the advice about SRK's page, it is much appreciated :)
As for Ajith Kumar, I just had a look at it. Its been protected, so we can't make any changes right now. The second they unprotect it, I'm game. It does need a re-work, and the section Personal life needs more or less a complete re-write. I'm all for it, I'll look more closely at the article and its talk page after dinner.
Looking forward to working with you,
Regards,

Hello!

Hi my name is Shahid. I just turn to you for 2 things. Firstly, you have tagged the Background section of Rani Mukherjee`s page under several unsourced tags - [citation needed]. Shez 15 has already put the required references. There is only one, but he just preferred to use only one above one singular source in every single sentence.

Secondly, User Yamla was repeatedly saying to another users that fair use images (Promotional, movie shoots etc.) are not allowed to depict a living person in his page, and are not allowed to be used in an actor\actress pages. Consequently, She has removed the images from Kajol`s page (which was uploaded by you, by the way), Preity Zinta, Rani etc. Could you please explain how is that the promotional image in Madhuri Dixit`s page allowed? Best regards --Shshshsh 13:33, 18 April 2007 (UTC)

Unfortunately, my knowledge in these terms is very small. My only request is please if you have some way to do it, find some images for Preity Zinta`a and Rani Mukherjee`s pages. I don`t understand in this issue as well as you do, so if you find something which is matching WP and not violating its policy, please add. Best Regards --Shshshsh 14:17, 18 April 2007 (UTC)

Thanks!

Thank you, but writing, fixing and creating articles is definitely satisfies me. I don`t want to get into troubles with that. I just asked you to add some images, if you could. If you can`t, it`s OK. Anyway thanks. If my user name is a little difficult for you to spell, you can call me Shahid. Best regards --Shshshsh 14:27, 18 April 2007 (UTC)

It`s OK

I have to apologize for my unpleasant talking tone. It`s OK. My words haven`t been directed to your side. There were some another users, who were messing the cast, removing Rani and putting SRK instead, who doesn`t even appear in the film. So I`m sorry. Best regards. --Shshshsh 20:17, 18 April 2007 (UTC)

P.S: By the way Plumcouch. I`d like to ask you for a little advice. I`d like to create a new section in Preity Zinta`s page for both the tour stages, the cannes film festival and the Filmfare hosting, removing it from the career section. But I have no idea for a section title. Do you have some idea for a new section title for them? It`s just so superfluous in the career section. If you have, please tell me. If you don`t, thanks anyway. --Shshshsh 20:25, 18 April 2007 (UTC)

THANKS!

hEY thanks for your beautiful edits on Rani's page. By the way, I was just thinking about the family background section and I think that reference number 4 is for the whole paragraph and it should not be put after every sentence rather only in the end because it looks unorganized when the same reference is used again and again after each sentence. Plus, I think you should also edit on Preity's page because it also needs to be toned down way too much. After each sentence, there is appreciation and over the top language. Please look after it. Thanks! - shez_15

hey there

Hi Plumcouch,

  • I archived the SRK talk's old topics, I'd be grateful if you could have a look and tell me if its alright.
  • Please have a look at Preity Zinta if you have time. I'm concerned that in removing trivia and putting them in other sections, actually the article is turning into a puddle of confusion. We'll probably need a re-write of the awards section as well, since it looks more or less strange. What do you think?
  • Tom Cruise and Angelina Jolie both have very well-developed articles. Perhaps the Bollywood bios need direction in going the same way. Any suggestions about this?

None of the things I messaged you about are really urgent, but I'd appreciate your inputs on these.

Regards,xC | 08:01, 19 April 2007 (UTC)

Rani Mukherjee

The Rani Mukherjee page is turning into a bit of circus. I fixed headings and shifted content around to make it more organised but Shshshsh and Shez keep changing things back to their versions of it. Please have a look at the page history when you have the time. I believe my version was more organised than the mindless partial-revert that Shshshsh did. Regards,xC | 04:33, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

Aye, good to be back :) Thanks for the note on Michaelas10's talk, I appreciate it. Drop by on my talk page when you have time, I replied to your note and added a few suggestions for Preity Zinta. Thanks xC | 17:21, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

Hello!

Plumcouch sorry but the headlines of this user weren`t good at all. The first topic which was titled 1992-1997 can`t be placed under the Career section. Rani didn`t start her career in 92. That`s ridiculous. As per the reference she had only a little cameo which is considered as nothing or nothing that could be in the career section as the beginning of an actor`s career at least. Apart from it. This film does not appear in imdb so we can`t rely on this reference. Imdb is the central source of cinema in all over the world. That`s why this title can`t be posted there. Don`t you agree with me?

And why do we need this protection status. Fore what? we can resolve those problems in a professional way. Anyway.. Please respond me. Thanks. Best Regards --Shshshsh 12:17, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

Hi again!

Yes, I know. Formerly, SRK was part of the cast of London Dreams in IMDB, but when they just announce the film they post the most recent news and data items. However, untill the film releases, they always remark this note "Since this project is categorized as being in production, the data is subject to change; some data could be removed completely." So it`s OK. The matter is that sooner or later, after the film releases, there are no mistakes or misses of films. So we definitely can rely on it. This is the most reliable source we have on the net. Don`t you agree with me in this case?

I don`t intend to remove this movie from the article. Not at all. Just to notice that we could never use this movie as the beginning of her career, cause this source is the only one. Apart from it, Rani is always saying that her first film was RKAB in 1996. She has never mentioned Biyar Pool. By the way, there is no way to use this film for writing in the Info Box that her years active are 1992-present, because this will be a really false information. Tell me what do you think Please. Best Regards --Shshshsh 15:46, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

Response

I really don`t know whether she was in the film or not. As I said, my intent is to remove it from the career section cause it`s very unnecessary in this particular section. it`s not the beginning of her career. It could be just a little note at the most, as Shez_15 intended. Just to note, if this film remains in the career section (which is the most notable section of the main article), there will be a big contradiction between WP and the other net sources, which neither Shez nor me and you, wanted to happen.

I just know for sure, this is the only source which marks that she made a cameo in this film (If the film exists at all). I have also looked for this film on the net and found zero results related to Rani or her father. Yes, Rani hasn`t mentioned this film in any of her interviews or appearances. She always says her first film was RKAB. Like in KWK, she said "Preity came two years after me", which of course means that she made her debut in 1996. Every other actor who started his career as a child actor, has reference on it. whether it is Rekha, Sridevi, Hrithik or even Sonu Nigam. Firstly, I thought, Why Rani, who is younger than them and is one of the most popular actresses today, doesn`t have it? I think if she had done a cameo in this film it nevertheless would have cited, if not in IMDB, so in another reliable source like Indiafm or whatever. So I don`t know. I suggest you to look for it, and then to make your decisive edits. Best Regards --Shshshsh 16:34, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

Now about Preity Zinta, I know that you want to change completely her page, but please pay attention to some important requests. I dare to ask you that because I have worked very hard on this page. If you look the history page of Preity you`ll see that I dedicated myself for hours to expand the page.

  • Firstly, please be fair in your edits, and before editing be sure that things you`re removing or changing in Preity`s page won`t remain in Rani`s page, like the awards for example, cause it will be very unfair.
  • Please don`t remove the good friends. What`s wrong with that? these facts are quite good as they constitute part of her personal life + they are sourced in a very precise way.
  • I know the popularity title is a little bit strange cause I did it very briefly and didn`t have time to think on good title. I just wanted to integrate the trivia facts as briefly as possible into the main article, so I think your idea for a new title is very nice. However, its facts in it are correct, referenced and important.
  • I tried to make a good, organized look for the awards section. Please don`t revert my ideas (I mean the wins and nominations in incorporated sections). It`s very important to me.
  • I don`t know why do you thing the career section is "woefully inadequate". I worked hard on it. To be honest, it was quite offensive comment to hear since I worked very hard on it. That`s truth, the so much grossing notes are a bit unnecessary but the popularity, YRF fact, the Veer Zaara grossing in a row fact, the DHT and KK appreciation etc. are very important. If you take a look on Rani`s career page, you`ll see that her page is full of admiration way more than Preity`s, although I like Rani too (as you could see before).
  • I don`t know if the TV appearances are bad or good, but we`re talking about notable appearances. KWK, KBC and Indian Idol for example have their own pages here on WP.
  • And it will give me a lot of happiness if you expand the controversies section, which has only one little paragraph for every case.

I hope you won`t get angry after reading my requests and won`t consider it as insolence from my side. Best Regards. --Shshshsh 18:43, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

Hello Plumcouch. I was skimming by today and thought I'd see what everyone is up to. With the whole Abhishek-Aishwarya wedding I was keeping an eye as there might be some fans who may go a bit OTT. I saw Preity Zinta's, Rani Mukherjee's and Kareena Kapoor's pages -- what a huge mess. All of a sudden awards now have a big relevance in a person's life!! I read what you proposed for both Zinta's and Mukherjee's pages and I totally agree on what your saying. I think I'll be able to come back by next week if I get my assignments done! If you need any help with both these articles then Im ready to help out. Best regards. -- Pa7 23:50, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

Rani's movie is referenced

Honey, Biyar Phool is referenced. Again, it can not be taken as her first movie as it was a cameo when she was 14. Biyar Phool was a small budgeted movie in Bengali directed by Rani's father. It doesn't even classify as a Bollywood movie. But it is simply written down in her early life section to show that her father taught her. -shez_15

Hey, you read my mind! I've left my comment on Zinta's discussion page. Thought I'd say something now, or else I won't get the time later on. Will keep checking for updates on the debate. Best regards. -- Pa7 00:10, 21 April 2007 (UTC)

Dil Hai Tumhara

First of all thanks for being nice! Here is the copy of my message posted by me in Zinta`s discussion page. I just want to make sure you`ll read it so I put it here too.

"Don't you think that if she hadn't had appreciation for DHT in 2002 she wouldn't have been signed for her next high profile films? One more thing is that people who read this career section may wonder how can it be possible that after 2001 successes we jump into the 2003 year without any mention of 2002. We can't ignore 2002. this film was definitely an important milestone in her career. If it had been bad performance by her she wouldn't have made KHNH, KMG and Armaan. I know it makes me like an obsessed fan of Preity but it's not like this. I just want to create a logical and chronological order.

More than that, some Hollywood actors may have only 10 films in career of 5 years, and they have huge unbelievable career sections, including every film in the section. --Shshshsh 09:57, 21 April 2007 (UTC)"

PS: and tell me please what`s your opinion on Biyar Pool.

Why in the world does zie believe we are ignoring 2002's movies done by her?
What does the part on Hollywood actors work to? What is the point of that statement, what is zie trying to prove or suggest about the content?
I am left perplexed... xC | 18:02, 21 April 2007 (UTC)

Rani Mukherjee

You might want to have a look at Rani Mukherjee. Theres a good bit of discussion happening there.

Mukherjee and Zinta

Hey there,

I saw no edits from you in the past few days, so I thought I'd drop by with an update. Zinta has been locked over a revert war and there have been substantial additions to Mukherjee. Massive discussions have taken place on both pages. Mukherjee still needs inputs from editors other than the ones involved, while on Zinta Shshshsh and I (revert war involved) have reached some sort of an agreement. I compromised on the Zinta page so that progress of the page isn't slowed down by irrelevant issues, although I'm still concerned about whats slated for inclusion there. Full discussions can be found on their respective talk pages.

Both pages have seen a good bit of activity in the last few days, thought you might want to have a look whenever you're free.

Best regards,xC | 16:49, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

Rani's Name

Hey! Could you please go on Rani's discussion page and approve of her name change to Rani Mukerji since it is her legal name now and the name she uses in her films. Thanks. - shez_15 —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 70.71.210.183 (talk) 22:34, 2 May 2007 (UTC).

Copyright Laws

You mentioned in a reply to someone regarding links to fan sites, that most of the sites violate copyright laws by displaying pictures which don't have copyright information. How does one figure out whether the site is abiding by the laws ? Also, once images of movies and stars come in the public domain ( through movie posters etc), aren't they available for anyone and everyone to download and use ?

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Movieposter Baabul.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Movieposter Baabul.jpg. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Aksibot 02:46, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

Hey there

Hi!

How've you been?

I've found that a lot of the things that so many editors discuss again and again is due to the simple reason we don't have a clear set of policies and/or guidelines related to filmbios.

I don't profess to be an expert on the subject. However heres a page of some of the problems I've come across - User:Xcentaur/Sandbox2. I'd appreciate your comments on its talk page and any suggestions how to get the community to discuss this further.

Thanks,xC | 13:33, 9 June 2007 (UTC)

Cast

Hi dear Plumcouch! I know you're very busy.

I just wanted to ask you, when you'll be here please do something with cast. As you said and as I think, IMDB is not good template anymore. Supporting actors come b4 leading, like in case of Veer-Zaara, and I really think it's unfair. We have to do something. Best regards, --Shshshsh 21:09, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

I told you Plumcouch to go as per the film director's listing of cast as in the movie. But you guys wanted IMDB. For now, IMDB is it. But if we move to another source than the film casting as in the film for only the lead actors should be as on wikipedia. Best Regards. - shez_15

Non-free use disputed for Image:Yaadein_cover.jpg

  This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Yaadein_cover.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read carefully the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content and then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 20:28, 21 June 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:AkshayKumar.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:AkshayKumar.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Replaceable fair use Image:Rimi.jpg

Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Rimi.jpg. I noticed the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if not used in an article), per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Hello!

Hi Plum remember me? That's me Shahid/Shshshsh. Are you back on Wiki? --ShahidTalk2me 18:52, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

Yeh a lot of work is being done. I'm mainly working on the Preity Zinta article, trying to promote it to a FA status. I wish you all the best, and am really happy to see you here my friend. Best regards, --ShahidTalk2me 19:16, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

Hi. Yes I have done alot of work obtianing that license and I've done a massive amount of work in uploading but unfortunately many are questioning it as it does seem too good to be true. I was told by the Director of Caledonian Publishing that "all images published on that site are exclusively owned by Caledonian publishing who employs a very large number of photographers based in Mumbai. The majority of images are indeed their own and they often employ photographers on the set of the films etc in which they are permitted entry to snap the actors on set - it is kind of an exclusive understanding -which I was over the moon when they told me willing to let wikipedia use them. However I do see that due to the massive number of images on the site obivously things like film posters which they use etc are copywrighted as are certain screenshots when the blog is discussing content of something etc. But I can guarantee from what I was told by the director the vast majority are created by their own photographers. We do need to be careful over certain images though, most notably screenshots or posters as these are most likely owned by the film company. It has a massive number of images and most as far as I am told are legitimate ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 23:34, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

I think I've done a great job in obtaining the license and doing so much work to add these images. From what I've seen often they employ are whole band of photographers which reflects in the tens of photos available often for one event. Its a big media thing operating in Mumbai ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 23:42, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

For instance see Image:Life in a…Metro1.jpg. This was an image taken by their photographers on set. You can see the people in the background looking at them during the break in filming so it quite clear they have people there at the filming sides. This sort of images adequately gives the same information as screenshots but you can tell it isn't a screenshot ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 23:46, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

I think it is some of the clear images on that site which are most likely not fully owned by them. Most of the images have the Bollywood blog watermark. This however makes finding nice images difficult ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 23:50, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

Ah there we go I was wondering why Bollywood had suddenly removed some of those images from their site that were there before. That one of Salman Khan which was from india fm has now been replaced with one of their own. See Salman Khan now I added the replacament. They realise they have an obligation to be entirely the copywright holders now ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 00:01, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

how dare you take down that picture off of the assassin's creed page. people have the right to know. that is a nitrogen-oxygen heterocycle, and i want to know what its for. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.11.84.204 (talk) 07:00, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

Hello, anon.
The picture you are referring to is tagged as "Public Domain". However, the copyright belongs to Ubisoft, therefore it cannot be tagged as "Public Domain" unless Ubisoft itself releases it as such. Making a screenshot of a copyrighted media does not make the creator of said screeny the copyright owner. You may want to consult Wikipedia:Fair_use for further information. The shadow woman is Jade Raymond from an interview (as seen http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oDWabHnSxtg here) - furthermore, Hydrogen can only connect twice, not thrice, as shown on the picture. I don't see how is any evidence for anything genetics-related. Best regards, --Plumcouch Talk2Me 15:04, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

Lol, yes the chiranjeevi page does get messy pretty quick. I just had a minor tiff there over the filmography. There seem to be a few editors who keep trying to put in a lot of unnecessary information into the table. Hello

How have you been Plum? Oh I don't feel your presence here. That upsets me because you're one of my favorite editors here. Anyway, I noticed your support to the Preity Zinta article. Do you remember the days we were trying to improve that? Well, at some point I decided to stop dealing with other nonsenses and expand it with encyclopedical content, using other FAs as role models. So thank you for your supports. Some editors are helping us to improve it further right now. I wish you all the best. Best regards, ShahidTalk2me 01:06, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for your kind words! Yes Zora is so excellent. It's a pitty that she has left the encyclopedia. She is one of the greatest editors ever been on Wikipedia, and again, one of my favorites. But she visited Wikipedia one month ago, and according to her, she is OK.
No, never thought of this, to be very honest. I don't aspire to become an admin. It's a really hard task, and I'm sure that there will be many people who will oppose to my promotion. Btw, I'm sure that you would be a brilliant administrator if you wanted to. You're doing a terrific job, reverting vandalism, warning anons who make vandalism, and additionally --- you're one of the nicest editors here. I've never seen you speaking rudely to someone, and as you told me once back in time "I never get angry" (I can't forget that). I would really be happy if you were an administrator here. You are the most indicated and suitable editor for that. Would you want to become an administrator? Best regards, ShahidTalk2me 01:29, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
I personally think that you are one of the best all the way, regardless of how many edits you have and how much experience you have. I think your English is flawless, and reading your discussions, nobody can actually guess that your native lang is German. And actually it doesn't matter whatsoever.
We generally speak English at home, but I'm not a native speaker basically. In India, English is a very spread language. I left India in 2006, and have been living here for almost one year and eight months. How's life going in Germany? Best regards, ShahidTalk2me 01:56, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
Couldn't help but notice your last message to Xcentaur. I've corrected Chiranjeevi's table. Yet, I must've tagged it as it doesn't follow Wikipedia's Manual of Style. Best regards, ShahidTalk2me 02:11, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
I'm a Jewish Indian, yes, there are not many Jews in there actuallt. My father is a businessman. I was born in 1987 in Israel, becuase my parents were there at that time (they were born in India). In 1991 we left Israel becuase of the pogroms and came back to my India. I've lived Kolkata and Mumbai. Though I do understand Hindi, we have always spoken English, and I don't speak. My parents do. They are educated, my pa is a businessman. I have all the features of an Indian, (For example, I can't refer to adult people without adding ji, I listen Ghazals, and I do speak a bit Hindi overall, and... my mom wears Saris!!!;)). In March 2006 we left to Melbourne. A nice place, one of the most beautiful cities in the world. But I didn't visit many places in Australia. but I miss Indiaaaa!!!! And BTW, there are so many Indians here. I'm an Indian and that's my place, but personal circumstances force me to stay here. Best regards, ShahidTalk2me 02:29, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
