"word replacement for non-standard English words." edit

I'm not clear what you meant by that edit summary. Are you not aware of different varieties of English with different spellings, eg British "centre" vs American "center"? We have a guideline at WP:ENGVAR on this that we ask editors to follow, so I'd appreciate it if you read our guideline and follow it in the future. Thanks. A couple things edit

In Wikipedia terms, a minor edit is one that has zero potential to be controversial and does not involve the addition or removal of text or links. As an example, correcting "coler" to "color" is minor; changing spelling from one variety of English to another, say "colour" to "color", is usually not minor as it may alter the way the article presents information.

Also, when you add text in parentheses, make sure to separate the preceding text with a space:

  Mice like cheddar(a type of cheese).
  Mice like cheddar (a type of cheese).

Thanks for your contributions, and happy editing! Ibadibam (talk) 23:56, 10 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Conflict of interest in Wikipedia - discussion please? edit

Hi Pk.kimemia I work on conflict of interest issues here in Wikipedia. Due to your your creation of 160 Ann Street, Brisbane, your editing has come to the attention of the folks who work, as I do, on conflict of interest. There has been a boatload of apparent paid editing on behalf of the Precision Group of late. This property is owned by them. I'm giving you notice of our Conflict of Interest guideline and Terms of Use, and will have some comments and requests for you below.

  Hello, Pk.kimemia. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your circle, your organization, its competitors, projects or products;
  • instead propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you.

Comments and requests edit

Wikipedia is a widely-used reference work and managing conflict of interest is essential for ensuring the integrity of Wikipedia and retaining the public's trust in it. As in academia, COI is managed here in two steps - disclosure and a form of peer review. Please note that there is no bar to being part of the Wikipedia community if you want to be involved in articles where you have a conflict of interest;; there are just some things we ask you to do (and if you are paid, some things you need to do).

Disclosure is the most important, and first, step. While I am not asking you to disclose your identity (anonymity is strictly protecting by our WP:OUTING policy) would you please disclose if you have some connection with the Precision Group, or people working for them? You can answer how ever you wish (giving personally identifying information or not), but if there is a connection, please disclose it. After you respond (and you can just reply below), perhaps we can talk a bit about editing Wikipedia, to give you some more orientation to how this place works. Please reply here - I am watching this page. Thanks! Jytdog (talk) 05:08, 5 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Hi, it has been a while since I used the account for anything other than the publication of the information in this page(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/160_Ann_Street,_Brisbane). I am a private contractor hired to publish the information and therefore there is no conflict of interest as I am not affiliated to any information communicated therein. This account is not a socket puppet and I am not using any multiple accounts.If there were any edits that seem related to my activities, it maybe from my client from my freelance services. If my activities do violate any policy kindly advice to so I can avoid similar incidences in the future. Kindly unblock my account so that I can continue to be a contributor in this great community. Thank you. Best Regards, Pk.kimemia (talk) 09:44, 14 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

"I am a private contractor hired to publish the information" This is the very definition of conflict of interest! You are violating WP:COI and WP:PAID. We aren't interested in having you do this. The sockpuppetry investigation says this better than I can: "bear in mind that in cases of paid editing, editing by affiliation, or editing by coordination, the users will often be separate individuals. That doesn't make their behavior any more acceptable". Yamla (talk) 10:13, 14 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
