Christopher Kaelin edit

No personal relationship exists between any editor on the article. your application of random templates is unwarranted and presented with no evidence. The opinion about a properly referenced primary sourced block-quote is discussed on the talk page and has no consensus for removal. It is also not policy. Please stop this activity. I will look for the NPOV that you have called out.

I hope to work with you on the project under different circumstances soon. All my best User:Lightburst 15:03, 27 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

This reply proves Lightburst is a liar. Lightburst claimed that he had taken a personal photograph of said individual at their wedding while above he claimed no have no personal relationship. Lying about taking that photo showed it was yet another copyright violation by Lightburst, complete with a false claim of ownership of someone else's work. To hide his latest violation Lightburst proceeded to rename his account, make false accusations of outing and slander others whilst giving them no avenue of redress. He also did the equivalent of taking his bat and ball and going home. The above article no longer exists because after rudely and aggressively claiming clear notability of said subject he proceeded to call himself a liar and nominated the article for deletion on the grounds of non notability. duffbeerforme (talk) 13:27, 9 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Tagging pages for deletion edit

Hello, Duffbeerforme,

Just a reminder, when you tag a page for any type of deletion (CSD, PROD, AFD/RFD/CFD/etc.), it is advised that you post a notification on the talk page of the page creator. This is typically done by making use of Twinkle, an editing tool used by almost all page patrollers and most administrators. Once you set up your Twinkle Preferences to "Notify page creator", when you tag a page for deletion using Twinkle, the program will post a notification on your behalf. Twinkle has a lot of other handy features, you can tag articles for problems they contain, report vandals to noticeboards, welcome editors, post talk page warnings for all sorts of issues, Twinkle will even maintain deletion logs for you if you'd like to keep track of those things. I encourage you to try it out. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 00:40, 7 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Eric West in "Matthews" edit

You have a weird obsession with Eric West. If his role was minor, he was all over TV promoting it. They send out actors to promote minor roles?

Dylan Clarke edit

Hi, if you're going to revert any edits, as you did on Dylan Clarke, please have a civil or sensible reason for doing it, saying it's "bs" or "bull s#!t" or using any other expletive language is not reasonable.

The fact of the matter was that it was such a very embarrassing loss for Carlton which resulted in Brendon Bolton losing his job, and Patrick Cripps would be held liable for his abysmal performance.

On that end, I would also like to know which AFL club you support, if any. If it was Carlton, I would not be surprised. Avatar5991 (talk) 00:13, 11 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi, if you're going to revert any edits, as you did on Dylan Clarke, please have a civil or sensible reason for doing it, reverting just because an edit summary says "bs" or "bull s#!t" is not reasonable.
I had a very sensible and reasonable reason. The claim was bull shit. It was not supported by the source. The source simply did not mention Clarke. That one loss alone did not result in Bolton's sacking. Clarke's performance was not the sole reason for Carlton's poor performance (amongst other things 7 Bombers had more possessions than the best performing Blue, Clarke was not one of them). You can't just make shit up and put it in. If sources claim that the go for it but don't put original research into Wikipedia.
More importantly why did you revert me? Why did you choose to reinsert false information back into the article? Why did you reintroduce a challenged and unsourced claim into a BLP? Was it simply because I (didn't) swear? Seems like a stupid move if that's the case. duffbeerforme (talk) 00:39, 11 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Parkruns edit

Hi, Duff. There was, as you no doubt know, a solid consensus at Wikipedia:Deletion review/Log/2023 April 1 for overturning the speedy deletion of List of Parkruns in the United Kingdom and related articles, so I have closed the review accordingly. You may like to take the articles to AfD, or someone else may, since several other editors expressed support for doing so. I have no personal view as to whether the articles should be deleted or not. Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:32, 28 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Invitation edit

Hello Duffbeerforme, we need experienced volunteers.
  • New Page Patrol is currently struggling to keep up with the influx of new articles. We could use a few extra hands on deck if you think you can help.
  • Reviewing/patrolling a page doesn't take much time but it requires a good understanding of Wikipedia policies and guidelines; Wikipedia needs experienced users to perform this task and there are precious few with the appropriate skills. Even a couple reviews a day can make a huge difference.
  • Kindly read the tutorial before making your decision (if it looks daunting, don't worry, it basically boils down to checking CSD, notability, and title). If this looks like something that you can do, please consider joining us.
  • If you would like to join the project and help out, please see the granting conditions. You can apply for the user-right HERE.
  • If you have questions, please feel free to drop a message at the reviewer's discussion board.
  • Cheers, and hope to see you around.

Your ping edit

Sorry, I was offline for a few days. Regarding your query at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Robert Kee (lawyer), yes, Rick570 was exactly the editor I was thinking of. Schwede66 04:50, 23 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for confirming that. duffbeerforme (talk) 12:56, 28 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Would you like to join WikiProject Australian television? edit

Hi Duffbeerforme, our group, WikiProject Australian television, is currently recruiting additional editors to help edit the large project that is Australian TV. I was wondering whether you might consider joining us, since you work on Australian TV-related articles anyway. If you are interested, please add your name to the list of active participants, and see our list of open tasks. All the best, Lotsw73 (talk) 12:48, 20 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Faltu Engineers edit

Hello, Duffbeerforme,

Please use Twinkle to tag pages for any type of deletion (CSD, PROD, AFD/RFD/CFD/etc.). This will not only leave a descriptive edit summary but once you set your Twinkle Preferences to "Notify page creator", then Twinkle will post a notification on the talk page of the editor who created the page which is an important step in the deletion process. It's important to inform content creators when articles (or redirects, templates or categories) that they created are headed for deletion and the reason why. Most page patrollers and many admins use Twinkle daily because it makes editing so much easier, basically it has all of the templates you might need so you don't need to search for the appropriate one. It will allow you to easily tag articles for problems, report vandals to noticeboard, keep logs of your deletion tagging, welcome new editors, do so many tasks. I encourage you to try it out. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 04:19, 21 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
