Please create proper references for your sources. Although if you leave the bare URLs a bot or someone using "reFill" will come along and do something with them, it doesn't generate as good a reference as you would be able to do yourself with just a little bit of effort. Thus a "reFill" user turned "http://www.countrylife.co.uk/property/beautiful-country-house-and-estate-in-the-heart-of-the-surrey-hills-160606" into ""A beautiful country house and estate in the heart of the Surrey Hills". 23 June 2017.", but it should be more like ""A beautiful country house and estate in the heart of the Surrey Hills". You can't just take something out and call it "non notable". If we were talking about Lush Building, Oxford Street, sure, that's non-notable (and why we don't have an article on it), but in this instance it was added by an IP here and my general spider-senses told me that it was something the silent majority who don't normally edit WP might expect to find if they're looking in the article. - We should probably just change that section to "Properties". As to who made the original edit, it could just be somebody who bought something from there, and given the queue I found when I went in there Christmas shopping (good stocking fillers for female relatives), that's a whole bunch of people. I think also I was thinking about systemic bias a bit; shopping for fashionable personal hygiene artefacts isn't really something I think the stereotypical Wikipedian demographic do that much. - We are not really a shopping guide and three floors isn't much in that street. I don't feel strongly about it but doubt the average cosmetics shopper would bother to add it. Merja Makinen
Hello, I noticed you reverted my edits to Merja Makinen. I took a look back at my edit, and don't really understand why. The punctuation changes I made to the "selected publications" section are certainly unimportant (I didn't bother very hard to standardize that section anyway). However, the other changes I made were removing a red link to a nonexistent topic, correcting "twentieth century" (it doesn't take a hyphen in that usage), and removing the capital letters from a few parenthetical phrases which didn't need them. These are not terribly important corrections, but they are corrections, so I'm wondering why you didn't let them stand? - This often happens when multiple changes are made in one edit, some valid, some not, some purely stylistic choices. It might be better to split this sort of thing up. - It is nothing to do with the MOS as such, you appear to have misunderstood the purpose of the references section. It lists the sources and publications used in the body of the article. That is why including further reading inside references is a terrible idea, it confuses sources with non sources. Could you please check the exact date of death again? At Deaths in August 2017 he is listed at August 28 while the article states September 28. Both are referenced with the obituary in The Telegraph but unfortunately I cannot access the whole press article. Both obviously cannot be right so either the statement in Steven Marshall (Railtrack) has to be corrected or he should be listed in Deaths in September 2017 at September 28.
