Catahoula Cur edit

Hi, Phattums. I reverted your edits to Catahoula Cur because of the constant back and forth editing of the lede photo on this page. Your most recent edit was done despite my recent request on the article's talk page so please read over that discussion when you have time. I happen to prefer your image over the current one, but WP has a process that requires discussion and consensus and that is the process I would like to follow in this matter. (I realize that the process was not always followed on this page in the past but that pattern has led to the current situation in which the photos are constantly being reverted back and forth.) Please post your proposed image to the talk page and suggest that we select this image, as well as your reasons for wanting to change it. Valid reasons would include things like the image is a better representation of the breed, the image is of better quality, or the other image violates Wikipededia's image user policy. We will then discuss and vote. You may also want to review the manual of style when presenting your case for changing the lede image as it lays out specific criteria that you may find helpful. I just found your update to the article's talk page; I don't know if we edited simultaneously or if I just overlooked it. Anyway I would like to move all discussion there underneath your last comment. Sorry for any confusion, Dave (djkernen)|Talk to me|Please help! 14:16, 7 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

I've udated the pictures, didn't realize you had to vote or talk about anything. Please send me the link where I can vote. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bugaflee (talkcontribs) 18:05, 16 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

I've taken all my photos off, also tired of the back & forth. Please let me know if you want me to place them back, but that will also include the top photo. Thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bugaflee (talkcontribs) 22:04, 20 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Welcome: The Sequel edit

Hi, Brian. In the talk page for Catahoula Cur you asked about editing. As promised, I've totally spammed your talk page with the table of links above. FYI: an editor of a page is any Wikipedia editor who has made an edit to a page. (And a Wikipedia editor is any Wikipedia user who edits!) It's that simple; click on the Edit link and make your edit. Of course, like everything else here, it's not as simple as it sounds because in order for an edit to stick it must include a reliable source, maintain an encyclopedic tone and a neutral point of view, and all other manner of things as specified in the vast array of Wikipedia policies and guidelines. It should also adhere to the manual of style. I will update your talk page with links as this information does not belong in an article's talk page. Please note that simple changes such as fixing typos are pretty straight-forward and are a great way for new editors to get their feet wet. (In case you are wondering, you are an editor, as is anybody else with the inclination to be one.) I know that all of these policies are overwhelming and I don't want you to worry overmuch about them. If you intend to write a new article from scratch then you might need to consult them in depth but for a majority of edits you just need common sense and a grasp of the five pillars of Wikipedia.
