ArbCom 2017 election voter message edit

Hello, Patricia CV. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

December 2017 edit

Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to Camila (album), did not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Tell Me You Love Me (song) edit

"Influences of" is not particularly accepted by editors as a direct description of the genre of a work. A work can be influenced by something but not actually be that thing. Please find a source that directly describes the song as a soul and R&B song. Ss112 03:46, 30 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Your draft article, Draft:Thin Ice (TV series) edit

Hello, Patricia CV. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Thin Ice".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. --IJBall (contribstalk) 22:24, 3 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm MrX. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Dragon Club, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks for uploading File:Pop Star (film).jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:52, 10 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

Personal attacks edit

You have been warned multiple times, and even blocked once, for repeated accusations of calling people xenophobic and sexist without any evidence, or even explanation as to why.

Now, I'm fully against any forms of prejudice, and would actively support anyone who feels they were being targeted. But time and time again, you refuse to explain yourself. Which doesn't make sense. Why do you feel comfortable enough to make public accusations, but not enough to explain yourself?

Anyways, here we are again. You've made the following accusation of Ss112 - "You treat all women in wikipedia as dumb". Nothing in the page's edit history or his edit history shows anything readily evident to him saying anything sexist or anything about women at all.

Do you have any explanation or evidence for this accusation you've made? Sergecross73 msg me 21:00, 12 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

You are blocked until you explain yourself. (You can still edit your talk page). Sergecross73 msg me 22:05, 12 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

February 2018 edit

Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Meghan Trainor discography. Your edits could be interpreted as vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. Interlude 65 (Push to talk) 05:51, 20 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize pages by deliberately introducing incorrect information, as you did at Meghan Trainor, you may be blocked from editing. In case you didn't know already, there had been much discussion and debate over what to classify her self-released albums as, as she was obviously virtually unknown during those years; eventually, the consensus had been to just call them her independent albums. Proposed deletion of File:Grease Live Soundtrack.JPG edit

The file File:Grease Live Soundtrack.JPG has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-free album cover being used in a decorative manner in Grease Live!#Soundtrack. Non-free album cover art is generally allowed to be used for primary identification purposes in stand-alone articles about albums, but its use in other articles is generally only allowed when the cover art itself is the subject of sourced critical commentary as explained in WP:NFC#cite_note-3 and the context for non-free use required by WP:NFCC#8 is evident. There is no such commentary for this particular album cover anywhere in the article, and the use of soundtrack album cover art in articles about films or TV programs is generally not allowed for this reason as explained in WP:FILMSCORE.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- Marchjuly (talk) 03:27, 22 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Replaceable fair use File:Yvonne Elliman - I Don't Know How to Love Him.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Yvonne Elliman - I Don't Know How to Love Him.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.

You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Proposed deletion of File:Wild Child Soundtrack.jpg edit

The file File:Wild Child Soundtrack.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-free album cover being used in a decorative manner in Wild Child (film)#Soundtrack. There is no such commentary for this particular album cover anywhere in the article, and the use of soundtrack album cover art in articles about films or TV programs is generally not allowed for this reason as explained in WP:FILMSCORE and MOS:TVPRODUCTION.

-- Marchjuly (talk) 07:51, 9 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
