Your talk page comments edit

Welcome to Foxnews talk page. I have one favor to ask. Can you not indent your additions more than one level on one edit? It makes it confusing for other editors to follow the discussion, especially when the discussions get long (and at FNC...they will). I'll respond more fully to your post on the talk page tomorrow. I need a wiki break. Ramsquire (throw me a line) 01:31, 16 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

No problem. Thanks for looking out (OfForByThePeople 01:34, 16 January 2007 (UTC))Reply

Hi edit

Sorry I did not get back to you sooner, I was thinking about it for a long time. In any case I have been very busy here on Wikipedia and off. I would love to catch up and feel free to contact me. I do not have enough time to address all issues but I certainly have beliefs and am usually able to support them wikipedically. --Shamir1 06:30, 30 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fox News Channel edit

I discussed much of this with Blaxthos about much of this. In multiple instances I used sources already cited in the article under the same topic, so because I didn't enter in a reference it may have not shown to you that there was a reference. If you could look at what I wrote to Blaxthos and give me your feedback about what is nonsense and what is relevant I would appreciate it. I was kind of frustrated that Blaxthos reverted to the old article undoing much of the word I did to actually remove weasel words from the article; that's kinda counter productive.Chris 04:50, 9 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

This is the first time I ran into an issue like this. I didn't realize that there was a different procedure for articles such as Fox News Channel. In fact, I didn't realize that there was an issue until I was finished editing; which would explain why some of my edits disappeared. I wouldn't have gone and put them back in if I realized that they were missing for a reason. I'm a little unsure what you mean by "Any commentary from here on must be understood as good faith", could you explain? Also, I would like to get some of the changes that I made reinstated into the article, but I am confused as to what the procedure is to do so. Do I add a verbatim version of my modifications to the talk page? If there is consensus, how does it get to the main article? If you could address these questions for me it would be helpful in future when editing articles. I was also unaware that I couldn't clear my talk page, wikipedia should integrate a note onto the layout of talk pages making that clear. Chris 05:34, 9 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

I am more than happy to look at your edits, and will do so either tonight or tomorrow. It is late and this bottle of Robert Mondavi Merlot is looking mighty tasty. I had similar issues concerning inserting text that was based on the sources cited by opposing statements. If you would like to see these please look here I came into the picture about half way through. I know it is long, but you will be able to get a feel as to how it has come to this point. I am also a relatively new editor to Wikipedia and am also somewhat dumbfounded as to the current precedings. Thank you for looking out! OfForByThePeople 05:44, 9 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
