Nice to see ya back. I'm a bit curious why haven't they unblocked your old account if they've found you not guilty . Regards. Alæxis¿question? 10:50, 15 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi! I've found out that it was you who made this change. Why did you change Гулиа to Гҷлуҽ? This reads like Gchluch and it doesn't sound like Abkhaz surname. Haven't you been mistaken? Alæxis¿question? 19:11, 18 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Kosovar Flag edit

Dear Luis, I shall keep you up to date with the developments regarding the Kosovar flag. Well, finally, after months of talk the international tender for the flag and coat of arms of Kosovo was announced on Wednesday and the participants have two weeks to come up with their proposals. The guidelines state that the flag must not use any eagles, ie neither Albanian nor Serbian, and it must not be based on red and black (Albanian) nor red, white and blue (Serbian), and it must reflect the Kosovar aspiration for European and Transatlantic integration. In other words, expect an awful, awful flag with European wannabe elements, ie blue background, yellow stars, maybe some American-style stripes, which I personally think will completely lack any character and will be a copycat.

My personal hope is to have a nice and positive flag, full of colours similar to the South African flag, or even Jamaican or Tanzanian. Anyhow, apologies for probably boring you to death but I will have that flag in my official documents and I don't want any Bosnian triangles or an EU-style logo. All the best, Kosovar 19:32, 15 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Greetings again Luis. Yes, the statue of Skenderbeg was placed in central Prishtina after the war and you can see photos of it below:
Moreover, I printed the full page newspaper advert containing all the details of the flag and coat of arms (emblem) tender and you can download it using the following link:
Will keep you posted with any other developments. It is precisely the flags similar to the Abkhaz one that I don't want to see selected -- if it has to be neutral and original I would like to see some positive colours. By the way, you're Canadian, right? Well, Canada has one of my favourite flags, but in the case of Kosovo having the red colour as the base colour will not be acceptable. Anyhow, Veton Surroi is an extremely intellegent man and I would trust him with the flag, but I am not sure how much say he will have. But, you're right, we must stay positive and wait to see what they come up with -- I will be pleasantly suprised with they select a decent design. Best regards, Kosovar 23:23, 15 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
Luis, apologies for interrupting you again, but I thought you might be interested in seeing some of the proposals put forward by Kosovar artists prior to the publication of the official criteria for the Flag of Kosovo. Most of these are very, very poor in my view.
Yours, Kosovar 14:24, 17 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Socks... edit

Hi, yes, it might well be the guy is a new Buffadren/Mauco sock. I don't yet see enough evidence to go on for a block, but we'll keep an eye open.

One thing, however, is much more certain, unfortunately: You are Ldingley, and Ldingley is indef-blocked. I mean, I appreciate your honesty in openly saying it's you, but still, what made you think if you're blocked you can just go to a new account and continue editing as if nothing had happened? Sorry, I'll have to re-block you here. I can understand you may want to appeal the Ldingley block, as it was apprently pretty harsh, but you'll have to take that up with the original blocking admins. Let me know if you need advice. From what I gather, you were found to have edited image description pages in an attempt to prevent some of your old bad image uploads from deletion, and you'll need to come up with some good explanation why you thought those edits were justified. In at least one case, a previous editor had stated very clearly why the tag you were restoring wasn't correct. Fut.Perf. 15:51, 22 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hm, it turns out Shell Kinney wasn't really aware of you having this new account, and he doesn't seem too keen on seeing you unblocked, so I'm afraid an unblock is out of the question right now. Please take this up with him and the other admins who have been on the images case. Fut.Perf. 21:56, 22 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
